This is a beautiful hotel on one of the most expensive streets in Scotland for real estate. Still, it was very reasonably priced when you consider that. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the bar is nice and dark and secluded so it feels cosy and private. Patrick is an excellent barman and really knows his stuff. The front desk staff were also superb, very friendly and helpful (and loved my dog). Most of the hotel is dog friendly and this was a big plus as we were able to celebrate a birthday without having to get a dog sitter. I have been here a couple of times and would not hesitate to go back. Only very tiny criticism would be the windows in the sea view room needed a clean but only on the outside, the room itself was beautiful.

Recently stayed at Hotel Du Vin for three nights with our French bulldog. The hotel is fantastic, and the service, especially from Shannon and Kelsey, was excellent. They accommodated all our requests with ease. The breakfast was delicious with a wide selection. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit St. Andrews.

This is a wonderful hotel! Everything is within walking distance; the Old Course, the University, St. Andrew’s Castle, the Cathedral, and so much more. Restaurant was very good. The staff (Beth, Kelsey, Shannon, and Meghan) were so lovely and made our stay special. They were always helpful and had great suggestions for places to eat and visit. We look forward to returning!

What put me off was seeing one of the kitchen staff members placing chips on my plate with his bare hands (no gloves). He did the same with the topping on another plate - no gloves, nothing. And I could watch all of this directly from my table because he didn't even bother to hide it. We didn't want to make a drama and we ate our food - it was very average, especially for that price. It was rather our last visit there.

Had a beautiful meal with very friendly and attentive staff. My only criticism is that it's a big overpriced, but the food portions were quite large, not quite USA sized, but more than enough pet person. Gorgeous view out across the forth from most tables. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible.
