Been here a few times for lunch, always had a good meal. The menu for 2 courses at £5.99 is excellent value. worth a visit.

Nice food, lounge is recently decoratied, staff pleasant, but talked too much. After taking our order, the waitress stood and made conversation, for about 10 mins before taking our order to the kitchen we were on a lunch break, didnT have time for chit chat. Food took ages , but was excellent, we had steak pie, good portions, great price Although we enjoyed the food, I doubt we'd be back , reason being, food took long

Took my step mother here Saturday 16 January and both had homemade steak pie with hand cut, home made chips, turnip, carrots and peas. This was absolutely delicious and cost £9 for 2. The standard of the food was excellent and I would definitely go back for lunch between shopping in the town.

Great choice of bar food served with a charming smile in clean, warm. comfortable and welcoming environment. Service was so warm and relaxing i positively enjoyed myself

Went here for lunch with some friends, the food was amazing! We were all impressed with our meals. I had steak pie which was really good, huge portion sizes too! My friend had the lasagne which tasted nice as well. The waitress was lovely and helpful.

We went here for a lunch after getting a recommendation from a friend. We waited for nearly an hour for our starters to arrive and then again for our main meals. Food was disappointing; apparently it was a new chef who had just started. Waitress was very helpful though but obviously embarrassed by the poor service from the kitchen.

Not an extensive menu, but you should find something you like. It a nice comfortable place to visit,and the lunchtime menu is excellent value for money

Went to the Station on Saturday night for my daughter's birthday. Under new management (Stevie Preston) has just started doing food. The new lounge is great the waitress absolutely brilliant. The food is simple but wonderful ( the best chips ever) would highly recommend it, Pleasant surroundings and a great pint.
