The best restaurants in Clackmannanshire Central Scotland

Visited last night with family for birthday celebration restaurant was fairly busy but served quite fast for a starter I had muscles in white wine sauce as I love seafood but very disappointing was completely tasteless and a lot of muscles weren't properly open so much so I couldn't eat it when the waiter arrived to clear the tables I told him the muscles were completely tasteless and he ignored me we then had a very long wait for our second course so much I had to ask how long it would take i ordered lamb tika masala and it was delicious 😋 the lamb was so tender I really thourghly enjoyed it Feel the service could improve as the long wait between courses and waiters should have picked up on my comment about the muscles and how much I had left on my plate

Bit disappointed . Lovely wee cafe at the Dam . Outside very disappointing, could be prettier, add some imagination. Tubs with flowers. , tidy the weeds, get some better outside seating. Not the best impression. Wouldn't take much work or money. Coffee great , biscoff cake , very dry, very dry. Great wee place, could be soooo much better. Try a wee bit harder

We visited Polly’s pantry for afternoon tea on Mother’s Day. We’d seen them on tv and had been waiting for an occasion to book. It did not disappoint. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious!!!!! Can’t recommend them highly enough and were very particular catering to our food allergies. The cake Bon Bon’s (not sure if this is the correct name) were a firm favourite! Can’t wait to book again soon. Lovely family run business everyone should support locally.

We had the chicken tikka and chicken buna, garlic naan and a pilau rice. Food was full of flavour and great quality. Good value for money, we’ll be back.

Good service, friendly and accommodating. Seemed small at first glance but more tables through the back. Cheesy scrambled egg roll very tasty, mug of tea all for under £5.

Could not find a review for the Hillington branch so I have to leave it here. Visited a few times now since it has opened, never a let down, food alway‘s first class, staff excellent, great choices. Freshness all the way, if you’ve not tried it yet, get yourself to it you won’t be disappointed.

Staying in the neighboring caravan / motorhome site we initially popped in for a drink (sitting outside) and then returned in the evening for a meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the food (lasagne from the main menu + beef burrito from the specials). Staff were very friendly and attentive. Thanks to all.

Friendly staff Food is worth the 5 stars I gave.

Arrived this morning for breakfast with my partner as we were staying in the village overnight.we sat down had a look at the menu and decided what we wanted.then we waited and waited and waited! We then asked a member of staff who was clearing the only dirty table in the place whilst 3 tables were patiently waiting to be served. I must also add there were at least 5 staff standing at the kitchen area at this time. The waitress nodded as if she was coming to take our order but then returned to finish clearing her table. Myself and my partner decided we would go somewhere who actually wanted out business and actually had some decent customer service. Will not be back.

We went for a walk up Tillicoultry Glen and stopped at Penny Licks afterwards. It was a warm sunny day and the ice cream was amazing, so pleased we spotted it on our way home. We were really surprised that it wasn’t busier and suspect maybe a little secret for the Local people. But they came second in the UK ice cream awards 2025 and I can see why, they had lovely flavours and the place was really nice to sit in a rest after a long hot walk.

Excellent presentation and equally matched with good quality food. The haggis Bon Bons were perfectly cooked with a nice crisp side salad & Tasty dip. The rump steak was excellent value for money, tender and tasty. My only tiny gripe was our chocolate fudge cake tasted more like sticky toffee pudding but none the less it was deliciously soft we didn’t complain 😊Friendly, prompt service and all reasonably priced . Will definitely return and would recommend .

Fish wasn't very nice, chips were okay. Battered sausages were absolutely rotten, tasted very grainy. Half pizza crunch tasted very doughy and left a bad taste. Would not eat here again unless they made vast improvements.

Food is delicious, service is friendly. We live 250miles away but will pay a visit everytime I come home to see family.
