One of my many times at Friar Tucks, Newry. Seeing as I was in the mood for a takeaway I figured Friar Tucks would do nicely. There were some tables around if you wanted to sit in. Whilst walking up to the counter to make my order I couldn't help but notice that the floor was quite dirty and sticky. That generally seems to be the case in most takeaways. Anyways, I ordered my food and sat down while I waited. The food took a long time to be prepared which was a bummer as I was famished. In the end it came. Once arriving home I tucked in to one of the nicest Friar Tucks I'd had in a long time. Chips were well cooked and delicious. Burger was fantastic too. Decent place to go for a takeaway.
Romeo’s never disappoints me with the food quality. Andrea at front she is very helpful and very friendly person. I had mixed feelings king kebab which was huge and tasty. I will definitely be back
Dinner tonight with my husband & daughter was atrocious. Not feeling very hungry, I decided on ordering the prawn cocktail starter as my main. I asked for a few pieces of wheaten bread too. At first I was skeptical about paying £14 for a starter, But decided it must be really worth it.
I was so disappointed when it arrived. £14 for a bowl stacked high with shredded lettuce, no more than 8 tiny prawns, Marie Rose sauce ruined with hot paprika. Wheaten bread arrived with a swirl of melting butter on top which I had to return as I don’t eat butter 🤢 7 minutes later a fresh slice came without the butter, the server made a point of stating “it’s got buttermilk in it” (that was confusing!)
We arrived at 6.05pm and we were only being served our food at 7pm. One server for dinner time customers is definitely not enough. My husband had to go to the bar twice to get a drink…
The bill arrived.. £4.20 for a glass of 7Up which was flat & had too much ice in it. £1.50 for 1 tiny slice of wheaten.. Why are the prices so extortionate?? We used to love going there for a meal, after todays £103 bill it will need to change direction completely!!
Ordered 2 Chinese banquets for takeaway. Most of it was OK nothing fantastic but no complaints except for the crispy duck and pancakes. The duck was completely burnt to a cinder and I mean it was literally charcoal. No could eat it and it all went in the bin.
El horario de apertura es;
De lunes a sábado, de 7 am a 7 pm.
Domingo, 8 am a 6 pm.
Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.
We had a nice lunch in Costa Armagh yesterday. The staff were friendly, the food was good, the server bought the hot food to the table. It wasn't too busy and it had a nice atmosphere.
Had a shopping trip to the outlet with a friend. Decided to do lunch at Starbucks. The wraps were ok and got them toasted. Tea and coffee maybe a little overpriced. Staff were lovely Mia with blue tints to her hair was just lovely and helpful. So much so that I wrote this review. The other girl was lovely too. Good staff are hard to get so try and hold on tight to them
We decided to give Crusoes Catch a go while visiting Castlerock and I can say that we were not disappointed. Very tasty fish and crispy batter, cooked perfectly and a good portion of chips. Excellent!
Happy to return at a later date.

We arrived for dinner at 6pm and waited over an hour for the some of the kids to get their food. One of our party got the chicken wings and sent them back as they were frozen on the inside. The Caesar salad had uncooked chicken also. The people who ordered the steaks were waiting for their sides to be told there were no sides with it just a plate with two tomatoes and a steak. We had to ask on numerous occasions for the food for the kids. We had a party of 14 but we had pre-ordered the food as requested by the hotel however they didn't have a clue what was ordered. Very bad experience and over priced. Would not recommend and will definitely never go back to this hotel.
Order from here normally once/twice a week. Waited three hours on delivery for it to be cold & burnt messaged page and got no reply, won’t be back. When called to ask where food was, got told we give another address when we didn’t. Would advise taking numbers and calling the customer back to make sure order and address is correct.
