Great restaurant. Coeliac well catered for.

The first time back in a few years, the food was amazing, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend and can't wait to return.

I visited recently and took my granddaughter. Ziggys is a long-standing business in the town and been several times. The meal was absolutely delicious. Thank you

Decided to eat here as we had two hungry kids and we like rock music. A great choice. Not that many seats so would definately be worth booking at busier times but at 4.15pm were only 2 tables being used. Great decor with plenty of signed items and music accoutrements to look at while we waited to be served (which wasn't long). Good choice menu for us and the kids. We had veggie burrito and the firehouse chilli. Kids had a burger and macaroni. All polished off. Really nice and I can thoroughly recommend the chilli. Good sized portions and good service. Will gladly come back to Ziggy's.

We've been coming to St.Andrews for years and have always said we would try Ziggys and finally we did. We went for the daytripper menu and I would definitely recommend it as it was amazing quality and fantastic value. The atmosphere was fantastic with music to match the decor and the staff were really friendly. We are definitely planning on returning.

Superb food with really friendly service in a great atmosphere

Probably the biggest hamburger I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. It was so good that I finished the whole thing though. Fun place with great food.

Very nice selection of food. Great steaks with good sides and sauces. I really enjoyed the pepper corn sauce on my steak. Very quick and polite service. Lots of signage of rock stars.

Keep going back for more ... fab steaks, especially the '10oz H Bone' cooked to perfection!

Love this place, always go when in St Andrews.

We were there in July 2024, stayed across the street at the Cleveden House and ate there several times. We had a group of 5 couples and they always accommodated us. We ate there several times and never disappointed. Had my first “baby Guinness”, the shot. Great food and atmosphere!

I've been going here since the 80s and now take my own kids. Never had a bad meal. In a time when portions seem to be shrinking, Ziggy's remains good value for money and portions are getting bigger! Staff are great too!

Our friend's birthday took us to Ziggy's for dinner. As usual the meals were tremendous. Well prepared, well cooked and well presented. Service was friendly and not rushed. A great choice for dinner which didn't break the bank! A must do if you are in St Andrews!

The place has a welcoming atmosphere and with the rock theme, together with the beautiful music they gave me a 5 star experience: the drinks are served with ice and lemon even if they are not on tap, they serve the dishes with the sauces you ask for. No criticism

Great dinner at Ziggys. Nice wine, beer and cocktail options. Fish and chips was very good and choice of potato. Nice side salad and peas were not overcooked. My family liked their steak and peppercorn sauce. Mashed were unexciting. It gets hot in the restaurant and smoky from fajitas.

We had a day trip to St Andrews and after the Old Course visit we came to Ziggys for Lunch. Great music decor in the restaurant. We both had two of their lunch specials . Caesar Salad with a TON of Chicken white meat pieces. Absolutely delicious. Scottish Haddock with Salad and Fries. Another great dish. We also had their small batch rum with ginger beers. A beautiful afternoon. Our server was very attentive. Thank You Phil and staff. Very grateful for a great meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely outstanding Sunday roast. Have tried most places in St Andrews. I haven’t been lucky enough you try Ziggys until tonight as usually sold out, can now understand why as it was really good.

Great food and first class service. Only tiny gripe would be the need for a better extractor fan to remove the smell of food from dining area. The smell sticks to your clothes. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Honestly the ONLY issue we have with the place is it's not close to home. We came here for our Honeymoon and everything was amazing. The decor, food and music were awesome. From the symbol light defusers to the querky signs in the gents we LOVED it.

Good food, cool retro diner with musical memorabilia on the walls. Prices were a bit steep imo, but good portion sizes and reasonable lunch menu prices. Overall food was good and would probably return.

A Scottish American-bistro style restaurant. Excellent comfort food. Very good service - friendly and efficient. Burger was very good. Vegetable fajita lovely. And nice puddings. All in all a pleasant meal out.

We had a lovely evening meal. The food was delicious, with the portion sizes being extremely generous. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really relaxed and friendly

Little disappointing, nachos as a starter were pretty good. Burger and fries for main, burger was alright but the chips were dreadful. The fries were poor quality and very crispy, stuck together and tasted of other food cooked in the oil. The main issue for the visit was that our entire party left smelling as if we had been in a takeaway kitchen, all of us smelt of cooking oil. Service was brilliant however, and all requests dealt with quickly.

