The best restaurants in Yorkshire and The Humber

😅 we literally had to press it to get service. It was a tad different, but you know, it didn't really bother us. We had to wait for about 4 minutes, not too shabby, eh? 🕰️ We found ourselves a cosy little spot and got seated 👥. But guess what? We were asked to shift! 😂 Not sure why, but we didn't mind, just moved to another spot. Now here comes the best part. We ordered a couple of their burgers 🍔 and chips 🍟, an absolute classic. And mate, you won't believe the price - just 4 pounds 50! It's a bloody steal if you ask me. I mean, you probably wouldn't find a better deal anywhere else right now. 😮🙌 But then, we also ordered tea ☕ and that's when things went a bit downhill. They charged us 2 pounds 20 for it! I mean, we're talking about a backstreet café here mate, not a posh uptown joint. It's just ridiculous, you shouldn't have to pay more than 1 pound 50 tops for a cuppa there. 😕 We had to wait a bit for the food, roughly around 15 minutes. But once it arrived, I gotta say it was smashing! The food was absolutely delicious. Truth be told, it was outstanding! 😋👍 We really enjoyed it. When you walk past the restaurant, it always look do beautiful & inviting, so it was decided that we would have my birthday Celebration gathering there and WOW what can I say, we were not disappointed. From start to finish - SUPERB: atmospher in a beautifully decorated environment and with the most joyful staff, ALL amazing.diligent and served us well. HOWEVER a big shout out has to go to the Chef because all the dishes that was served were FANTASTIC - everyone one loved what they ate - easy11 out of 10 👌🏾

Una cafetería absolutamente fabulosa, tiene una gran selección de menús, las patatas fritas son para morirse, y la ensalada de col casera es una gran ventaja añadida! personal tan amable, lo recomendaría encarecidamente, han sido numerosas veces y la comida siempre perfecta, desafiantemente será de nuevo.

Went to this restaurant by chance and fancied a different Italian…have to say it was an excellent choice, food was hot fresh and tasty and if you have a big appetite you’re in for a treat because their portions are big. The staff were so polite and accommodating and although there wasn’t a mixed veg side on the menu they went out their way to make us a lovely plate of mixed veg. Delicious food, lovely staff, great service and excellent value for money. Loved it.

was ok, made the mistake of putting grease paper on fish and cake and that always rips away the batter, fish too well done for me cake was tasty enough just a small one compared to other fish shops and pricy for size, the sausage was nice and scampi was nice

The pepperoni is absolutely delicious!

I have ordered my son a meal from here a few times over the last 7 weeks. Everything has always been very nice, however today it was very poor. The chips smelled of cheap burnt fat and he said they were horrible and the burger was thrown together and slopped with sauce. He left most of it. It wasnt cheap either, alot to pay for cheap poor food.

Delicious Sunday dinner, everything cooked perfectly and just the right amount. The Yorkshire parkin sponge with salted caramel sauce and vanilla cream was the best pudding I've had in a long time. We'll be back!

Could be a great pub. Sadly, it is terrible.

I love this place I've been there a few times now and always felt very cozy, great atmosphere, good music, in a nice spot, nicely done out.... However, I was planning on having my 40th there, or at least starting off there for a good handful of hours, but I'm told it's not open at the moment, temporarily shut?

El personal amable y agradable que trabajaba solo, tenía poco que vender, la máquina de café no era apta para el propósito y el café era como un batido.

Been here a few times since it has opened, it’s my new favourite spot! Great locally sourced food made fresh to order with a good choice of specials too. Will be returning soon

I stayed 5 nights in Cecilia's lodge (the old Quaker meeting room) and it was very enjoyable and excellent value for money. Having use of the part of the garden used for the pizzeria to barbeque and relax in was an added bonus. On my last evening I sampled one of Cecilia's pizzas and it was tasty, generously topped and very filling.
