We had our first get together since March. Social distancing we had a great morning. Friendly staff. Best hot chocolate ever and cake. Definitely be back whenever we can

My work colleague and I have been to the hot chocolate lounge on a number of occasions for breakfast we have had toast cut off a loaf of bread so nice and thick with butter and marmalade and tea the service is always excellent

We visited the lounge whilst on our shopping trip. It is a small local hub designed for locals and visitors to meet together. There are daily specials of hot meals as well as hot/ cold snacks. There is a good choice of sweet cakes and buns too. The menu choices are varied and the drinks are varied. The hot chocolate specialities are very unusual as well as inexpensive with the Spanish chocolate special providing a very strong chocolate shot. Easily accessible, friendly staff and customer toilet which is becoming more of a rarity these days

Whilst visiting this area we came across this terrific chocolate lounge which demonstrated a skill in presenting chocolate to a very high standard made in the traditional way (soft delicious runny). Very friendly staff and café culture setting was very inviting.

Usually call here every Thursday before collecting our grandchildren from school, a cup of their excellent coffee and a cake to share is our guilty pleasure, tried the scones last week which are so light and tasty. On Friday decided to have a light lunch before going onto school for a summer fayre, the sandwiches made with bread from a local bakery are to die for and cut like doorsteps; can’t afford to eat these on a regular basis for my clothes sake. The ladies here bake a good amount of the food for sale and are friendly and pleasant to customers, it’s a place we love to visit.

Booked an afternoon tea for my wife and myself and it is definitely worth it. We have paid twice as much for half the quality before now at other popular places. The staff are so friendly,pleasant and helpful,one even invited an old lady in out of the rain for a warm drink on the house,paid for out of a gratuities box on the counter. We also had a lovely chat with the boss,Libby, who told us so much about where chocolate and coffee beans come from,it's great to see and talk to someone who is so passionate about their business. Good luck to everyone involved at The Hot Chocolate Lounge and,please,anyone wanting a nice coffee and a bun,or light snack,don't hesitate in calling into this little gem of a place.

I live & work in the area & had no idea this place existed until my colleagues walked into work with a sandwich & wow what a sandwich! I mentioned it to my husband & decided we had to try it, we weren’t disappointed. The sandwiches were made freshly as we stood & waited & were very tasty & filling. Whilst there we purchased two hot chocolate lollies for the kids to try when we got home-also didn’t disappoint, we will definitely be returning in the near future.

I didn’t even know this place existed... visited for coffee with friends and had ‘eggy bread’ ... mmmmm They have a few things on the menu I want to try do will be visiting again.

Me and a friend went for the chocolate afternoon tea and it was truly amazing from the moment we went in. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful when we had to make our choices from the all the delicious options. The hot chocolates are out of this world and made from belgian chocolate not powder. The delicious sandwiches came on freshly made bread and each one was so tasty and served with a small side salad and Yorkshire crisps (yummy). Next was for us the Star of the show a chocolate chip scone with raspberry/choc jam and cream. Every single mouthful was superb. We had to take the chocolate tart and tray bake cakes home with us and were given handy bags for the purpose of doing so. We have had many afternoon teas at lots of establishments around the country including The Ritz in London but this was by far the best and such good value too. The Hot Chocolate lounge is a fabulous place in the community and is a training establishment too passing on barista and chocolatier skills to people. Will definitely recommend this place to all our friends. Thank you for a lovely afternoon in comfy, friendly surroundings ***** all the way!

Cosy little coffee shop, real chocolate curls on cappuccino, lovely tasty cakes, excellent customer service. A must to visit :)

We popped into the Hot Chocolate Lounge today for lunch and we're very impressed. If you want really good quality "proper" food in a friendly atmosphere this is the place to visit. More importantly the story behind the business is inspiring, we spent some time talking with the owner and to greathear her passion for the business and for giving something back to the local community is amazing, she's giving young locals a chance to work and gain experience. We will definitely be back and wish you well with the business

This little place sounded great and so we ducked our normal coffee stop at Wentworth Garden Centre in favour of the Hot Chocolate Lounge last week on our day off. We checked the Trip Advisor reviews and the website of the Lounge to make sure it was open and tootled off to Denaby Main. We found the handy car park close by but to our dismay the place was completely closed - shutters down and everything. It was only 2.30pm - so early for hot chocolate and a cake!

