Umi Falafel in Belfast

Really great lentil soup here, full of flavor and very comforting! The falafel tastes great and is perfectly seasoned. I wish they added more cucumber pickles and had turnip pickles as well. You should definitely try the falafel wrap with black tea and mint – it’s so good! The lentil soup and falafel wrap are both vegan, along with other options they offer. Everything is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly. A great spot for anyone craving a tasty, vegan-friendly meal.

Not a bad place. I got the Palestinian falafel wrap with fries for takeaway. The falafel itself was amazing, packed with flavour and not dry. Unfortunately, the watery sauce made the wrap soggy, and it quickly melted while I was trying to eat it; not ideal for a takeaway. The fries were soggy too. I would probably go back to try some of the other menu items

We went into umi falafel and ended up getting a takeaway as we were super excited to try their food but weren't that hungry yet. The venue is pretty casual and more like a fast food/dinner experience rather than a restaurant. All the food was exceptional and vegan options are very clearly labelled on the menu. The baba ganoush was a highlight for me, absolutely heavenly! Portion sizes were also decent for the prices. Would definitely recommend. No specific kids things on the menu by my girls loved their falafel wrap with hummus, cucumber and tomato.

Umi Falafel, on Botanic Avenue, is super. I spent £6.50 on a falafel. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were pleasant. I ordered at the till and received prompt table service. The tables were clean and the toilet facilities adequate. When I have visited there have been seats available.

Always pretty quiet when I go but the teams are very quick and helpful. The food is fresh but doesn't always have deep flavours and spice. Portions are good so overall a good option for lunch.

Umi Falafel make great falafels, which they serve in wraps, pita bread type pockets and sandwiches. My favourite is the palestinian falafel in a pocket. You can sit in or take away. I go regularly and food has always been delicious. Umi Falafel may be worth considering for vegetarians and vegan because falafel are plant based. Umi Falafel is popular and can get a little bit busy at peak times, but I have always had excellent service from the friendly staff.

Nice Palestinian falafel. Quite big. The halloumi wrap is good too. The Irish juices are really tasty. The hummus could come with some olive oil on top or in a bowl instead of a takeaway plastic container, but I guess it's good if you intend to take the rest home. Service is good

Tasty falafel (Tamiah)! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo, and the plate was empty in minutes. The prices are still bit high for falafel, but hopefully, we'll see lower prices at falafel restaurants in the future. Totally recommend

I really love the food from here. It's priced about right, doesn't take too long, and the atmosphere is decent. However, I really really wish this place would get wifi so I could actually do more than just eat my lunch there.

It's 1:30 p.m. on a Monday in August. I wanted to eat light and cheap. There are no surprises because the menu with the prices is clearly visible on the front of the restaurant. I had some difficulty choosing because I'm not used to Lebanese restaurants. As my Japanese friend would have said, a picture of the dish would be welcome. I ordered at the counter I was given a number and went to sit, a pleasant waitress came to bring my order 3 minutes later... I am comfortably seated. The restaurant is almost full but not really noisy there is Sting's song in the background "Every breath you take". I chose "the Palestinian falafel" It's delicious ! it's a pita bread in which we find falafel, hummus, sliced ​​tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, grilled eggplant, a light touch of chili and a delicious tahini. The whole is of 1st freshness, unctuous and thirst-quenching at the same time. And it's big enough to make a full meal for just 6.50 pounds, it's fabulous, I've found my favorite everyday restaurant😋💯👍 Friends come and try!

I've been going back and forth every friday to this restaurant to get the meal deal of the Grilled Halloumi Sandwich with Potato Wedges and Mayo Dip. Good value and portion. Very tasty, especially if you are a cheese/halloumi lover like me.

I could happily live on the food they serve here. It's nutritious, tasty and well priced. When in this part of town it's one place where I know I can get consistent quality and a healthy light lunch.

