This is a lovely little coffee shop and gift shop with a nice selection of cakes and morning bacon rolls. The staff were friendly and the sit in area (inside and out) is very nicely presented. The only let down was the coffee unfortunately. Some training required on coffee prep; no taste of coffee and too much milk.

Came here several times during our holiday for the friendly welcome and lovely coffee and cakes. Also does sandwiches for lunch and has a big selection of homeware and other treats. Outdoor seating a great place to spend some time on a sunny day.

The 15s was delicious! and great selection of packages of treats and sweets as well as the fresh baking. Couple of tables inside to beat the typical Kintyre weather and more outside for the hardy

Loved this place for a good browse of beautiful gifts and treats while having a coffee and cake too. There is a vast selection of gifts to peruse and purchase as part of the flower shop. Definitely worth a visit for a present or celebrating a special occasion. The coffee shop is small with limited seats however is quaint with optional outdoor seating. The selection of coffees are made from freshly ground beans and steamed milk. There is a selection of homemade cakes and slices from Argyll bakeries, filled sandwiches and cold drinks too. A must if you are in town!

We wanted just coffee/tea and cakes and walking the street in the middle of the town we spotted seating outside this shop but both tables have been occupied. When we went around again one table was free so we decided to have a quick refreshment. Due to COVID restriction the shop offered take away or have it outside. For 2 coffees with cake we paid £9.40. The shop is offering also various gifts and flowers but while we sit outside having our refreshment we saw that people went in mainly to buy cakes.

I call it Debbie's place - you'll know it when you see it! - said several of the locals on Islay. A large group of us visiting the island had spent the morning dotted across it doing various different activities. I'd asked in the brilliant Islay Natural History Trust where locally we could grab lunch and was directed to the Bruichladdich Mini Market. The place itself is run by Debbie, her mum and her sister. It's the ort of place that is the lifeblood of islands the world over - half grocery shop, half cafe - all welcoming. Debbie's sister was in charge when a group of 15 of us rocked up unannounced. This would normally not have been a problem - plenty of outside seating - but that particular day the ferry had been cancelled, along with much of the stock for the shop and cafe. Undeterred the staff there made us feel welcome and pulled together a lunch which went down very well with all - children and adults alike. Think sandwiches and toasties with great coffee and a good choice of cold drinks. They also serve some amazing cakes - I'm told the rocky road was fab, I know the chocolate cake was! Although initially under pressure when we all turned up, the staff seated us happily and we had all eaten within about 15 minutes of arriving.

Visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The setting on the shore of Loch Fyne overlooking the ruin of Castle Lachlan is stunning and we were able to enjoy a bottle of fizz outside our shepherds huts where we would be spending the night. After a late afternoon stroll to the castle ruins we were ready for our dinner. The tasting menu served in the evening is locally sourced and is probably the best I have ever tasted. We chose the wine pairing which was excellent and presented beautifully. After a great nights sleep breakfast is delivered to your accommodation and this is another delight. Cannot fault this place
