The best restaurants in Down South Eastern NI

Without fail every time we go here the order is wrong and they forget stuff so we have to go back out of way once we are home to come back to the stage we’ve just stopped going back to get it fixed. Not going back anymore which is a shame because the food is actually really nice

I've been trying around ni for a bit now McDonald's in Downpatrick is by far the best one yet and the food is always hot and made fresh it's the number 1 McDonald's in the whole of northern Ireland

Ordered quite a lot including a platter for 4 ,chow mein, shredded beef, sweet&sour king prawns with fried rice to be honest never again I could cook better myself. Cost £68 which if the food was good I didn’t mind paying but myself and my guests were not impressed. So won’t be back.

I was there yesterday never again the food not worth the money I wouldn't give it to the dogs it's too dear and you get the food it's kids pronouns never be back again and it to cold never no heat

I have been going to foo kwai for over 30 years. Still as good as the first time. Curry is really good. Chi su dishes are a favourite. And always friendly staff

A school uniform for my children...just in time.. and some treats for the dog from next door.. at K9Bonus...I love Ballynahinch...country...good value and a bit quaint!

Our service from Amy was fantastic she was very helpful, patient, friendly and polite.nothing was too much trouble. Food was also very good.

The food at The Emperor Chinese Restaurant in Downpatrick was extremely disappointing and nowhere close to authentic Chinese cuisine. The chicken balls, chicken strips, beef curry, and Singapore chow mein lacked flavor and tasted bland. It seemed like they hired a Chinese person to create the impression of authenticity, but the food fell far short of expectations. I paid £65 for the meal, and it was not worth it at all.

I have been in search for the perfect chip and I have finally found it, unfortunately the search for the perfect chip comes with a significant price, I thought I would have to remortgage my house for a large bag of chips which would only just feed a child, i was fearful to ask about the small bag of chips as i thought the small bag would consists of two chips wrapped in a bag. The portion sizes for chips are mortifying especially for the extortionate £3.60 per bag, a large curry sauce is just as much as a very small large bag of chips. There’s something not right here, they’ve got decent food however the portion size does not have any reflection whatsoever on the price, I’d say you’re better off travelling to Raithfriland Cod on the corner for a larger portion. It’s such a shame that the portions are so anorexic as the quality of the food is good.

Friendly helpful staff in a great chicken outlet.

Visited here on the 21st December around 4pm along with our New born baby. I have to say the staff went above and beyond to help, bringing our order to the table and asking do we need any water or anything for the baby. I did phone today and speak to the manager to commend the male member of staff. We often take things like this for granted as parents, it wasn’t until we where in another coffee shop (Not Costa) today who where the exact opposite, which made us realise how great the Staff at Costa Coffee Downpatrick where. A big thank and Merry Christmas.

Me and my son called in for a takeaway, and we both agree it was a good choice. We had chicken bhuna, pilau rice, and a side of onion bhaji, popadoms with some dips. Decent portions, sauce was very nice, honestly can't fault it. Would recommend