Lovely restaurant good atmosphere and brilliant food

The missus and I got a steak burger each. Granted, the patty was delicious and well cooked and the service was polite and reasonably timed. We got fish fingers for our toddler- his fish fingers were basic, breaded, frozen ones, his chips were bog standard frozen oven chips that were soggy. Our chips were supposed to be triple cooked bad boys but they weren’t crispy or very tasty in the slightest- just big, hard, undercooked chips of poor quality potato. The whole meal was a bit 90’s… not really good enough for nowadays.

There is a reason i keep coming back ...because it is just the best. Even coming over to give my daughter some crayons and paper when we didn't ask just adds to the already great service.

Fantastic Mexican food in a casual setting. It is what I would call "comfort food", a phrase I came up with recently.

I went to Ziggys for a meal on the 20th of December with three friends on a Christmas day out. We were not disapointed !! Great food ( so tasty ), great cheerful service and overall a superb experience. I can't praise it enough. Highly recommend a visit, try the ribs and Chicken wing combo, amazing !! Ronnie Laing.

Superb find in St Andrews, couldn't fault anything, best rack of ribs I've ever tasted! Portions sizes are brilliant. Will definitely be back when In the area.

hi I have know idea how this restaurant gets a good rating. We booked a table for Sunday the2/12/2023 only time we could get was 6 15 because it was so busy. God knows why. to start I could not get a seeded bun for my hamburger not a good start ordered it with stilton cheese, there was a scrape of cheese on the burger, my wife a cheese burger ,same thing hardly any cheese, coleslaw no dressing, we complained, the girl said she would tell the chef, nothing happened did not try to remedy the problem or offer a discount. I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could shocking and not cheap

Food and customer service were great 👍. But the atmosphere was not for me. It looks a bit untidy and the ceiling fans were very dusty and I kept wondering what if the dust particles drop on my food.

Great customer service and delicious food. Our two year old had a tantrum immediately when we walked in the door and the two working couldn’t have been more accommodating in getting our food to go.

Went for lunch today with my other half, ordered 2 steak burgers with sweet potato fries and normal chips, my fries were completely burnt physically couldn’t eat them and my partners chips were undercooked, overall £48 including 2 cokes and onion rings, left feeling sick and now have dodgy stomachs after the dodgy meat burger. Not one to leave bad reviews but really disappointed and not cheap either.

We had heart great reviews about Ziggys and were recommended by a friend. I took my partner here for his birthday as we never usually have meals out. We were so disappointed! The starter was over cooked, potato skins were rock solid and the nachos had hardly any cheese on them. Main meals were small - I ordered a burger which stated it came with “Scottish cheddar and JD BBQ sauce” we were charged extra for the sauce and cheese on top of the price of the burger. My partner ordered the chicken and steak fajitas which it states comes with sour cream, cheese, guacamole etc again we were charged for these on top of the meal itself which does not happen elsewhere. What he received was 2 small pieces of steak and 3 small pieces of chicken underneath a mountain of peppers. The pudding we had to send back twice before changing to another pudding (my partner had asked for no sauce on his apple pie and both times it came with sauce, when he asked the 3rd time he was told “well that’s just how it comes” by an angry employee). Almost everything appeared to be microwaved, you heard the ping before your meals/deserts came out and with being able to see in the kitchen you could see that food was not being stored properly e.g. chicken wings in a box sitting on top of the oven. We had this and 2 drinks and it was a total of £78. The restaurant is very small and compacted which in itself was fine however the kitchen is open plan and when cooking the room was filling up with smoke which caused a few customers to cough and open windows. Staff were not welcoming and did not appear interested or happy to be there. Safe to say we will not be back, very disappointing!

Sorry don't quite know what to say about this place. Read the music was loud n heavy.....ish but no. Lots of memorabilia cover the walls of this small restaurant. But i stupidly didn't comprehend after tagging along my wife and daughter if its not ribs,steak or a burger you want your in the wrong place

Visited this afternoon with my family. Fantastic place, fab food with speedy & friendly service. Everyone left satisfied with full bellies. Will definitely be back, very impressed.

