The best restaurants in Yorkshire and The Humber

Absolutely amazing, staff couldn't have been nicer (the chef coming and explaining the dishes was an especially lovely touch), food was fantastic. As others have said it leans a little towards the pricey side but as an occasional treat I don't mind shelling out a bit more than usual for such good food and customer service.

Good food, but not very hot and extremely late- clearly treated as second class customers after those eating in.

Usually nice food. Turned up late after waiting over an hour, mango dip missing, food was lukewarm and fish pakoras weren’t even slightly crispy and were a horrible soggy, slimy mess. Won’t return

On a recent visit to Howarth my wife and I decided to go for a few drinks in the evening of our visit, we visited 4 pubs/bars and had the same round of drinks in each (A pint and a half of a popular known brand of lager, not premium of craft beers just a standard Lager) the bar person was fine, friendly enough, took our order and served the drinks, which was all good, at this point my wife and I were distracted by something we found amusing that we had seen through the window outside so when the bar person came up with the card reader I just tapped my card and paid, (Please note at no point was I informed of the price of my purchase by the bar person but i was informed by the bar person where to place my bank card on the card reader to complete the purchase and I heard that clearly so it’s not a case of being over distracted and not hearing something that was said.) When I returned home I checked my online banking and noticed I had been charged £10.10 for this purchase which was between £3.00 and £2.70 Higher than the 3 other Pubs/Bars we visited on that evening twice purchasing a pint and a half of the same product and once a very similar product, I’m not entirely sure if I was charged for two pints (which would of still made it pricey) or if I was simply overcharged. other than that, it’s an ok place for a drink, not much atmosphere though.

What super food and nice people. Dog friendly. On holiday nearby. Went a few times it was sooo nice.

Great little cafe and farm shop. We had a small breakfast made with love with quality ingredients. Quiet and peacefull location by fishing pond.

Hand pulled beer is superb, food was excellent with good sized portions. We will definitely be back

I have been going to Greengates Fisheries over 40 years because I think it's the best fish shop in Bradford

Love this little cafe next to a farm shop. The staff are all good and friendly. Lovely choice of homemade food and cakes. Call here regularly for breakfast. Always have the large English. The other thing I like here is they still have hand sanitiser on both doors. Well done. Wish more still did it

Awesome ale house. Great selection of beers and ciders, plus a couple of non alcoholic beverages (Guinness zero, Koppaberg etc).

Really good fish and chips from the grumpy fryer! no grumpy service however, everyone is very pleasant and helpful. good value and worth a visit.
