Went there tonight, ordered a drink and 2 seconds later the rudest man /bar manager came over to ask if one of my sons had ID. He was 20 the other was 18 not asked! Asked then to leave in the rudest way!!! I’ve worked in hospitality for a long time! My worst experience of Derry, has definitely put me off coming back!!!!!

Wonderful bar , really great staff , very friendly bar , excellent selection of drinks plus its almost like a museum inside lots of interesting items hanging around . I always pay a visit for a Guinness when in the city.

Always good pub to drink in live music and stays open late.

Ignorant young bar man.. went into pub on sunday, very few inside, said hello to the barman, was standing infront of him..he didn't look at me or say hello back.. walked out.. couldn't be dealing with such ignorance.. extremely poor attitude.. would want to learn his trade alot better..

The best pub we've been in! And we've been in a lot! The atmosphere, the music, the shared fun and kindness is second to none! They also have Erdinger my fave Beer! Great hard working staff thanks

Friendly staff, great Guinness and loved the features in the bar, would certainly recommend and will definitely be visiting again for the Guinness next time I’m in the city.

It was epic. I loved my visit here. It was packed everytime. There was live music. The atmosphere was great.

Female boucher seemed to be arguing with anyone walking past and telling anyone trying to enter the bar was closed when the bar seemed half empty. If this business has ever struggled to make a profit I can see why and would look to re-hire!!

They don't do food to the best of my knowledge but Peadar's is probably the most famous bar in Derry. Old school Irish, there is usually live music every evening. I have friends from abroad and they themselves say it's awesome. Love this place.

Great atmosphere and the musicians are cracks.

This place is mental packed. Really difficult to get service as people sit at the bar and you can’t get seen unless you’re waving a flag or 6ft tall. Great atmosphere but not for me if you’re fighting 20 mins to get a drink.

A disapointing experience. It appears as a jazz club with live music. Some rock and blues bands. We found electronical eardrum - hammering electronic sounds form the 90s, there were about 6 people dancing. The terrace was nice at least and the bar staff were friendly. Check what they offer before you plan to go.

Great place to hear live music. Can get extremely busy though. Inside the bar the decor looks very interesting but I couldn't get to see any of it as it was just too packed.

On holiday to Derry city, we decided to call in for a drink durung the day, only to be greeted with a rude and unpleasant staff member. She told us my kids (young adults) were not allowed, even though there was another child, (much younger) already in the pub drinking with his parents. Upon highlighting this with her, and the fact there was no signage to say that kids are not allowed, she proceeded to say that we could stay for one drink but then we had to go. This has never ever happened to us before and unfortunately we wont be back.

Was on hoilday seeing family and friends , we went there for a night out it was great ! Loved it ! The staff work so hard but have time for a chat , the entertainment is fantastic! Here's to our next visit next year

Since a pub visit with live music was still on the agenda, we chose Peadar O'Donnell's because it had very good reviews. There were almost only locals in the pub, where a live band performed from around 10:30 a.m. The mood was quite good. I can recommend the pub 😊

Serendipity ..booked a house in Derry for week and found we were around the corner from this pub. Monday evening and a wonderful free session of traditional Irish music. The local people were lovely and friendly. A great experience.

As a visitor from Scotland, I try and find the most 'local' bars when I'm away - found Peadars and wasn't disappointed. Very tasty Guinness - good crack with the locals!

Great music and atmosphere. Had a good mix of tourists and locals. Great night. Venue was quite snug for the large crowd so we went next door to buy our drinks. The pubs are under the same ownership so it wasn't an issue at all. Just around the corner from the mural walk aswell. Will be back!

Great place to go for adrink and the traditional Irish musicians were fantastic. Worth a visit
