Come here every time I am in York and always the same great fish and chips well worth the money .

Meal for six. Friendly Staff and the food was excellent, I had the lamb and it was cooked to my liking 😊😊😊

We visited the hotel and restaurant for an evening dinner and overnight stay. The service was exceptional throughout. The food lived up to expectations and each course was a taste sensation. The hotel room was quaint and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! You need deep pockets and if you go with that in mind I’ll guarantee you’ll have a first class dining experience.

We ordered Caesar salad but received a bean,potato salad and mixed greens,no anchovies,parmesan,egg or croutons

No teníamos una reserva, pero encontraron una mesa para nosotros en el acogedor comedor de abajo. La vajilla era hermosa. Me llamó la atención nada más sentarnos. Todas las piezas artesanales tradicionales de Polonia. El personal fue muy amable y ofreció sus consejos sobre bebidas y platos. Pedimos pierogi, golabki y placek, con algunas cervezas recomendadas. Todo estaba delicioso. Estábamos tan llenos al final, que desafortunadamente no teníamos espacio para ninguno de los postres increíbles. También hacen un desayuno, aunque todavía estamos demasiado llenos de la cena para considerarlo!

Went on recommendation. It was busy but we managed to get a table. Staff were friendly enough. Order was taken quickly. Prices were similar to those back home in Essex. Small Cod and chips were fine, equivalent to.a medium at my local. Some people were having ridiculous sized portions but I think that's why its so popular. Creme Brulee was nice and big but should have been slightly warm not cold.

Three of us went on Sunday 25th May at 2:30. The server was so negative and made us feel unwanted and a chore. Been many times but this kind of attitude ruined the day

Lovely cozy place. Very busy but the staff was very attentive and on point. Very clean, great food, although the portions are quite small generally. We went there on a Saturday evening. Can recommend, just bear in mind the portion sizez

Make sure you don’t get sat near near the door. The servers barely ever come over to you. When they do it’s always chicken. Disappointed overall

Oh my God the meal ive just had was exceptional! Loads for 2 people (plus left overs for tomorrow) for £25!! I cant believe ive paid £50 + for the same amount of food elsewhere and no where near as nice. Lovely guys working there too. Highly recommend 👌🏻

I come here at least a few times a week and the drive is always worth it, really respectful staff and the service is impeccable. My go to place!