The cuisine is of very high quality, especially for the price. They have both vegetarian and vegan alternatives on their menu. The food was provided in just a couple of minutes, and I had a good experience both eating in and ordering takeaway. The staff members are friendly. Everything we ate was made right in front of us and was quite tasty. The batata hara are wonderful, they have a lovely spicy flavor. All things considered, this is a great option for a fast bite at any time of day. I heartily urge everyone who appreciates delicious meals to try it.

The falafel and flat breads are fresh and tasty. It is basic in terms of decor and don't expect plates or cutlery if you sit in (seems to be a growing trend). I like it for a quick and filling bite which is different to the usual burgers and pre-made stuff you get elsewhere. Not wheelchair friendly as there is a step up to the door.

We came here on Eid day with my 14 family members to get falafel, we ordered 21 falafel sandwiches and paid £138 in total so we would expect a nice treatment from them, the manager was the most disrespectful manger i have ever seen, met us with a disgusted face and kept giving us attitude because we were doing a big order, we asked to remove some of the things that we dislike in the sandwich and he wanted to charge us extra even though we’re saving him more food. I told him he should respect customers and treat them nicely otherwise he loses customers but he said “you’re talking too much and i am busy”. My mum asked him to give her 1 piece of falafel to try but he said she has to pay for it even though we have paid £138! Very stingy of him. I would recommend to save your money and don’t come to a place where you will get treated rudely with disrespect. We didn’t even sit in the restaurant because we didn’t want to be loud or or anything but still got treated badly

Umi Falafel is a Lebanese chain restaurant with locations across Ireland. Here in Belfast the location is perfect being right beside Queens at the top of Botanic Avenue. The interior is open and airy, the process to order is simple and it is as easy to sit in as it is to takeaway. On the menu there are lots of plant-based options but I had the classic combination of the Palestinian Falafel and the Batata Hara. The Falafel itself is very tasty and they are all made fresh behind the counter. The salad is always fresh and genuinely adds a lot of flavour. The batata hara are amazing, they are spiced perfectly and have a lovely zesty flavour too. Overall this is an amazing shout for a quick bite to eat at any time of day but it has an especially good meal deal which is served to 6pm. I would advise anyone who enjoys food to try it out 😁

I've gotten this food several times. I LOVE the Fatoush salad with mint, the baba ganoush, the haloumi cheese - everything - so fresh and delicious.

Came here because we stayed in airbnb nearby and it was definitely worth it. I found out that I don't need meat to have delicious dinner and these guys can make really good alternatives without meat. It was my first try with lebanese cuisine and definitely not the last one. We got Palestinian and Lebanese sandvich.

Best Lebanese food in town. Visit and give a try to cheese filled falafels. As have been in Lebanon and tasted local cuisine this is one of the best I’ve had.

Tasty food and a great place to go before the QFT cinema

It seems to me like a pure vegan menu. Price reasonable, quantity good,not that you pay riches for a byte. I visited in late october , personally had a lentil soup which was creamy, and sumptous. Had also crispy spinach rolls and sweet potato fries. Was non spicy, mild, i appreciated that. There are more spicy options as well. People mostly came for takeaways, but i enjoyed sitting, the atmosphere was nice. No salt ,pepper, sauces or napkins on tables. Simple but very nice and good looking. Service correct. Would love to come back again.

Everything we had was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared in front of us. The setting was very clean, tables, seating, floor and any food prep areas that we could see. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, as it was our first visit we needed some help figuring out what we would like to eat and the staff were very patient with us. I will absolutely be back sometime soon. We ordered; -Palestinian falafel X2 -Sweet potato fries -Batata hara -Breded halloumi sticks -Dips - tahini, mango sauce, chili

Gets better every time. Fresh, tasty, delicious food that doesn't cost the earth. Lots to choose from (except meat), and everything is so delicious. A huge favourite amongst takeaways, in our house. The breaded halloumi sandwich was the favourite dish from this order, but nothing ever disappoints. The biggest problem is stopping myself from over-ordering. That said, the leftovers always taste great the next day.
