This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The last time was nearly ten years ago, and I enjoyed my stay back then, which is why I decided to return. I have thoroughly enjoyed my two-night stay this time as well.
The hotel’s reception staff was kind and very helpful, assisting me in upgrading to one of the executive rooms. The Old Tom Morris room is absolutely worth the cost, as it is the most spacious on-site, with a great sea view, very quiet (which is vital for a good night's sleep), and a super-large bathroom with a roll-top bath. I love the room's decoration and color scheme, which gives me a warm, relaxing feel.
The location of the hotel is as convenient as ever, which is one of the reasons I chose to stay here in the first place. It's within a 10-minute walk to the heart of the town, and there are sufficient parking spaces in front of the hotel as well. I have fond memories of the hotel’s breakfast, and the quality has not dropped over the years. There are many hot dishes to choose from, and the fruits and yogurt are still my favorites.
I would also like to give a special mention to the efficient service of the housekeeping staff. After I requested additional bath cubes and shower gel at reception, they were delivered to my room before I even returned upstairs!
Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Du Vin St Andrews, and it will always be my first choice of accommodation when I visit St Andrews.

For 30 pounds the steak was extremely underwhelming, looked pale even though theoretically it was cooked as medium (must be the way its done) The pork ribs were at least 60% fat thus not as appetising. Service was slow and underwhelming, not rude but seemed like the staff was lost even though there were only 3-5 tables sitting in at the time.
The admosphere was saved by the insane views but the decor is straight from the 2000s
Maybe it was a bad day but would not choose to eat here again.

The accommodation was in a great location, e.g. Isle of May day trip in mind. Quiet room, good beds. The breakfast is plentiful even for vegans and the service is excellent. Thanks! We recommend!

If I am not mistaken, this is the place I would buy onion Bahia every day before I went to work at Abbotsford Nursing Home in Strathburn drive. They were delicious. That was back in 1987.
Excellent place for lunch, great choices of gluten free food. Staff are very helpful and take time to explain how food is prepared. We will definitely visit this cafe again 🙂 Cafe also have gluten free cakes.
Wonderful Community Run cafe.
Brilliant atmosphere and Customer service. Many other businesses could take lessons from here. Food was delicious and quickly prepared despite the busyness of the cafe.

Our 1st time in here for an evening meal.
We were very neat on the time for last order tables but the staff accommodated us and explained we were on the limit for booking a table.
Great food, service and different surroundings.
Had been really looking forward to a visit. Planned to have a coffee after the drive from Edinburgh then shop for cheese and then back to cafe for lunch.
Brusque instruction on where to sit then surprise we were having just coffee and a cold drink. We then waited and waited. Only when 2 tables who arrived after us were served did we realise it was time to leave.
There was entertainment from another table who were served a charcoal toastie. They tried to deal with the situation with little help or attention from the waiting staff - who looked busy but not very effective.
Disappointed but hope the cheese from the shop will be good

Went in for a doner kebab. Asked if I wanted salad separately. I said yes that's fine as I thought it would go soggy and make food cold taking it home if it was added. Wasn't told it's and extra £1 (it does say on board but I only noticed once I had ordered) Reason for two stars is 1/Waited 25 minutes for a doner kebab! 2/ Paying an extra £1 for salad (or even if it was just standard) I expect to receive cabbage, lettuce, tomato and onion like most Kebab shops. They did have cabbage but my salad came with lettuce and onion only. Also the chilli sauce pot is tiny. For £10 I expect more.
