The best restaurants in North Eastern NI

We dropped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning just as the cafe opened. Lovely service staff who told us that the scones would be ready in a few minutes. Breakfast was nice and the scones delicious, huge and fresh from the oven. We raved about them to the staff. Just before we left one of the young service staff came over with a box that had two scones in it. She told us they were from the day before and if we’d like to have them for free. They were still very good but since they were baked the day before, they wouldn’t sell them since they only served freshly baked scones. We were so touched by this lovely gesture and enjoyed them in the evening in our hotel room (and they were delicious even then).

I love a good farm shop and this is a good farm shop! It has great produce from their own farm and other bits and pieces from across the island. There is so much more to it than a farm shop with tours, supper clubs etc, check out the website. We did buy some produce, burgers, sausages and goat chops which I am very much looking forward to cooking and eating. Well worth the trip!

Beautiful food as always and service was spot on staff were friendly as always definitely be back again that's for sure.

Called for early breakfast on a snowy day..friendly welcome and excellent service. Fry excellent ,get toast and pancake stack 😋 exceptional. Premises and toilets 🚻 scrupiously clean. Will return again when in area.

Se presentó para una reserva a las 8 pm el lunes 6 de enero y el restaurante estaba en penumbra solo para que un miembro del personal le dijera que debido a un sistema de extracción defectuoso se cerrarían y no podíamos tener nuestra reserva. Pregunté por qué no nos llamaron para notificarnos la cancelación, pero él no pudo responder eso. Luego le pedí recomendaciones que estaban abiertas, me recomendó la cocina en Huntly street y así que le pregunté si podía llamarlos rápidamente para ver si podíamos conseguir una mesa, me dijo que no ya que se iba a casa y no tenía tiempo, entonces le dije que no era útil y que buscara una revisión que reflejara su mala actitud, en este punto comenzó a discutir lo que se sentía cómodo haciendo y obviamente tenía tiempo entre manos para discutir pero no para hacer una llamada rápida a la cocina a la orilla del río. Actitud totalmente espantosa. Sin embargo, caminamos en una fría noche nevada hasta la cocina y nos cuidaron muy bien de hecho 5 estrellas para la cocina en Huntly street 👍

Went here today for a family occasion. There were 8 of us and everything was absolutely perfect …. No hiccups whatsoever. Food was lovely well presented and warm ……these guys could show other establishments how it’s meant to be done . Everyone had dessert and again absolutely delicious. …. Would definitely e back . As for pricing it was fair enough as we had a 10%off voucher which made it even better. Highly recommend a visit

Haven't used this bakery in years. The last time I did I received a blue moulded apple square. Bought a soda this morning. Felt like a brick when handed to me. Could barely cut through it when I got it home. Completely stale. I bought this item early in the morning. Definitely not made that day and I doubt if it was even yesterday's. Sometimes you can appreciate why the high street is dieing when this is the quality of goods being served up 😬

Regular weekly customer here for almost a whole year and while the food is usually top notch, I've not been back since the menu was limited to only large loaded fries unfortunately (bit disappointed to he honest, couldn't eat a large one after a recent illness). The staff that work here are always very pleasant and I'd recommend it for those that still have a large appetite.

Superb food, great atmosphere and everyone was very welcoming. I love old architecture and wanted a look around, and it was quiet so the staff guided us and allowed us to check it out- some very beautiful features so you can tell that it’s established, looked after and loved by customers and owners as well as staff. We witnessed great communication between the staff, as well as very quick service and great suggestions for our meals. The food came out piping hot, and very quickly. It was delicious! The portion size was great. More than great, actually- exceptional value for money. We will most certainly be back- we want to check out the beer garden at the rear!

Award-winning ice cream in a diverse range of innovative flavours, including rum & raisin and their signature “Poor Bear” (vanilla ice cream with delicious honeycomb nuggets). Service is friendly and efficient.

Large hot choc was average in size. Brownie was small and thin. I bought for ravenous husband. Good size for a child. Tasted good. Was told the brownies are home made hence the thin squashed look. Im very familiar with home made brownies. They dont look like these. Anyway, nice that they were open as we were desperate and husband felt better after eating.

Stopped here on the way back from The Giants Causeway. Food was delicious and very filling - just what we needed after a blustery walk along the coast and cliffs! Burgers were next level and the pork ciabatta was fab! We loved the quirky bus conversion diner. Definitely recommend!

Agradable con un montón de "fish and chips" del menú. La pizza siempre es buena y no son tímidos con las coberturas! Normalmente ir un viernes por la noche y siempre es agradable.

My son & I stopped in for breakfast and were instantly impressed by the customer service. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating and both are beautiful in their own way. I ordered TFD Benedict and it was remarkably delicious. Not your typical Bennie! I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

As always the food was amazing and the staff were outstanding lovely atmosphere and just beautiful as always
