The food and service here have always been delicious and it's a great atmosphere. Unfortunately on Sunday past my friend and I had to turn around and leave because the parking at it is impossible. Some eejit was taking up two spaces and he made no effort when he saw us struggling. We were so hungry and disappointed but I can't understand how bigger cars are supposed to comfortably park. My friend has a walking issue so we had to turn around and go somewhere else.
There aren't many small town pubs left, but Drumbo Pub fits the description to a tee. Always a great friendly atmosphere, hard working staff and great food. The fresh hand cut fries and homemade burgers are not to be missed. Prices are the best around by far, the value is amazing!

Went here tonight with friends. Food was meh but my female friend had the Philly Cheesesteak and the beef, oh god the beef! Ya call that beef?!?! She barely ate it. My third female friend got a main that had WAY too much mashed potato. Also my other female friend only got the chocolate cake and we got our food then we were waiting and waiting and I asked a waitress āWhy isnāt {my other female friendās name}ās chocolate cake here yet?ā and the waitress said āItās a dessert so itās later.ā The ATTITUDE was disgraceful and the fact that my other female friend was hungry until it arrived and I had eaten half of my chicken strips was upsetting! Iām a fast eater though. Promised chicken nuggets got chicken strips. The bathrooms had obviously hadnāt been cleaned. Stinky loo. After this experience we probably wonāt be back.

Best Guiness i drunk in northern irland and probably the best ever. A local band was playing, adding a plus to the atmospher.
Not so crowdy that night. Will cross the town to come back again, during my next visit in Belfast.
Came back in septembre 2024. Quiet in the middle of the afternoon, but still the best guiness.
An oasis of old world charm in unassuming Ballinamore outside Ballymoney. This rambling cottage is totally charming and huge. There were 10 of us, but it could easily have held 20. Brilliant drawing rooms to sit in (complete with grand piano for a sing along), a fantastic well equipped kitchen ( it used to have a restaurant) and plenty of loos (even if we couldn't find the lights for the one near the kitchen until the eve of our departure.)
The wall panels in the front hall tell the fascinating history of the place. The garden is really a series of glades intersperced with thickets leading down to the old mill. What a marvel it would be for children in summertime! Heating seemed good though to be fair it wasn't that cold for early October outside. Our bathroom was good with a power shower which I imagine worked well if you were more familiar with power shower controls, which I wasn't. It was fun trying to work it out anyway. This place is well worth the money if you have a large group.
