I'm hoping this will be read as constructive, but our experience recently wasn't particularly favourable I am afraid. Firstly, the restaurant is like walking into someone's back room. Service was dreadfully slow for starter and main to be served, which, if the food was of really good quality would be acceptable. Unfortunately it was bland. Edible but bland. Brushetta was soaked with oil. Garlic mushrooms had zero taste. Main course pasta was bland. Male server just basically threw the sides on the table without asking who's they were. Female server, her nails were chipped and had dirt under them.

Absolutely brilliant, come out everytime very satisfied !!! Staff ,food, wine 🍷 all fantastic, best restaurant about🍷🍷👍😊

I had a nice meal. The pasta was creamy and tasty. I will come back here again.

Really can't fault Charlotte, Colin and the team. Beautiful food, lovely welcome and relaxing atmosphere. Seem to have been around forever and it's obvious why.

Pastas are gorgeous as always! My son love the pizza margarita and the cheese penne is my daughter’s favorite! Spaghetti carbonara is the best I’ve ever had!

Came for a quick meal with my daughter. Our server was Andrew, who provided an amazing service. The food was great, the quality of the fish and pasta blew me away, and the portions were amazing.

We had the early bird menu last night and I have to say it's the worst meal we have ever had. Our meals had been microwaved and we're too hot to even attempt to eat. Lasagne was a tiny bit of overcooked pasta in a pool of the blandest sauce with barely any meat, i never ate it. They had a cheek to call it lasagne. I'd describe it as soup. Tagliatelle was pasta in a watery sauce with processed ham and the meatballs were done in the same sauce that was poured over my so called lasagne. If this is the quality of food on their early bird menu stay clear. We will not be back, and will certainly be telling our friends and family to eat elsewhere too.

Our family has been going to Giovanni’s since the mid-80s and we’re made to feel so welcome every time we go. Food is fab, staff are always attentive and we’ll be going for years to come. A little hidden gem in Fife.

came here for our anniversary meal from recommendations. so I changed our times and host was very accommodating, place is very dated and needs freshened up, can see the kitchen from where we where sitting which for me was a bonus , we had the early bird 3 course for 19.00 Pp plates where quite scarce for example lasagne was just a lasagne no garlic bread no side salad which for me was extremely basic and was quite runny , overall the food was good , drinks where a bit pricey was told 3.50 for a gin came to 7.00 including a tin of lemonade so for me that's expensive, lager is from tins and not pints, really no atmosphere, chairs are uncomfortable and no table covers staff absolutely excellent. would I be back .....probably

Looks better on the outside than it does on the inside. Cheap, uncomfortable table and chairs, no music and no atmosphere. Oversalted zuppa di scampi, blue cheese in the chicken Giovanni clashed with the apricot brandy in the sauce. Service perfunctory, bill slapped down on the table. Won't be back.

Service speed fairly quick. But the timing between courses was longer than hoped. But it was fully booked, so it's expected.. Also have some access to view the chefs cooking right in front of your eyes at some tables which is a unique experience, it's like being at hell's kitchen except there's no some mad chef swearing, all running well and smooth, food is fantastic! Best in the region by a long shot. Ambient place to eat, very cozy, clean and inviting. it's like being at someone's house relaxing and having 5 star food served. No echoey uncomfortable feeling a that other restaurants give off with too much open space, This is perfect. Not great phone signal in building, but does offer free WiFi.

My daughter left her pasta dish, wife didn't like the carbonara. Pizza was alright, but we could have done better getting a takeaway from a supermarket.

Can't fault this establishment at all, the food was excellent, clean plates all round. The eating area is small enough to be cosy but not too small to be a crush. Definitely phone to book a table as it's always busy. Free on street parking outside at night or there is a large car park round the corner on Victoria Road. The servers were polite, prompt and well presented. I can highly recommend.

Not impressed at all. Pizza not worth it, a few olives on top, a tiny cut of bell pepper. I can get more from frozen pizzas… I don’t understand the nice reviews either. We got a starter and dessert, the most memorable thing was the dessert…. Price: more expensive than it worth Tasty? It was ok, but I won’t be coming again Three words: NOT WORTH IT

Brilliant restaurant, great food and very happy, helpful staff. This restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, is well run and a true credit to Charlotte and staff.

Nipped in last minute, staff where very helpful and the meal was great as usual

Food was mediocre at best, extremely slow service, we spent almost 2 hours there and by the end we couldn't wait any longer for the desert and left. We even had to wait over 10-15 minutes for drinks. Decor is a bit outdated and dark, felt like an old English pub. After paying the bill by card, I left a cash tip and asked for some change back, I had to wait even for that. Stuff is friendly, but seems like undertrained or the place itself is under stuffed.

Absolutely fantastic first class place too eat

Doesn't look like a posh 5* restaurant, but looks can be deceiving. Staff very efficient. The food is excellent, probably best in town. Definitely the best in town. My favourite place to go.

Lived in Kirkcaldy since birth, nearly 38 years and this was my first visit to Giovanni's. It's a small intimate restaurant that some would say was dated in a appearance. However first impressions most certainly are decieving, the staff and most definitely the owner were by far and away the nicest people I have met in a long time. They were so nice that you feel a bit like family, so much so if they asked you to help with the dishes you definitely would 😊😊 The meal was excellent and so relaxed, even though they were busy a 7.30 sitting didn't end until nearly closing time as we sat chatting and drinking. Would I return....... Definitely Would I recommend.... Absolutely

We came to Giovannis with lots of recommendations, our meal was good. My daughter and I had a prawn starter which would have been better if we'd had bread to mop up the sauce. All four of us enjoyed our main course. I don't think any of us were blown away! I think it was tasty but not amazing. We all said it was good, but not anything outstanding. The staff were friendly.

Nice place. Food is decent not bad but I wasn't wowed, the staff is really lovely and the social distancing rules are well followed. We spent a very nice evening and we didn't realise we stayed very late (were the last to leave). And they were totally professional about it.

Brilliant! Never been before & managed to book for our date night. Our table was later on at night. If I'm honest when I walked in I was a little underwhelmed, as I was expecting an ambient small romantic Italian restaurant. Its more like a little bingo hall. They were berh busy and our food took a while to come. When i did arrive it was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. The great good made up for it all. I would definitely return.

Food was amazing. Even my kids ate everything and they never finish their food. You could tell it was made fresh. It was clean and staff were great. Even the bathroom smelled nice. Shame we are only here one night because we'd love to go back.

Food very tasty, service could not be better. The young staff helpfull and smilling. Spotlessly clean. Prices good. The calemari cooked perfectly. Seating a little tight but not a problem. You will enjoy.

Good food, furniture a bit dated, strangely the lack of a table cloth made it feel odd. The temperature was a bit low. All said I would return based on food and price.

Spaghetti scoglio is amazing. As is the lasagna. Highly recommended. Also offer a takeaway service. 😊

Lovely and clean . Meal was really lovely but 2 1/2 hours for 2 courses was a bit on the long side . I think they could do with a bit more staff on hand . Only 2 waiting on the whole restaurant for drinks ,food orders and waitressing and making up the bill they were run off their feet Worthy of 5 stars if we hadn't waited so long .

Will not go back. Booked for 7pm left at 10pm waited for starters over an hour. Steak was so overcooked it got stuck in my throat. Waitress was lovely and apologetic. Owner didnt even come to table to apologise. When we arrived the owner just said your seats over there. Didnt take us. Sitting outside Alfies chippie waiting for decent food

This place is lovely . The owners are friendly and remember you from previous visits . This is the only place I like to go for Italian food it's outstanding.
