We stopped here on the way to the Japanese Garden nearby and were so warmly greeted. The cafe is spotless and bright and the menu is varied. Our coffee and scones were delicious and the staff were a delight. We’d absolutely recommend this gem if you’re ever in the area.

After many years visiting this coffee shop on a regular basis I am bitterly disappointed at the quality of food and attitude of Amy. We ordered breaded haddock as advertised in the menu only to be served with what can only be discribed as disgusting mixed frozen fish. We immediately said to the waitress that it was inedible and ordered a panini instead, which was very nice as always. When we went to pay I was appalled that we were being charged for the disgusting Frozen fish. The waitress called in Amy who I relayed my disappointment at being served frozen fish which is advertised in the menu as "breaded haddock" (one would assume it being fresh), she replied and I quote you directly Amy "we don't advertise it as fresh fish" 🐠😂😂😂. Well Amy let me assure you that we will never be back and have a large family and friend circle who we have introduced to your cafe and I will make sure that they better bring double money just incase they encounter any more frozen products. Upon reflection I should have gone to Iceland! Who actually do ironically sell FRESH FISH. I think that maybe you need a refresher in what the customer goes out to eat for ALWAYS FRESH FOOD.

We visited today as a group and were served by a very friendly waitress right away. The coffee shop was busy when we arrived but were seated without any issues. Upon first impressions the coffee shop was bright, clean and very welcoming. Some of the group opted for the vegetable soup and toastie combos and the others all had the breaded haddock and chips which was very tasty and just what we needed! Will definitely return, food was great and staff very friendly!

Mum and I came for lunch when the Japanese Garden was closed. We had a really lovely lunch - delicious sandwiches (prawn and coronation chicken) and then couldn’t resist the homemade empire biscuits with our cappuccinos. Gorgeous food, friendly service, cakes worth all the calories, and you can take them home too! We’ll definitely come again!

Our small family group visited here for lunch as our usual place was closed... but what a find! We were welcomed to a fairly full room about 1pm by a cheery girl and seated with menus provided. The girl taking the order and serving us was also cheery and attentive. The food (sandwiches or soup n sandwich) were served within a very few minutes. They were freshly made,, tasty and filling. No space left for the intended cake afterwards. The tea was provided in pots giving two cups each. The prices were reasonable. Any downsides? ... that would be "nit picky" but the tables were a bit small. Best estimate of how we rated it? ... We'll be back instead of going to our previous haunt.

We visited this lovely cafe today on our way to the Japanese Garden nearby. There is a car park and on street parking. As well as the indoor cafe there are 2 outside seating areas. The food is lovely & fresh and all home made. We were served by 2 really friendly & helpful members of staff. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. Three of us went for a light lunch. We were immediately shown to a table, given menus, and within about ten minutes had ordered and been served. All the food was excellent, the service good and even the loos - which our guest considered to be superior to the one he had used at the Gleneagles Hotel the previous evening. We bought some cakes for tea as we left, very reasonably priced and to prove delicious when we had them. All very good.

We arrived with no previous booking, but at 10 past 1, they were not busy so we’re seated. No welcome was offered upon entry. We were not offered a seat outside, just plonked at a table inside. Our server acted as if she didn’t want to be there. I ordered a fruit scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam. No fruit scones only plain or cheese. I chose a plain and my husband a cheese one. Minutes later I was informed that they didn’t have strawberry so choose rhubarb jam. Server then came back to inform me that there was no cream either. I then cancelled my scone order and just had a pot of tea. Boy was I glad, because when the cheese scone arrived it wasn’t cooked through. We definitely won’t be back. Just like to point out that you are allowed to smile behind face masks.

Came here for lunch after visiting the nearby Japanese Gardens. So Mona's of Muckhart seems to be part shop selling everything under the sun and part cafe with a mixture of seats, indoor, outdoor, and outdoor on a balcony. It was a beautiful Indian summer, so enjoy the outdoors while it lasts. The cafe has the new normal social distancing, hygiene rules in place and staff wearing face masks. There's plenty of options for drinks and a decent sized food menu, so I went with the soup and baguette option, plus a latte to takeaway later. The soup was pretty good, but I like leek and potato anyway. The cheese and pineapple baguette was tasty too. A simple dish, but done right with fresh soft baguette. The staff here fantastic, warm and welcoming. Mona's of Muckhart is a great stopping point for lunch when exploring this part of Fife.

Picked up a couple of slices of cake and traybakes to take-away. A member of staff promptly appeared when I opened the door, which i felt was good service! And he was friendly and helpful too. Only downside was that you can't pay by card for transactions under £10 and there is no nearby cash point. So if you want to avoid incurring a 50p extra charge to use your card, bring cash with you!Didn't have a chance to look around the gift shop, the café is small but I noticed it had a few outdoor tables for sitting outside in better weather which would be nice! A little dark inside but not unpleasant. As for quality of food: the banana and chocolate cookie was light but dry and flavourless - i get the feeling it might have been sitting in that jar for a good few days. Not the chewy, sweet kind of cookie I had hoped for and the chocolate was pretty much non-existant. The malteaser slice was pretty pleasant, but again falling short of delicious because the chocolate on the top had that almost greasy texture of cooking chocolate, rather than the melty deliciousness of eating chocolate.Chocolate cake - sponge was moist and fluffy! Very nice consistency, and a really good example of nice home-baking. But could do with being a little more "chocolatey". Water choc icing on the top not particularly pleasant, could do with actual choc in there. And choc ganache on the inside layer - tad bland also.Lemon drizzle cake - yummy! Very nice. Again the sponge light and fluffy - well done that baker. But the icing on the top was water lemon icing, to elevate it to super deliciousness butter lemon icing would have been nicer! Enjoyed the lemon curd filling though.Must say the cakes looked very attractive, presentation good! If I was passing through anyway, I would come back to Mona's.

