Don’t ask for delivery. It is shocking! We ordered 2 hrs ago and we were promised it was out for delivery each time we called. It’s infuriating. No more custom from us.

We went for an impromptu lunch after a walk around the park, we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. The 3 course set lunch menu was incredible value for how good the food is here, honestly the haggis fritters are to die for, and the garlic nan couple with the chicken tikka garam masala…absolutely brilliant. We had to wait 30 minutes as it is so popular and we hadn’t booked, but now I’ve been I’d happily wait longer if I had to.

Called as food had not arrived, had to wait another 20 mins so nearly 2 hours after ordering. Told woman food always luke warm but she disagreed. Driver had been out 10 mins & sure enough food lilyje warm, needed to be heated up in microwave. Food is excellent but they need to find a way of keeping the food hot.

Over 2.5 hours late. Cold food. Terrible services by the restaurant. Full refund required.

Order didn’t turn up and no update from restaurant as they had marked it as delivered I would avoid if I was you 🙁I’ve had to mark the quality of the food down to submit the review but I’ve no idea how good or bad it would actually be 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ordered food 17:30, latest delivery time 18:50 actual delivery 20:05, phoned engaged for 19:15 to 20:00 person on phone did find out when delivery was due. Driver not interested, food Luke warm

Another lovely meal as always. Been eating here for over two years, never disappointed. Food always fresh, hot, delicious and well presented. This was a birthday treat for seven of us and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Thank you.

Just ordered a Lamb pasanda for delivery,which i had in the restaurant on a different occasion, this was absolutely disgusting, nothing like the meal I had before, the colour was bright yellow, which was totally different too ,the rice was wet,just a pile of mush on a plate, really disappointed, and definitely not be ordering again.

Booked for Christmas Day 4pm booking. Eventually got table at 4 35. Table not ready. Absolute chaos. Asking owner when I booked table there would only be 2 bookings as last year there was 3 and wasn't acceptable. Customer pressure. Just GREED if you ask me.Turns out There WAS 3 Settings. Out table had no crackers Linen napkins or a Christmas candle. Instead we had to ask for cutlery. We had cheap black napkins. Food spilled on one of our part jacket. It was Absolute Chaos with Take away collections. Which seemed to be a PRIORITY . Female jobs worth got our bill wrong by £10 .SHE WAS ALSO VERY RUDE DISGRACEFUL.

Absolute disgrace, waited over 2 hours for the delivery just too arrive cold not good enough for the price you have to pay in the first place

Maan bread brick hard in parts, strongly suspect it wasn't made today but reheated, tasted awful, binned it. Have video of how crunchy it was. No mango in main meal, glorified base sauce, nothing more . Overall you succeeded in convincing me to never eat your food again. totally below average Indian fare.

As always the food is excellent! That said, we waited an extra 30 minutes ( so far) for delivery. This has happened every time we ordered. Just appears they struggle with providing good service levels. When busy they fail, not through not trying but just inefficient. Booking tables mean nothing to them with twice in one night let down. Sort it out as your food is terrific! Just getting really fed up with service.

it was late because of the street lights being turned on but the food was cold currys where hot but chips and pakora cold had to reheat wasn't nice

The food was incredible. But we waited an extra 40 minutes from the time they said the food was ready. However, it was Saturday night so we expected a bit of a wait. Absolutely could not fault any of the food. Will 100% order again.

Ordered a curry for collection at 19:00, however it was not ready until 19:40. Not only this, but the order was missing the pakora and poppadoms that were paid for - which was not realised until we were home. The food itself was lukewarm, and no where near the usual quality, lacking spice and flavour on most dishes. After being regulars of Ashiqs for so long, it was bitterly disappointing and we will not be back

Food was fantastic , delivery was ridiculous! Waited around 2 hours on it being delivered , given a time of 7:40-8:00pm food arrived just before 9 !!!!!

Delivery time was fine. However this will be a first and last visit. Byriani was mediocre full of mixed frozen veg and had unfortunately been over powered by the almost 1/4 lemon in it. Fish and chips (granted its not an indian dish) was inedible.

As usual excellent quality!! 👍. As usual service is late😞. A real pity as the food is second to none in Dunfermline but the service is always poor no matter how much they try….. just hire a few more people please 🙏. It’s getting to the point we may reluctantly start to look elsewhere

Originally quoted 45 - 60mins for delivery. Ordered 4.30pm, nothing arrived by 6pm so I phoned them. Eventually arrived around 6.30pm, 2hrs after I ordered it. One curry sauce was missing and the guy even asked for an extra £1 for the masala sauce.

Waited for over 3 hours. Phoned 2 times during that to ask where it was they said it was on its way phoned again said diver is here now and will be delivered now. still never came

While the food may be good their service lets them down dramatically. Over 2 hours for delivery is ridiculous. Phone Line constantly busy so you can't get in contact with anyone as ask what's happening either!

