Absolutely fantastic cooked breakfast on a a Sunday morning. I'm 6'7" and 160kgs but the portions were too generous even for me. Teenage daughter loved her burger and she is super picky.

This is one of the most affordable places to eat around Malton / Norton. Food is always fresh and delicious and the wait for food is small. Definitely one of our faves!

First time we tried it though we are very near locals. Not very impressed with the takeaway food or, especially, the coffees which were dreadful.

Bright and breezy cafe/takeaway with an extensive blackboard menu including loaded fries, wraps etc. Tried the plated breakfast at £8 with tea at 1.50 - enjoyable, clean plateful with toast or bap. Will return to try something different.

Such a little gem! After our hotel told us last minute breakfast wasn't being served. We went on the hunt. This is more than a Cafe. Had a huge breakfast, cooked to perfection. Worth every penny! Highly recommend!!

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Everything is cooked fresh to order. There is plenty of menu choice with lots of different specials added regularly. Dave and shvione always go above and beyond with a smile and top banter. What more do you want!

Tried this place for the first time, as lovely as it looks but the sausage sandwich was very disappointing the bread cake was smothered in buttered to the point where it was dripping out and the sausages were slightly under cooked with the toughest of skins. Needles to say it went in the bin.

Called in today for 2 sausage sandwiches and sadly we were left disappointed. The sausage skins were really quite tough to bite through and one of the sandwiches was far too heavily buttered. It's a shame as it looks like a lovely little cafe.

We called in for a drink after a walk around the Rosedale circular with our two dogs. The fire was lit and available seats were sparse! We managed to time it well for two bar stools to become available. The staff were attentive and drinks were good. It had a great atmosphere too.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The staff are wonderful, friendly and professional. The food is delicious with great evening menu with plenty of choice and the breakfast is as good as they come. The rooms are very comfortable, warm and dry well appointed. This is our top Yorkshire hotel if not the UK

A rustic village pub, which is popular with the local community. Nothing fancy but with a nice atmosphere. The food is AMAZING - locally sourced meats etc; home-cooked, and excellent value for money. I had the steak pie, which was outstanding - meat that melted and with suet pastry! I also had the treacle sponge with custard (made with milk! 😀) This is the second visit and looking forward to the next visit.

As a family of 5, we visited Pickering during half term. We read great things about Figaros so decided to book a table for dinner. We are all so glad we did, we couldn't fault any aspect of our meal. We were also amazed at the reasonable prices when compared to our local Italian restaurants in Leicestershire. Booking seems to be essential, we watched at least 10 people get turned away without a booking.

On a busy Saturday night, the service was slow, we started with sourdough and labneh & dukkha, then shared their rarebit on a flatbread with a nice sauce, that was the highlight. I followed with cod and monkfish with mussels, the fish was good but the mussels with it were cold. My wife chose lamb rump which was also cold and was undercooked. We cancelled a second booking.
