Great see chippy my daughter and liked it some much we went twice in one day lol definitely worth a visit the next time you go to Newcastle.

Thought we would try some fish and chips after climbing. Tried this one as near the bus stop. Staff were unfriendly to say the least and the food was a big disappointment. On reflection should have gone to the one in town which we passed, i think the queue spoke for itself.

Waited over half an hour for food that tasted like nothing. Cost over £20 for a burger chips and fish really disappointed

Doesn't look much from the outside but the food was great and the staff very friendly. Piping hot tasty and generous portions.

Ordered a fish and chips and a glass of tap water. Guy tried to charge me £1.60 for the tap water. Needless to say, he lost the order.

I can’t think of a better place to go for a meal in Newcastle or for that matter anywhere in Co Down. The staff are friendly and obliging, and you won’t get better portions anywhere. Greatest fish and chips I have ever had

A proper traditional chippy. The fish and chips are fantastic and very generous portions. We have tried quite a few things on the menu and have never been disappointed. Great food and very nice people. Probably the best fish and chips we have had in a long time. We look forward to going whenever we are in Newcastle.

My Partner stopped into Kellys Top Of the Town in Newcastle last night. All she wanted wanted was a Childs sausage meal as due to ill health she cannot only manage small portions. When she ordered it the man behind the counter asked was it for herself, to which she replied yes. He told her he counldnt sell her a childs meal as she was an adult but he could give her the same size portion but would would have to charge her more. He charged her an extra £1,20 for the same meal. Doc or John macs have never had selling a childs portion to an adult. I would not recommend this place to anyone As a local we will not be back in this place.

Was here with a cycling friend this week... brilliant food, fantastic service and great value for money. The owner tells terrible jokes though but has promised to update them in the future. Will be back without doubt!!!

I had the pepper chip supper, the portion was generous and the food was delicous. Complementary biscuits with my cup of tea were also a nice surprise.

7 of us tried to get a KFC and thankfully they were closed for seating. We kept going to find somewhere and came across here. It was one of the nicest places I have been in years. No complaints from anyone and the portions were very big. Spotless inside and will be back again.

Attended here tonight with friends from the go get the staff was rude, the staff rudely stirred and passed dirty looks. Food was awful! Chips had been cooked and over cooked! Childrens chicken nuggets were very poor! 2 burgers were like rubber, fish had an awful taste off. Food was also very over priced. If I could give this place a rating it would be no stars. Will not be attending again, avoid!!

Good value and fast food! We got the butcher's burger which was very meaty and the Irish stew. The old man working at the shop is also friendly. Would recommend.

Arrived here about 7 o’clock for takeout we ordered fish bits and chicken bits, could not have been any fresher , we stood and watched them make the fish bits from start to finish, absolutely delicious

As a family of 4 with 2 fussy kids it is difficult to find a chippy that everyone loves. Thank goodness we have discovered this one. It is by far the best chippy in Newcastle if not Northern Ireland. It is immaculately clean. Easy to see why it was awarded its 5 star in hygiene rating. The staff are all lovely. The food is amazing. We have all tried everything from fish to chicken. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very generous. I can not recommend this place enough.

top off the town was bad this one is worse the food is bad the 5 stars it has someone back handed money to get it i would tell people keep away shop food better and the service with a smile u will not get

I ordered 3 pieces of chicken and chips as I have ordered it before and fancied having it again but when I opened the box I thought it was a early April fools trick as there was hardly any chips in the box, the process of ordering the food took a while and it seemed to be a contractor a electrician I think that took the order which I found a bit bizarre.