Called in for a coffee for the first time today and it won't be the last. Great coffee, great service from friendly staff and good atmosphere. Managed by Libby who has great ambition and was happy to have a chat with her customers. Well done, see you again soon

Popped in here as I'd passed a few times and always wondered what it was like. I'm so glad I did, the staff were so friendly and chatty with us, and the drinks we had were top quality (we even ordered some to take out after we had drank in with a coffee as it was so nice!) great little place, with lovely local produce on sale too. Next time we are in, we will definitely be trying the food!

An amazing little place in a row of nondescript shops, largely peopled by mums with kids in buggies, it is an unlikely setting for amazing hot chocolate and excellent snacks. While the menu is limited and is largely cakes and cookies there are very good toasties and other savouries in there. On our visit around 1pm on a weekday there was only one person waiting tables but she did an amazing job, while the kitchen worked flat out to produce the goods.

Brilliant concept in Denaby. The Hot Chocolate lounge is superbly run and staffed. Theme days, events and specials of the day all contribute to the excitement of having this lovely cafe close by!

Nice place with decent coffee. A bit out of the way, in Denaby Main. Coffee was around 1.80 a mug. Didn't try the food.

I loved everything about this place. The locally made chutney and tea. The extra rich hot chocolate was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. The manager who served us was great. The music was relaxing. Everything was wonderful and I can highly recommend this lovely little place. Thank you!!

Very good food brilliant staff very clean if you ant tried it you must breakfast is to die for can't say more than that just got to try it

After hearing fabulous things about this place I decided to take my deputy manager for a meeting and a coffee.

We were greeted as if we were old friends, the service was excellent and so was the meal and drinks. The whole experience was excellent and it was great value for money.

It's tucked away but serves great snacks and drinks. The service is great and the interior is really stylish. The chocolate fondue is amazing and so is the large selection of hot chocolates. I love going for lunch or just a coffee. It's fab!

The hot chocolate lounge is a awesome little cafe in the heart of denaby, with very friendly staff, excellent customer service and fantastic food. A very good selection of food and drinks, and a very nice kids menu that my daughter loves! Well worth paying it a visit, i gaurentee you wont be disappointed! X

Came here this month,as heard good comments about the hot chocolate lounge.I ordered a strawberry kiss hot chocolate,the staff were well trained.Very friendly and attentive.Im working my way through the hot chocolate flavours....

Have visited on more than one occasion (think I've been 5 times so far!) and can't praise it enough. The food is great, the staff are fab - so friendly and welcoming - and the place is lovely. Amazing range of homemade sweet treats, the tiffin is gorgeous. Have been with various family members and friends ranging from ages 3 - 89 years old and there's something for everyone.

Love, love, love this place. I've become a regular visitor over the last few weeks. The breakfast menu is lovely. Staff are so accommodating and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and very child friendly. I can't recommend this place enough, the coffee is amazing and the homemade treats are impossible to resist.

Totally unexpected treat. Great ambience, friendly staff and great food and coffee at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

what a wonderful little place this is!!! The service is excellent and the staff are great. The decor is lovely anf there's a really nice atmospher The menu is simple but fantastic and the different hot chocolates are amazing. They use local producers as suppliers and even retail many of the produce used in their menus, from tea to jam and chutney.

Great drinks and a moderate selection food dishes, all freshly prepared. The hot chocolate us made with real chocolate not powdered. Staff very friendly.

In a village known more for no frills value for money , The Hot Chocolate Lounge was a very pleasant surprise. The décor has a clean and modern look about it more usually seen in larger towns and cities and the low key jazz music playing in the background lent our lunch a welcome sense of sophistication.
