This is by far the best food you will ever taste and , bringing a wee dog is a treat they get sausage and wee drink of water , the staff are so nice friendly it’s a lovley experience we love to travel down the coast to this restaurant, so thank you from us and Alfie ❤️ will be back for sure

Amazing service and friendly atmosphere, leigh and all the staff welcomed us well and leigh took our order. The food was amazing, I had the sea food linguine, nicest one yet and presented very well, while the other two of my party had the turkey and the pork, I cannot wait to come back for another visit. Yet another superb lunch at New Quays with such friendly and helpful staff. I had the Turkey dinner and husband had the hake in mornay sauce. The food as always was delicious and such a selection to choose from the menus. Definitely worth a drive to visit this restaurant. When was asked where I would like to go for lunch on Good Friday it didn’t take long to decide on New Quays.

Amazing food and service. The vegetable curry was delicious and the cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have ever had hands down! It’s so nice I can bring my dog and they even gave him a little dish of sausages and fresh water ❤️ Michelle was really friendly and super helpful. Overall amazing food and a lovely place, we will definitely be back

We booked a table for lunch in Besties so we could take along our furry friend. It's a lovely relaxed part of the restaurant and the staff were very friendly with brilliant service. The lunch menu has a great choice and is brilliant value. I went for the scampi which was huge and the best I've honestly ever had. The other half went for the chicken strips with pepper sauce and chips which he loved. We couldnt resist a portion of onion rings in a light a crispy batter, delicious! Overall a great place in a beautiful location. Definitely worth a visit!

Been to the Quays many times over the years and was looking forward to this. Same place, same decor, nice wood burning stove, it felt very welcoming. Sadly that was about all i say was good. The food, drink and service was all vey poor. Greasy burger, cold and rather stinger portion of chips, very poor pint of Guinness and staff that literally threw the food at the table. Trying to clear the table while we were still eating and ignored our request for drinks. Such a shame, i won't be rushing back. Definitely not worth the drive down the peninsula for this.

Absolutely gorgeous meals so fresh and delicious, beautiful setting looking over the sea and so comfortable inside, staff are excellent couldn't do enough for you will definitely be back couldn't fault it at all

Great choice of food. Many seafood items to choose from on the menu. Being in a little fishing town, you know you're getting fresh seafood.

The food and service at the New Quays is exceptional. Totally recommend the seafood chowder and pan seared sea bass. The staff are super friendly and always make you feel very welcome. Also dog friendly and always ready to make a fuss of your furry friend (with a complimentary sausage thrown in). Absolutely recommended.

Dined with family and the food and service were fantastic as always. We had four very different mains and each of them was prepared to perfection. The Quays is an absolute gem and their passion for cooking and serving great food can be seen on every plate. Fish dishes are their specialty but you won't be disappointed no matter what you choose. The restaurant has a relaxed casual atmosphere with a good drinks selection also. Mid priced and excellent vfm. Well worth the drive!

I haven't been to this spot in a long time and it looked amazing on arrival. The staff were wonderful, super friendly and chatty. The menu was fantastic and the food quality was outstanding. It'll be a regular place we'll eat now every visit home.

Three of us had a family lunch here on New Year's Day 2023. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and great decor along with super-friendly and helpful staff. We ordered a seafood sharing platter (2 portions of seafood chowder, smoked salmon, lightly battered fish, fishcake, prawns on wheaten along with salad, egg, garlic bread, tartare sauce and chilli dip), samosas (beef and chicken with a chilli mayo dip and salad) and a portion of chips. The food was absolutely amazing - we were blown away by the quality, taste, presentation, portion size and the price. Without doubt, this was amongst the best lunches we've ever had, not one thing was left on our plates when we finished. I cannot wait to return on my next visit to the area - it's a real gem. The chefs certainly produce stunning food and flavours. Very highly recommended.

A quiet Thursday in December for lunch. The staff were pleasant, the scampi was good, but the rest was ok.

Always a reasonably priced delicious meal in a nice setting down beside the harbour.

I visited the New Quays with my husband and friends last night - the food was fabulous! I was delighted to see the seafood crepe on the menu and it was simply devine! We had a varied selection of starters and mains - including the squid, samosas, battered fish and salmon - large portions; beautifully cooked - first class quality & service. We are sooo lucky to have a restaurant of this calibre on our doorstep - highly recommended!

It looked like a storm was coming as we were looking for somewhere to stop for food. We stumbled across the New Quays as we rounded the corner. It looked busy, always a good sign. We were welcomed inside by a friendly waitress who gave us a choice where to sit. We chose a window seat looking out to sea. We both chose locally freshly caught fish and chips and standards size. The fish was large and hanging off the plate. It would have been interesting to see how big the large would have been! It was well cooked and presented, and the crispy batter was amazing. It certainly filled us up. There was a good choice of beers, etc, and plenty of free car parking. We managed to miss the storm while eating great food, result.

Best restaurant for fresh seafood. The chowder was full of fresh fish and really creamy. Served with a wheaten scone. I had the scallops and prawns to follow. Equally delicious. My son had the best scampi ever.

It's been a long time since I've been here. I wasn't disappointed food was lovely. Highly recommended worth the trip.

