Nice and tasty food, good customer service, good prices and clean shop. Would definitely recommend them.

Honestly, this has to be one of the best fish and chip shops in York. The fish was beautifully crispy and fresh, the chips were proper golden and fluffy, and the mushy peas were spot on. It all came out hot and fresh, and the portion size was more than generous. Can’t fault it at all — if you’re in York and fancy a proper chippy tea, this place is a must.

Won’t be using delivery again , item missing, can’t ring Costa to ask where it is , their phone lines are permanently closed ! Cant ring Deliveroo, i can only email and they will be in touch within 24 hours . This is appalling customer service from both companies .

Excellent food very tasty chicken we definitely come back again

£18 for a mixed up pile of sloppy ‘food’ let’s just say it’s ruined my morning and I will not be back. Not one to write a review but might as well waste some time since I’ve wasted my money.

Non alcoholic beer £4.50, very expensive and had to be brought up from tbe cellar, only o e option to xhoose from. Food service was quick but portion sizes were small, my Hunter's chicken was not very warm. Meals were expensive for what we got. Beer garden was busy as was a sunny Friday, rowdy individuals were present, doing a lot of swearing and shouting around children. They should have been asked to keep it down. We won't be returning.

Great place at great value so close to the city centre, which is only around 20 minutes on foot. Yes the furniture in the room was a little dated, and the wallpaper and paint could do with freshening up, but the rooms are clean and tidy and provide all the amenities with a spacious bedroom and en suite. Rooms are always warm, which was more than welcome from the biting cold outside. If I had to make any criticism it would be the mirror in the bathroom, as I am short, fat and hairy, I had to stand on my tiptoes to shave. But the hosts here are great, and always checking to make sure things are ok and that you have a plentiful supply of tea bags and coffee. They also provide off street parking to the rear of the Inn and while I didn’t sit the bar, it looked like a great place to unwind and they offer bar snacks should you get peckish.

Great menu and delicious food. Service was friendly and attentive Not surprised it was busy on a Tuesday morning. Had the full English which was great value, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. Wanted to go back the next day to buy lunch the next day but we weee on the wrong side of town.
