Good food at a reasonable price.

Expensive, mediocre mains quality and poor delivery. Food was lukewarm and undercooked! Must do better!

Bar service was good staff very helpful and kind

Lovely family resteraunt attached to the caravan park. Fantastic views over the countryside. Good set of family uncomplicated favourites on the menu. Nice fresh tasty fare. Selection of cakes. If you are on the road with a young family, this would be a great stop.

Update - May 2024 No complaints about the bar and service, however,you can't get a meal after 6pm in the restaurant, which I personally think is too early to stop serving. ****************************************** Campsite bar - great asset to the Park. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. However, prices have increased considerably lately.

Late lunch, the ladies serving were friendly and chatty. Nothing was too much bother. Food on offer was varied and a specials board. Food served was fresh cooked, tasty, plentiful and value for cost. I'll be back.

Caravan park resteraunt Homely simple food but tasty Family friendly and reasonably priced Their green curry is nice I recently attended a 65th birthday party there and it was great The staff were super friendly and efficient and I got a big plate of chicken drumsticks and chips for £20.Theres a bar there that has footy on the telly. Plenty of parking

Good wholesome pub food at a reasonable price. The 11yr old birthday party made conversation a bit difficult but i suspect this is not a regular occurrence.

Stopped in on way home from St Andrews. Staff were very helpful and I had the Stk Pie which was fantastic then outside to play on the swings with my grandson. Well worth a visit

Christmas meal out, large group of us. Coped well with us, no problems.

Just home after having meal with friends from work. Food excellent and the Gentleman who served our meal and drinks was very attentive and friendly. Hopefully be back again soon.

Went for lunch today. Great service, friendly staff and lovely food.

Ate lunch here with family. Very tasty food at a very reasonable price. We sat outside with our dogs with no problem. You order at the bar and food is delivered to your table shortly after. Would recommend.

Great place to meet friends for lunch. Food is fresh and the menu is varied. Staff can't do enough for you. Seen some other customers having afternoon tea which looked amazing too. Great for kids and plenty parking available.

Nice relaxing place with some good food especially their panini's. With a wee kids soft play. Kids play area should be free I think if your buying food.

Friendly, fast service. Spacious. With indoor and outdoor seating. Children's play area inside and a children's play park outside. Ramp access for wheelchairs and prams.

Had lunch yesterday....breaded haddock and chips....was nice but personally I thought there was to much breadcrumbs on it...but that's just personal opinion..was very tasty

We stopped at Claytons as they had a bouncy castle out for the kids, great play park also for the kids. Food was lovely and fresh and staff were fantastic. We ate outside but the indoor restaurant looked lovely, we did take the kids into the soft play for some respite from the sun. Would recommend

Decent pub fayre can be a bit hit and miss

Blown away by our meal at the Clayton Restaurant & Bar. Absolutely outstanding food, whole table was super impressed with everything they ordered. Fish and chips and onion rings were up there with some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Very very well done, will be back for sure 🙌🏼

We went to clayton for a family meal we didn't think to prebook despite our daught having multiple allergies. Unfortunately there was nothing suitable on the menu for her but the chefs were quick to rustle something up so she wasn't left without. Brilliant service and very family friendly. Kids loved exploring the playground in between courses.

Was kept waiting unnecessarily for almost 15 minutes until being shown to a table despite so few customers. Staff were polite and apologetic. Table service. Meal was tasty. Was impressed by the cleanliness in restaurant and toilets.

Great for kids, softplay and food

This place is our favourite family place. Food is absolutely amazing and kids love to play at the soft area bit while we wait for food. Lovely friendly staff makes us feel welcome every time.

Friendly staff but the fish done in bread crumbs was deep fried and over done. The wife's was in batter and that was over done. Just wish that restaurant's would pan fry the fish done in bread crumbs but think those days are gone.

Food is nice, but poor service and bad attitude from servers.

Good food served 7 days a week. Resident for six years. Some disappointing nights as the policy for kids has changed over that time? The soft play is off limits come 8:30 and what are kids to do for the rest of the evenings entertainment. Cancelled bingo without notification and understaffed bar that relies on the good will of residents to collect glasses. Five star facility?? Good that there is a new build of swimming pool, sauna, gym and kids play area but fearing that if run as current club house that there will no improvement.

Great place for the grandchildren

We arrived to have a family Sunday lunch and after a long wait at the “please wait here to be seated” sign, we asked if we had booked. We said no and we were looking for a table for 4 adults and 2 children. “Ohhh I’m not sure we can do that” said a grumpy lady, who did not welcome us, and went off to presumably to ask the kitchen staff if they could possibly cope with a little more work! Not that there were many in the restaurant at the time, lots of empty tables, they are all reserved apparently! She returned and offered a table for 4 and said the children could sit at each end. She the told us in a most authoritative voice we MUST book next time! The thought of Oh sorry for being customers who want to spend a lot of hard earned cash with you! We certainly didn’t feel welcome. We took the table, went to find a couple of extra chairs at the back of the room. The woman returned and quick and aggressively asked where did we get the chairs from? I suppose we should have stood around the table for 10 minutes to see if a member of staff might get a couple of chairs for us. The food was reasonably good, however the woman collected our plates up before everyone had finished eating, didn’t ask us if we wanted a desert or coffee. After waiting for 15 minutes after finishing our main meal, I guess they either haven’t got any deserts left, or wanted us gone! We just paid up and left as quick as we could. Will we go again? Not likely!

Really nice food but poor service. Food took ages to come. Would go back, hopefully a better experience next time.

Disappointed, recommended by a friend so this is difficult. Nice view sadly that's all, my sweet chilli chicken panini tasted of panini only, cost £5.50 My wifes chicken burger was nice, but dry untoasted bun, shop bought coleslaw, chips ok, no salad, cost £10.25. I would say on both counts overpriced, bland and not worth the visit, we would not go back.

Polite staff, clean and pleasant venue, soft play great for the children. My family enjoyed their meals. No vegan choices on menu for me which I'd like to see changed.

Cosy bar. A bit of a wait sometimes for a drink as the staff also have to serve the restaurant and forget the people at the bar.

Good quality restaurant & bar at well positioned caravan park

Only a 4 star as im usually here to watch football but my team has never won when I've been here! I will keep coming back though, friendly staff and very attentive. Can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten here!

Choice of food was good, lots on your plate. Enjoyed meal, but didn't manage to eat it all as there was so much. Would recommend for meal and children's play area if there, separate from main dining room.

Place and food itself is great however the staff and service was shocking. 9 adults 4 kids we spent a good amount of money and tipped well but The way we were spoken too was so rude throughout our service. For this reason we wont be back
