Excellent food and service on a recent family dinner. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, promptly shown to our table, drinks order taken and we received some complimentary pompadoms and dips. We ate a mixture of Indian and Italian dishes, every dish was great, big value for money portions as well. The service was attentive and professional and would have no qualms of recommending a visit

A brilliant meal for my wife on her birthday. Tried the Tapas for 2 and we were delighted. The Masala chips are unreal. Fantastic meal and really great value for money. Service and quality of service first class

If you go to Alba, please check your bill thoroughly. Food was ok, just ok nothing special. Service was awful. Staff look like they are totally overrun and can’t cope. The restaurant was very busy we ordered wine that simply never came to the table despite ordering it. My taxi had arrived I asked for the bill, what happened next was unbelievable. 1. The bill arrived and had all my food on it but it had many other meals on it that were not mine. I pointed this out. I requested a new bill. 2. Revised bill arrives they had taken off the extra meals but there were still additional drinks on the bill. I asked for another bill 3. Next bill arrives still charging me for drinks I’d not had this included cocktails and Prosecco. I asked again for a bill 4. Next bill arrives still wrong with cocktails still on it. I’ll admit I started to get a bit anxious at this point as I couldn’t see how anyone could get this so wrong . Asked for a 5th bill 5. This one was correct. If this is a common experience for customers then this is simply not good enough My one tip when in this restaurant is to check your bill very very thoroughly. It looked like it was the manager who was dealing with my bill. I think she needs training on how to set and track bills, also how to resolve issues. Shocking experience and pretty stressful in all honesty. A restaurant in Alloa might get away with this type of service but they simply wouldn’t get away with it in a city. Mistakes happen and we all accept that but there is no way I should have to point out the mistakes so many times.

Had 2 family parties here over the course of 2 weekends in Alba’s function hall and cannot recommend them enough. The staff were attentive, went above and beyond and nothing was too much to ask. The venue is gorgeous and the food from the buffet still has our guests talking, it was amazing. Fabulous food, brilliant staff and an all round first class venue.

the lunch menu is very good value and you get free poppadoms! There’s options for both veggie and vegan and if you ask they’ll make you a pizza without cheese :D The chairs are super comfy and the staff are very friendly :) Shoutout to alba and cheeseless pizza x (Recommendations: the honey chicken and the pizza)

Staff couldn't have been more attentive, friendly and helpful. Catering for a small gathering, the room was suitably reorganised and the food was excellent. All very much appreciated.

Our party booked our Christmas party here, first time doing so. The hotel was nearly full, so we opted for the pods in the grounds. If you are in the pods, there is parking to the rear of the hotel. The pods are really close to the hotel and although they are in the trees, there are tarmac paths between the pods and hotel. There are steps up to the pod level. The pods themselves were large with a double bed, shower and toilet to the rear, a sink and fridge in the middle with a seating area and TV to the front. I'm 6'4" tall and found it easy to live here. There was plenty of head room, the bed was long enough and it had a large shower. It did say there was underfloor heating but we found the radiator was hot enough. In fact, I had to open the door halfway through the night to let some cool air in and this was in December. They are really nice pods, ours only spoiled by stains on the seating and the flooring coming apart. There were no cooking facilities, but it did have a kettle with tea and coffee. There are no cupboards and a lack of hooks to hang up clothing (2 behind the door to the right and a curtain rail without a curtain above the bed but bring your own coat hangers). I would hope the hotel would grit the tarmac in the winter as it was a bit slippy in the wet, especially with kilt shoes on. The hotel itself was beautiful, really nicely set out. There is a great wee seating area opposite the reception with a roaring log fire but this area does get busy. The Christmas party started with canopies and drinks, then we were taken to our tables. We sat 10 at our round table comfortably. The meal was your standard Christmas meal, 3 courses. This tasted good, no complaints. Then the band started, it was an ok band singing all the standard party songs but it was kind of let down when they left for a break and put on some horrible tracks, even a tape of Christmas classics would of been better. No one danced for about half an hour. The price of the drinks in this hotel was surprisingly good value, over half the price of other establishments we have had Christmas parties in (Crieff Hydro, Athol Palace, Pitlochry for example) On our return to the pods at night, apart from the music from the end of the party, it was relatively quiet. Breakfast wasn't included in the price of the party so we opted to buy it at £15 a head. I think as there are no cooking facilities in the pods, maybe breakfast should be included in the price of the party night. The breakfast was self-service with plenty of hot and cold food. We had to ask for baked beans. Can I just end with a massive thank you to all the staff, their hard work throughout the night made it a very pleasing event. They are a credit to the Hotel, can the manager please pass this on to them. Our party of 10 people would certainly book again.
