Perfect local spot for a drink and or food, staff are excellent and the owners are very friendly and definitely very attentive would definitely recommend

My friends and I visited this place for brunch, but we were disappointed to find that we were charged double what we expected. The menu offered boards/platters priced at £9.50 per person. My friend and I ordered one platter each, assuming it would be enough for us to just nibble on. However, we were surprised to receive platters meant for two people each, totaling enough for four people. Despite this, the portion sizes did not reflect the intended servings. For instance, there were four types of meats, each with only two slices, which we only realized when we received the bill. The overall cost for the food ended up being unexpectedly high, which was not clearly communicated to us. Additionally, the server didn't clarify whether the platters were intended for one person or for two, which added to the confusion. We probably won't be returning here as we felt a little taken advantage of.

This is certainly not my last visit!! Myself and two friends, having a special reunion moment, did not regret our choice of venue. The owners are welcoming and they happily indulged my insatiable food curiosity which was piqued by their fascinating selections. Overall, I left with the impression that this had been a food and wine journey and that I was in the safe hands of fellow food lovers with a whole lot more skill and knowledge than me. I was intrigued by their sourcing (try the only vegan cheese I have ever ordered seconds of and want to own the recipe for and THE most delicious pistachio ice cream ever). I felt that my few hours here was so yummily enjoyable due to the considerable knowledge and craftsmanship of the owners... flavour combining heaven, with a warm ambience. A huge well done!! I had eaten a food Picasso; a platter of pleasing colour, texture, master flavour combining and pleasing surprises. I will be back with food loving friends.. because I'm not sure this place would be fully appreciated by friends who are more complacent about what they pop in their mouths (no names and you don't know who you are)

Amazing and friendly wine bar with great cocktails, the best selection of wines in York (and the beer's not bad either). The food is amazing and the club sandwich is not to be missed. Definitely worth a visit!

I took my Mum today. I just wanted to get her out of the house for a little break. We only had coffee and cake. It was really nice, great value and the cinnamon swirl was delicious. The staff were so helpful and really friendly. Mum really enjoyed her visit. She can be critical sometimes...but not today. We will go back when my sister is here. And dog friendly.

Poached eggs were too hard and spinach hadn't been washed as every mouthful was gritty.

Stopped in on a Monday night. Had a beer, place was buzzing. Great service. Wished I could have stayed longer. Great place.

Popped in during the afternoon not expecting fine dining but gave it a go. Delicious food, friendly helpful staff. The tuna and caponata was delicious. Only beaten by the blackberry polenta cake with pistachio ice cream.

A lovely lunch date with the husband. Service was swift, efficient and attentive. Food was delicious and well presented.

Fantastic place, all the staff was helpful, especially Franco, who made my fathers very special. The wine is perfect and the food is the best in york. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you

Super little drinking place, friendly owners and great location

Friends and I meet for coffee a couple of times a week for coffee. The staff are friendly and service is good. Not had a meal there but know people who have and enjoyed the experience.

First time here for a cup of coffee and a croissant. Quite busy and only 2 staff front of house, although lunchtime, meant very slow service. Felt a bit ignored . Just about to leave when coffee arrived. Plus points were fairly decent coffee on elegant plates, lovely spoons, but had to ask for sugar. On the minus side disappointing croissant because although warm,it was tough and soggy suggesting it had been microwaved. However it's early days, am sure you'll iron out these things. Will certainly be in again sometime, as it's a nice atmosphere.

Love this bar! I enjoyed going to the other spot in Bishy road, but so happy they have opened another 2 Many Wines in Heworth. Great selection of wines by the glass and bottle, along with amazing food too. Can't wait to return :)

Lovely addition to the area. The quality is great and the staff are friendly. I love how passionate the owners are. The prices are very high, it would be nice if they did an afternoon coffee and a cake deal, rather than have to pay dessert prices. And they could add a vegan sharing platter to the menu.

Lovely and sensitive revamping of this popular venue. Has become a higher level drink/diner where you’d be proud to take a couple of friends for a meal if you didn’t want to trek into town. Low volume cool music creates a really nice relaxed ambiance so you can chat without thumping bass in your chest. Friendly and informative waitress for whom nothing was too much trouble. Just a great experience all round. Can recommend the green scramble and the amazing choc/orange torte…..well done to all, we’ll def return.

Went on opening day. Had a wonderful evening. a wonderful selection of wines and the food (tuna carpaccio and bruschetta ) were stunning, both visually and taste wise. - A really welcome addition to East Parade

Visited for a quick coffee after dog walking a big plus during the day its dog friendly until 5 pm ! looking forward to returning for wine & food . Good Luck we need this in Heworth .

Excellent selection of wines by the glass, couple beers on draft and excellent selection of food. Superb service. Great atmosphere. Food for all budgets. Brunch dishes from £6 and posher dishes from £15 (think steak tar tar!). All food well prepared and presented. Thank you guys and welcome to East Parade!

A much needed addition to the Heworth scene, nice interiors, great service, good selection of wines. Didn't have food but the menu looks nice (and healthy).
