As it was the last night of our holiday we decided to dine at The Colintraive, and we were happy we did. The staff were cheerful, friendly and polite, and others in the pub were also friendly, providing a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing; well presented and really tasty. We would definitely recommend a visit here. We did book beforehand, as we'd been warned that they can be quite busy at times so it is best to make a booking.

Had a late lunch at the cafe last week prior to a couple of hours in Campbletown and returning for an overnight at The House which is part of the same business. Super nice people made us welcome and the food (lunch and breakfast next morning) was delicious. Very clean cafe and stores and I'll say again the very nicest of staff. Would return and recommend without hesitation. This is how a business should be run and why it apprears to be so successful. An all round good experience.

We were staying just down the road in Tayinloan and saw this place as we passed by. We promised ourselves a visit and we have loved it. Great staff and great food very friendly guests in the restaurant and it’s dog friendly! The view is mesmerising we loved every bit of it! Thank you. We hope to return before we head south again!

The food was absolutely disgusting no taste what so ever and the staff where very rude the man called Bartek shows no care in his food and I felt very ill a short while after consuming the meal. If ever in Campbeltown I advise not to go here as you will be very dissatisfied with there food and the price they charge for it

Nice friendly local pub with lovely owners / staff and views across the golf course. They do not serve food here, only drinks.

Staying in Campbeltown, a local person reccomended the Kintyre at Ugadale, having been to a whisky event early evening and not wishing my partner to have to drive, we initially thought it would not be possible. To then find that the hotel/restaraunt offer a mini bus sevice at our convenience from and back to town it seemed like a good idea. Picked up by a very nice chap in the mini bus, on time, agreed a t time with him for return and arrived for an 8pm booking. Excellent surroundings, decor, staff were cheerful and efficient food was superb wine was very good and not over priced, bill was more than acceptable for two excellent courses and wine. Scallops and potted shrimp starters were beautifully presented and excellent, Carolines fish was both plentiful and perfectly cooked, my fillet steak was as good as I have had anywhere and cooked perfectly. Portions meant the sweet menu was not required. Drink in the bar as we waited for the driver. He had suggested 9:30, we said 10, he was right. However beer was good and the staff delightful. (hope you enjoy the concert Chloie) A good solution if you are looking for an excellent meal in a special sort of place, wouldn't hesitate to go again even if it was just to try the fish and chip and burger options on the very varied menu.

Again, Google fails to cope with hotels that are also restaurants. I’m really not going to worry about my job being taken over by AI just yet. Craigard House is beautifully situated overlooking inner Campbeltown Loch and the bleak ridges of Beinn Ghuilean beyond. My room didn’t have a view out to the sea but the vista from those rooms that do must be fabulous. The rooms are spacious (they kindly upgraded me from a smaller single room to a larger room), and tastefully decorated. The setting was let down a bit by what felt like cheap bedroom furniture. The bathroom felt brand new and really luxurious too. Windows on two aspects made it feel light and airy, too. There is a guest lounge downstairs and plenty of artefacts and interesting prints and paintings, but the highlight is a beautiful Victorian painted window arrangement in the stairwell. The restaurant is small but felt homely and cosy, even with a big group chattering away.