I went here for lunch one day and sat inside. There was also very nice seating outside but it wasn't the weather for it. I was welcomed into the shop by smiling faces, always a good start, and told I could sit where I pleased. I was served fairly quickly and my food arrived in good time. The salad was fresh and dressing nice. The panini was tasty with a indian twist added to the coronation chicken in the shape of sliced banana. The filter coffee in a mug was the best I've had in a long time, considering it was only filter coffee. The shop also has gifts, scarves, handbags and artwork for sale. You can get takeaway foods too such as juice, cake etc. and the rest of their menu can also be served as takeaway. The shop and restaurant were very clean and tidy and the toilets were also in very nice order. The price of things was fair enough I think, considering its isolated location.Mona also does excellent outside catering that I can vouch for.I certainly recommend this cafe as a great place for breakfast, lunch or a coffee/tea at any time. Mona's is a great little cafe and gift shop in the charming little Clackmannanshire village of Yetts of Muckhart and is on one the main road from Fife and Kinross up to the Ochil Hills. My wife and I often drive this road on our way to Dollar, Tillicoultry, Stirling and the Scottish Antique Centre at Burn of Cambus. We just love popping into the very friendly cafe to scoff their home-made food. This is great whether you want a soup and sandwich deal, or just sandwiches, or toasted sandwiches and paninis with side salad, or jacket potatoes. Their delicious scones and cakes are extremely tempting but not for those of dietary persuasion. We recommend giving it a try.

Great little bistro/cafe that does lovely lunches that can be light and tasty or whole and hearty dependent on your appetite. This was our second visit, the last one being over a year ago, and the food is every bit as good as our first visit.

Good food, reasonable service, nice surroundings, just a wee bit too expensive. Good menu choice. Cakes are excellent if a bit expensive.

Visited here today for the first time on recommendation by grandson that they have "the best lasagne ever" That may be a very personal opinion but it looked lovely and he certainly demolished his in good style.I tried nachos with chilli beef and mozarella cheese. This was simply delicious, good quality mince beef, lots of melted mozarella and served with a small dish of salsa (chopped fresh tomatoes, onions, herbs) and small dish of sour cream. The helpings are generous and I failed to finish mine.Other visitors seemed to be enjoying home made soup and rounds of sandwiches which again were substantial and looked fresh and delicious. With tray bakes, scones and a good selection of beverages as well as other hot meals available this is a great place to stop for lunch or coffee/tea and a bite. There is parking at the rear or on street and there are outside eating areas for the better weather. The staff is friendly and efficient and the whole place is scrupulously clean.Mona's is definitely added to my favourite stopping places.

What a great find! Out for a drive one Sunday and in need of a caffeine fix we decided to stop at Mona's and we were so glad that we did. Hot coffee and tasty cakes. I went for a cheese scone which has to be one of my favourites and I was not disappointed. Cheesy, soft and delicious! Service was fast and friendly. There is a lovely little gift shop attached which had some really nice gifts and very reasonably priced gift cards.Definitely worth a visit!

This is a gem of a place. Delicious home baking and light meals served in a bright airy room by friendly staff. It can be difficult to find but it is worth the effort. In the Autumn, the spiced scone and plum jam is worth a detour, but we haven't had a bad cake yet. There is also a wee gift shop at the front with some unusual artwork.

Made very welcome by the staff. Food was smashing. Toilet facilities spotlessly clean. Area outside to eat if you are worried about leaving dog in the car. Will return soon.

This is an absolutely brilliant little cafe on the main st - it's possible to park directly outside or in the car park at the back (there is a wheelchair ramp which you can access from the rear car park or side of the shop)There is a fantastic range of breakfasts and main meals - baked potatoes, paninis and soups as well as more substantial choices like lasagne and steak pie. It is very clean, always warm and everything is well presented. The real strength area (for me at least!) is the standard of the cakes - I can highly recommend the lemon drizzle cake which is my own particular favourite - but all the cakes are SO light, I have never eaten such good cake in any other cafe round about the Kinross area - these cakes are well worth travelling to this cafe for if cake is your thing!Lovely coffee too. It's on the pricey side but well worth it for a treat - no card payments below £10. They sell a small range of foods (eggs, biscuits and sweets) as well as newspapers on weekdays. Also, a small range of clothing and crafts are for sale. There is some outdoor seating too. Friendly service and very highly recommended. They also do outside catering for private functions. I think I am right in saying that they only have one highchair (no toys either) but there is a nappy change facility.

Great platefuls for the value. Very tasty food. Think pub grub + extra effort. Was very busy so need to get a table booked (Friday night).
