Solid pub at the station for a quick sup, could totally recommend to spend a quick half hour before your train.

Always worth a visit if passing. Good selection of well kept craft and real ales. Friendly helpful staff in a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

Lovely little station micro pub, brilliant selection of beer's, being situated on platform 3b I can envisage people missing a few trains because its so good plus if you're trains go from that platform you can sit outside at watch it arrive

We had 40 minutes to spare before trains home and enjoyed an excellent beer in this charming pub. There was even talk of allowing more time to try others on the next trip.

It's the best beer bar in Doncaster... and beyond! Situated on Platform 3B of Doncaster station you will find a small cozy bar with a rotating selection of 7 keg and 3 cask beers, plus an excellent can and bottle selection. The beers are all top quality and often feature rare offerings from Europe and the US you wouldn't usually be able to get hold of. The staff are exceptional and provide a warm welcome. If you're not sure what to go for, set out your preferences and they'll suggest a beer (or two) for you.

Loved this little pub on the platform at Doncaster Station. Great choice of beers and really nicely done out inside. There's a few outdoor tables if you want to watch the trains passing. Pork pies on the bar looked great too. Definitely my favourite place in Doncaster for a pint.

Monday 23 May 2022 I visited this small quaint station bar 3 bloody good ales on Nice cosy atmosphere to drink good real ale with easy listening background music can drink out of plastic glass if wish to drink on outside area on the platform Only crib, why still got glass partition up on bar? Wednesday 11th October 3023 Yhis pub on Doncaster train station is one of the best real ale pubs. I've been on a small great friendly real ale bars with great ownership. we need So well kept 3 hand pumped real ales I wish we could have pubs like this on all railway stations Extra plus the pork pies served her are great value and lovey only crib please get rid of covid glass on bar

Small but perfectly formed, The Draughtsman is a must-see on any trip to Doncaster. The friendly and welcoming staff are happy to talk you through guest ales and make recommendations. As well as an interesting, ever-changing selection of drinks, they have some classic bar snacks such as pork pies and sausage rolls. Merchandise and related books are also on sale. Good stopping off point. Bit of silly rule on if you're sat right outside the door you gotta have plastic, but thats probably LNER's doing. Pleasant staff and decent prices

Great little pub listed in the 2023 Good Beer Guide, handily placed on Doncaster train station. Good for commuters looking for a break and a pint. You don't need to buy a train a ticket from the town side to get to it. Drink in or takeaway tins available.

Making only my second ever visit to Doncaster. Only previous visit was with Flat Eric for a football match. Madge with me this time. A short train ride from Sheffield. She spotted this small bar come café on Platform 3b so stopped for a quick half. A NZ Pale by Shiny brewery. A refreshing 3.9% beer. Lovely small interior. Sat outside on the platform. Two other real ales on sale.

Nice place, nice staff. Great if you're passing through. Some silly rules regarding plastic cups on the platform Vs. glasses inside (not their fault, just Network Rail/Transport Police) but definitely worth a visit 👍

I’m a big fan of the concept of pubs on railway platforms as a whole, but there are levels and this is at the top tier. Firstly, the range is on a different level. Cask from the likes of Thornbridge and Milestone on my visit, and included a varied Keg range from Dutch brewery Jopen that I haven’t seen anywhere else before, with a superb range in the fridge. The setting and ambience is fantastic, with the architecture and fittings being sympathetic to the golden age of train travel. Service was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. And then there is the value, which in these times is different than it was a few years ago… but it felt like being in a fabulous timewarp with cask prices basically unchanged, and keg prices considering the ABV and rarity very reasonable indeed. If you are passing through Donny station - and even if you’re not - it’s worth booking a ticket that delays you for a good 90 minutes at the very least (and they do take out in cans and plastic milk bottles if you haven’t got time). I can’t speak highly enough of them.

Probably the best trackside bar I’ve visited. Something for everyone to drink plus the added bonus of of 🚂 passing by. Well worth stopping off from your journey to call in or even missing your connection like I had no hesitation doing.

I've been here before, many times, and loved the place. I'm writing this at 19 .40, and it closes at 20.00. Snitty barman, bereft of charm, has called last orders, all beers are off, and there is a red chord acroos the entrance. He has grudgingly allowed me a glass of dry white wine, as long as I sitboutside. Clearly a graduate of the Doncaster School of Charm. Not. Tonight, the customer is always wrong. Thanks for enhancing the start of a long journey....

Just perfect for when my train is late. Beautiful IPA presented in perfect form and at a very reasonable price 10 out of 10 for quality and for the excellent service provided.

I was bummed about my 40 min wait at Doncaster station until I remembered it has this fantastic little real ale pub on platform 3b. Then I wished my wait was longer. I'll have to plan more (and longer) train connections in Doncaster in the future.

This fantastic little beer outlet is a great addition to Doncaster station, providing a lovely little bar for a quick pint or two whilst waiting for your onward train. Simply pop along the main platform and you’ll find the Draughtsman, or rather it’s little outdoor/platform adjacent seating area. This means you can grab a drink and enjoy a spot of people or train watching. Offers both the regular big-name brands of booze as well as smaller/real ale names, including local offerings such as those from the Mexborough based Gorilla Brewing Co (their Vanilla Gorilla is a delicious vanilla and chocolate Porter!)

Lovely little micro brewery pub, been travelling via Doncaster for almost 10 years before I stepped in here this afternoon. Thankfully the service from the barman and the conversation struck up made me forget about all the missed opportunities I'd had before! Picked up a t-shirt and had some tap ale I'd not tried before. A must for anyone departing or arriving!

A great little independent, train station pub, small and friendly and with plenty of quality beverages to choose from. It has that old fashioned feel and look about it.

This is a gem. Every time I change trains at Doncaster I make sure I build in some time to have a pint in here. Constantly changing range of cask ales, and often a dark one which I love. Long may it continue.

Amazing drinking establishment. Fantastic and friendly service from the lads in there. Great beers, which change regularly. Good prices. Nice interior. A proper, proper drinking hole.

The screens across the bar are really poor for communication, no garnish for the G&T & charged full price and if you step one foot outside plastic glasses required 🤨

First visit, so much to drink and many styles, par keeper knowledgable, great little place could and will spend a day there. First class.

Good pub but unreliable with opening times; on Google it mentions an 8pm closing, at the door, a 7:30pm closing, but then when you arrive before that, the doors are already locked up.

Good to call by, even for just a coffee. Great service.

A little unusual, but I like it Stumbled on this by accident, situated on Platform 3b the former buffet room, which has stood empty for 18 years Although this was a buffet room it looks and feels like an old school traditional pub This is a very small pub probably smaller than a lot of people's living room, it is bursting with character I had a half and my friend had a pint and it was reasonably priced It's nice and quirky and the next time I go to Doncaster I'll be sure to visit Cheers 🍻

Over £7 for a small can of beer to take away. There is profiteering and then there is extortion, this place is the latter. There is a Merlin Hungry Horse pub in the Frenchgate centre, just a short covered walk away.

Can't fault it really. I love a good sour, but sometimes it feels the world is moving on. Here there was a good range of Vault City, and a few other choice drinks in the fridge. On tap, a Vocation stout for £3.80 a pint would be enough to persuade a Londoner they chose the wrong place to settle down. Good.