Shocking. Ordered at 6:25pm and it’s now 8:36pm and still no food. Cannot get through on phone. Awful service.

Very good quality and food was piping hot. We’ve learned to avoid ordering on a Friday or Saturday evening and if you do you’ll get a really good meal!

Ordered over 2 hours ago and food still not arrived and cannot get through to them on the phone. Ridiculous service

Ordered at 7pm, was supposed to arrive 8:10, it’s now 9:05 and still no delivery. Called the restaurant 65 times before we got through and even when we did get through spoke to someone who “went check on our order” and all they did was put the phone down for 12 mins before we hung up. Managed to get through for a 2nd time where we were told our order would be another 20 mins minimum meaning 2.5 hour wait on ONE curry and ONE rice. Absolutely ridiculous, will never be ordering again.

Delivery didn't even arrive. After a long day of travelling home was looking forward to some Indian food. Waited over 2 hours. Very disappointing.

Collected from restaurant, food came 15 minutes after scheduled time. Food was freezing cold after a 5 minute drive from restaurant to my home, disappointed as usually a pleasant experience dining in. Takeaways seem to be a lower priority.

Best Indian food I've ever had and I've been to a lot of restaurants over the years. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.

Outstanding range of dishes and flavours. Lamb shank like butter and our chicken and prawn dishes were fresh and tasty. The taka-dahl side dish top class as was the nan breads. Limited range of wines but venue now on my favourite list

My 1st time eating in this restaurant, what can I say. Food was totally delicious I mainly had chicken dishes. I was out with the family so had tasters of each others meals Can’t fault the place and I came out full and we all picked of the set menu.

Delivery took a bit longer than expected but the food was excellent. Great portion sizes. Will order again!

One of the best nepalease restaurants in the Uk I have been to, the food was really delicious and exquisite. The staff was really nice and welcoming and there was a good vibe.

We didn't order starters, only chicken tikka masalla, plain nan, chicken curry and boiled rice. Orders were mixed up and a long delay, we understand these things happen however a little courtesy of an apology and an explanation of delay would have relaxed us a bit better instead of watching others being served before us. The food was delicious!!! The staff kindly ordered us a taxi afterwards but nothing has been acknowledged about the delay, but it sounds like it has been across the online orders as well as in the restaurant. Hopefully these issues will be addressed as we would love to give full stars.

Went there with friends who love curries but are very hard to please. Everyone found the food outstanding, so tasty, fresh and plentiful. The male waiter worked so hard and always had a smile on his face. Will definitely be back

As always an absolutely delicious lunch at Ashiqs’s today. We had poppodoms & the chutney tray, vegetable pakora, Seekh kebab, Lamb Madras, Chicken tikka passanda with pilau rice and a garlic Naan.

My first time here with friends, it won't be my last. The food was lovely, the atmosphere most welcoming!

Top marks for everything! Great service, beautiful food and zero complaints! Very friendly and helpful staff, food as tasty as you can get, and very fast service. Fresh ingredients and tasted fantastic! Can’t wait to eat here again! 100% would recommend for anyone!

Probably one of the best Indian /Nepalese restaurants in fife in my opinion I've tried many Indian restaurants and ashiqs is definitely 💯 spot on .

Waited over 2 hours on delivery, phoned to ask where it is girl on phone left us for over 10 minutes with no answer so tried to phone back took over 15 minutes to get on phone with someone only for us to be met with a very rude women who completely ignored our issues and refused to give us a time for how long the food will be until we asked and her answer felt very fake and a complete lie, very disappointing!!

Quality of food was excellent as always, unfortunately, experience was spoiled as I ordered food at around 5pm, delivery time estimated between 18.10 and 18.30, it eventually arrived at 19.05 after I phoned the restaurant at 18.45.

Bit of a nightmare with my online order. Placed at 6pm. Still waiting at 720pm. Tried to phone numerous times. Phone constantly engaged. My partner had to go down to the restaurant at 745pm as the payment had already been taken. Staff didn't seem to know about the order and had to look for it. (it was placed on their website). It was prepared as he waited. Staff had no explanation or apology. The restaurant was full on a Sunday so they clearly don't have the capacity or staffing to deal with deliveries. I gave 2 stars as the food is really nice, however after reading several similar reviews I will never use the delivery service again. You need more staff and an ordering system that actually works. It's very unprofessional! If you're too busy, just don't offer the service and have people waiting. Also have someone who can actually answer your phone!

Never arrived, I had to go to the restaurant and ask what’s going on, they said it was out for delivery…..it wasn’t as they then brought my order out 10 minutes later with original just eat delivery ticket. Restaurant was very busy and clearly not enough stuff to full fill orders

Really nice place. Would go back. Booked a table for 2 on website. Got a confirmation email from restaurant soon after confirming table. Good start. Turned up and got seated immediately. Got offered drinks very soon after. Choice of drinks was good. Menu was large and wide variety. Food came in good time. The servings were the best I’ve seen in a restaurant in a while. Please don’t change this! Got a lamb garlic chilli and was just right. Spicy but not overbearing and could taste it just right. Staff not the most charismatic of people but polite and helpful so can’t fault. Can get busy at weekends so worth booking in advance. Nice interior and would happily go back. On and the price was reasonable for 2 people so all good.

