I was there today with my family and friends. The food was delicious. The pistachio cheesecake was wonderful ( Sorry, I didn't take a picture because I ate it quickly). We will definitely come back again.

Saw the sandwiches in the window and knew this was where we needed to get lunch. Ordered sandwiches to take away, and they were toasted to perfection. Good tasting food and friendly staff. Would recommend for lunch 👍.

What an amazing place, tucked away in Hull's old town! It's absolutely gorgeous inside, full of charm and character, large candles in bottles, all very atmospheric, and the perfect venue to celebrate my sister's 60th. From the moment we arrived the staff were lovely and so attentive, going above and beyond to look after us, including personally pointing out all the vegan dishes (practically all) as well as the gluten free options for the Coeliac in our party. The food is absolutely incredible! Everything was so delicious, from starters (served at the table) to the vast array of main course dishes AND desserts. They even gathered some of the staff to join in the singing of Happy Birthday. I'm not surprised that Hitchcocks has been in business for many years and is as popular as ever. Honestly can't recommend highly enough, and can't wait to go back! 😃

I had my usual large black Americano today. Staff on duty were as always so friendly and happy to serve me my favourite coffee. I treat myself to the Italian chicken and rice soup which was delicious 😋 It's dog friendly too 🐶

Great pub with plenty of seating and numerous big screens if you want to watch sport. Quick, friendly service and amazingly reasonable prices. Glad they don't serve food - stops it from turning into a creche, like so many other pubs in the area.

We recently hosted my Mum’s 60th birthday party at Gimbals. Janet, Charlie and the whole team were amazing throughout. They helped us plan a perfect event, with a personalised menu and went all out to make the venue look fabulous. Our guests were all amazed at the quality of food and the fantastic service. I can’t recommend Gimbals enough. If you’re looking for somewhere truly unique to host a special event this is the place. Thank you so much team Gimbals!

food was not ediable,burnt items missing and absolutely swimming in water from scrambled egg.sandwhich bread was wet and took over an hour to come very dissappimting even more so when a breakfast and a sandwich was just shy of 30quid would not recommend i requested a refund and ordered a Greg's