This food was to die for. I shared a prawn and scallop starter as wasn't ravenous and it was devine. My main was seared salmon and prawn tagliatelle and it didn't disappoint, the sauce was amazing as was the caramel apple pie and ice cream. My first time there and won't be my last. Such a shame I live in England now otherwise I would always be there but will visit again next time I'm home visiting my sister and her family

First impressions of the place was nice! Servise was good from the start but got very very slow after the starter! That slow in fact, that we had time to realise our bite out to eat was turning into a fortune for OK food. So we had plenty of time to leave the desert menu on the table and go pay. The prices did not reflect in the portion sizes! For example I got the Jumbo fish which said "if you Dare" and it was the same size as my partners at half the price!? So the bill came to £74 which normally I'm happy to pay but I left feeling sort changed, if I was asked what I would be happy in paying, I feel £55 would be where its at so very over priced! Wish we had of known about the fish and chip shop around the corner before we went in! Would have been cheaper for two adults and one kids fish and three drinks! (two starters also)

Waiting staff were engaging, food was hot and plentiful, the menu had a choice for everyone. It was clean and uncluttered. Would I go back, a definite yes.

This restaurant when I visited approximately 1 year and half ago has changed! The food on our family visit was nice but the portion sizes were very small. The service for taking orders, also very slow with no one around to even ask about ordering! The two kids meals we ordered had a piece of fish half the size of the palm of your hand. Could see my kids were disappointed with it, and they ended up eating mine and my parents meals. The adults meals were also smaller in portions, from previous visits. Small dipping bowl as a portion of chips. Not at all worth the money for the prices on the menu. Would be best going to a local chippy. This is a lovely place to visit when we are that direction but seriously, they need to make the meals worth the money. Think about repeat customers, one bad experience can make people think twice.

Visited with family for Lunch on a Friday based on word of mouth recommendation. Good facility for disabled parking as one of our party has mobility issues. On this occasion we did not have a reservation and thankfully managed to get a table - would advise to book as a very popular -you don't want to be disappointed. Courteous and amenable staff in a relaxed ambience. Extensive selection of seafood meals, beautifully presented and at reasonable price. Good selection of accompanying wines. Very enjoyable and relaxing experience that truly complimented the beauty of the Ards Peninsula. Would visit again without hesitationi

Really good sea food, but great meat options too. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Nice view over the Irish Sea and comfortable well spaced seating, plenty of parking. Never disappoints, well worth the drive, can't recommend the place highly enough.

Visited with friends and family and it was great. The range of fresh sea food on the menu is immense. Cooked impeccably, well presented and the service is good. The restaurant was very busy, so therefore there was lots of buzz around the place. I would highly recommend The Quays. There was also a Sunday Roast available that was seemingly very popular.

Wonderful seafood selection but I recommend the daily specials are posted on the Facebook page, really easy to do and would certainly increase footfall. Besties is good for breakfast with great tasting coffee.

Food was excellent, had the langoustine and it’s was so tender. Mum had the crab claws with prawn equally as good!! Will be back to try a different dish!!! Staff were so lovely!!

We had the sharing sea Food platter. Absolutely lovely. The prawns were like clouds. The smoked salmon so delicately smoked. The mussels wonderful. As were the thai fish cakes and fish goujons. Brilliant value. Just wish we had some where as good as this at home.

Very busy place better booking service good but a bit slow when busy

An amazing experience with excellent staff, exemplary food in a perfect setting.

Recommended by friends and delighted we went yesterday. Had the most gorgeous lunch of seabass prawns veg & baby boiled potatoes. Can't wait to go back and pick another dish from their amazing menu.

Had the most fabulous lunch of prawn cocktail. The salad with it was AMAZING and the prawn cocktail was absolutely delicious, but the staff are what makes it, so friendly and helpful. And thats without even mentioning the views. Wonderful .. Can't recommend this place...

Nice restaurant with good atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was disappointingly bland though. There is also a bar but we weren't in it so can't really comment. Plenty of outside dpace and dogs welcome outside. Great views. I'd heard plenty of good reviews about this place but I just found the actual restaurant very average.

Good in parts some of the food was carelessly presented not cheap either Busy but has reduced opening times due to staff issues. We would return but would make wiser menu choices. Prawns excellent

Seafood, SEEfood! I was down today with a blind 81yr old gentleman who I care for who follows a vegan diet with the exception of seafood. It's so hard to find good seafood restaurants! The gentleman is blind therefore he can't judge anything by what he sees which heightens his other senses eg smell, taste, so food is one of his big enjoyments in life and today didn't disappoint! We had the seabass, prawns, smoked cod, crab claws and chicken liver pate. The seabass was the best I have seen in a restaurant, big portion! The crab claws were delicious! He thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, the food, pleasant atmosphere the warmth and friendliness of the staff he even liked the touch of the slate place mat. He says he wants to make it a monthly visit so see you again soon! 😃

Very difficult to beat the New Quays for quality and choice of fresh produce. There is always a very warm welcome from the attentive staff.

Well when your restaurant sits at a fishing harbour you expect fresh delicious fish dishes. Well this did not disappoint. I had sea bream and prawns which were simply magnificent and my partner had cod mornay which I tried absolutely brilliant

Great food was really tasty i loved the fish cakes wife loved the scalops & prawns. & mother inlaw loved the fish & chips. Staff were lovely very friendly and great service from them. Defo going back soon.