I have used this place for a long time but the ordering and delivery aspect is a SHAMBLES. They need to get there house in order and also have some one who answers the phone who can communicate clearly. Now 9pm and still no good. 2 hours and 10 mins and counting......

Service was appalling, the front of house stuff couldn't care less and have no pride in what they do. The words sultry and rude spring to mind. The saving grace was the food: it was tasty and plenty of it but that said, we won't be back due to the lacklustre waiting staff.

Usually a fantastic place and generally can’t fault the food in majority. However the last few orders have been consistently poor in terms of service and delivery. They keep blaming their online systems not showing the orders properly. Good measure for that would be to change it or upgrade it. Waited over an hour and close to closing to find out my order was apparently lost or just received. I advised this isn’t the first time.. they wanted to change and item that would take too long too make. Fair enough swapped it for another after advising that they couldn’t refund with cash and the card payment would take 5 days. Got the order after a wee while and it was the poorest tasting order I’ve had yet from here. No real flavour, could tell it was thrown together quickly. Had to laugh at the tub with complimentary butter sauce. Ie the left over sauce from my order or butter chicken. Do better Ashiqs. It’s not hard to say here’s a discount off your next order for messing it up (due to your poor systems) or throw in a couple popadoms extra or something at least. Usually the food is good and very good value for money. Tonight’s and several other others of recent have been poor. Somethings not clicking well and needs improved. Thanks again.

1st time trying Ashiqs, phoned up to place an order for delivery, half an hour after delivery time passed I started phoning the restaurant to see what the hold up was, didn't get through, pretty sure they kept hanging up on me. Placed an order with another restaurant and that came with no problems! The ashiqs delivery came 2 hours after the time it stated and we turned it away (practically finished the food from the other order too). The driver said to us that it happens all the time! Absolutely ridiculous service and won't be back!

This restaurant I would recommend to everyone meals are first class .staff are great a special kan he is a fantastic worker in there very friendly..he is very helpful. They two woman also are fantastic works to .friendly too The food is first class never had a bad meal in . Tell you how good it was we were going to have our wedding reception in it .the only thing that stopped use was they couldn't close the restaurant for use .. I would get yourself to this restaurant and try it yourself you wont be disappointed xxx

The food was delivered so so late, it was cold as the driver went to the wrong house. It was sat on 'enjoy your food' for 65 minutes,not impressed

We really enjoyed our food, it was such good quality and such a reasonable price. However we were disappointed as we’d deliberately put a timed order in to have a meal prior to our family coming over. We appreciate a small time discrepancy but 30 minutes was disappointing

Ordered at 6:37pm, it arrived at almost 9pm. It's a Saturday night so understand it was busy, however the driver said nothing about it, just handed the food to my partner and left. when the food arrived it was hot which I suppose means they cooked it not long before it was sent out, but again, over an hour after the estimated delivery time.

We are vegetarian and we found whatever we ordered that was so tasty.only we didn’t get vegetarian dumplings but of course you can expect lots of veggies food in Scotland area specifically for vegetarian food . 10/10 rating. Must go place.

Won’t be getting anything ever again shocking service left me hanging on phone call for 30 minutes waited nearly 3 hours for food to be delivered and didn’t enjoy it when it came. Won’t be rating any stars.

the delivery was 1 hour and 20 minutes later than the quoted time. We therefore missed, the opportunity to order from a more reliable restaurant.

Ashiqs is my favourite restaurant but tonight’s delivery was disappointing. Ordered at 8pm, was meant to arrive by 21:00-21:20 and didn’t arrive until after 10pm. The curry was cold and the pompadoms were stale.

Food was over an hour late and food missing despite a phone call to them to confirm.....so bad which is a shame as the food is good but service is as ever AWFUL!!!!! Don't take the orders if you can't fulfil them properly!!

Ordered a takeaway but had to wait 1hour and 20 minutes over the time quoted. It was a Saturday night and understand that the restaurant could be busy but surely if they don't have enough staff to meet demand then don't take the order. Had no apology about the lateness and missed the opportunity to order from a more reliable restaurant. Won't use them again.

Estimated delivery time was up to 60mins at checkout which would have been 6.15. The restaurant moved delivery time to up to 7.05. I tried calling at 7.15 but they’d switched phones off then replied to a message saying it would be by 7.45. I tried cancelling but both just eat and the restaurant were no help. Food was turned away 7.50 as was getting as taxi was arranged for 8. Wouldn’t have ordered if I knew it would take that long or they wouldn’t answer a phone call.