Unfortunately I have no picture. Only videos (which can't seem to post here) of the whole place singing and dancing in a crazy but addictive fashion. My mother and I decided to go for dinner at a new place we'd never heard of at 4/5pm, phoned ahead to book a table and they warned there was live music and it was likely going to be busy - we went oh really? A little bit of guitar and a cocktail or two, how delightful! Turned up, guitar and singer are already going (and he was great) and the whole place is a piece of art - covered from roof to floor in rock and roll memorabilia, wonderful and beautiful to look at. Emily, our waitress, is on us quick! She is wonderful with recommendations, friendly, and cheerful. She gets our drinks going fast and gives us a little time to choose food. Food is delicious, I ordered the garlic prawns and the rack of ribs for main. It's so damn hot and delicious - I'm having to fight the urges between put it down and give it a week to cool down to a easily edible temperature and just burn the roof of my mouth by swallowing the plate whole. I'm not sure what happened next, or if there even was a specific 'thing' that happened, but one or two cocktails turned into pitcher after pitcher, tables were talking and laughing to eachother and shots were being bought and going around the bar. The 'gentle guitar and cocktails' turned into a full place dance and sing along with people up on chairs and screaming the lyrics to Proclaimer songs. The owner was up on the tables dancing and passing out shots like she was desperate to empty the bar, my sister was doing shots with Emily the waitress (of Emily's choice and managed to peg my sister bang on for a rum drinker so made her up something that is now her favourite), I'm dancing in the middle of the roof with the owners friend whom I didn't get the name of but she sang so wonderfully well, and my mother is being chatted up by a bunch of golfers that up until 9pm we had never met nor spoken to and yet now feel like our closest friends. A night we had planned to end at around 9:30pm, turned into a midnight being dragged out by my designated driver while I continued to sing (badly) on my way out the door. This morning I am rough, my headache is extreme and I am severely dehydrated - and I thank Ziggy's entirely for that. My family and I had one of those nights you tell your grandkids about I'm many decades to come to prove grandma was once fun and crazy. Synopsis - The place is a rock-and-roll masterpiece, the drinks are delicious, the food is so damn good it's now my last-meal-on-earth, the staff are some of the nicest, most authentic people I've ever met and the whole atmosphere of the place is addictive. To say I'll be back is an understatement.

Booked Ziggys for a family get together (26 of us). Service was excellent with all food arriving at the tables at the same time, staff with smiles on their faces. Very efficient-food delicious (and we had the choice of the full menu - no set menu) - would certainly recommend. Great music by Jamie Button

Loved it! Me and my girlfriend came here for our anniversary dinner. We felt it was fitting as we are both big Bowie fans, the restaurant is classic rock themed with an emphasis on Bowie. The interior decor is awesome, even in the gents room !! Food was awesome I had a burger so big I needed to get taken home in a wheelbarrow, and my girlfriend had the macaroni cheese, which she loved. We were served by Marcin who had an awesome sense of humour, he was very chatty, friendly and helpful. Me and my girlfriend sat for a while after finishing our dinner, did a couple of shots and chilled out listening to the awesome music they were playing. I’d really recommend it for anyone, but be sure to book a table in advance as it’s very small and might get busy.

Nice decor and atmosphere badly let down by quality of food. Chicken wings soggy, steak in fajitas and sandwich almost impossible to cut or chew. Fajitas had far too much soy sauce.Haddock grey and soggy, typical of frozen haddock. Really no excuse for lack of fresh fish in this area. Specials for dessert not available even though this was early evening.Glasses and bottles left piling up on the table. Waiting staff passed by many times without taking anything away. When we complained, the waitress did take off cost of dessert ( only had one) and service charge but we would rather have a good meal and pay the price. Don't like service charge being added automatically. Customers should have choice of whether to add a service charge. Certainly would not go back or recommend. Very disappointing.

Great value for money food fantastic not a rip off like some places in Town. Portions are plentiful. Would recommend this place to visitors and friends. Drinks menu is very reasonable. Small tip forget the starters as the main meals are more than enough to contend with. Be back soon.

Ordered the ribs with hickory sauce. They were delicious. Margarita was also spot on. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Location gets busy and doesn’t seat loads of people so be organized. No complaints other than I wish the portion of chips was bigger to make sure I didn’t miss any of the hickory sauce.

Called in to St Andrews on our way elsewhere. Parked in car park opposite this restaurant so thought we would give it a try. Good service, good beer and good food.

amazing place !! staff were absolutely brilliant, attentive and energetic. came here with 2 family members, i ordered the soup of the day (which was red pepper and tomato) while they ordered ribs . the food was delicious all round, packed with flavour and really a treat, i cant begin to say how much i enjoyed it !! had a fudge sundae which was so good too! very kid & dog friendly with great jams, comfortable furniture and incredible staff :)

The chicken wings looked like they just whacked them off a low flying pterodactyl. They left the tips on, and there were feathers attached. They fried the feathers. They were undercooked and there was blood in a big vein. Other than that it was great!
