El personal es muy amable y atento. Muy acogedor. Minestrone casero - agradable, no lo suficientemente caliente, pero hizo el trabajo - chaqueta de patata con queso era sencillo y sólido, gran chocolate caliente y café, excelente rodaja de dulce. Pequeño lugar encantador en la ventana y ambiente cálido. Muy comprensivo con los niños y perros. ¡Gracias!

Un café de barrio donde el personal es amable - probablemente por eso siempre está lleno en el desayuno y el almuerzo. No, en realidad, la mayor razón es la elección de sabrosos sándwiches, delicioso café y servicio de primera. El personal hace todo lo posible por ayudar. Saca o siéntate y ponte cómodo. Merece la pena caminar desde el centro de la ciudad, si quieres probar el verdadero York. Disfruta!

¡El número 3 es una ventaja para Heworth! El personal es siempre acogedor y amable. Incluso cuando está ocupado, el servicio es excelente y la comida es consistentemente genial. Hay muchas opciones y todo es casero. Los pasteles también son deliciosos. Se admiten perros y se les da un poco de pollo.

No puedo recomendar esto lo suficiente. Tenemos un sándwich para llevar aquí semanalmente, absolutamente delicioso! Servicio rápido, así como pasteles encantadores!

Es un gran café durante el día. Una gran selección de deliciosos sándwiches, envolturas, pasteles, etc para agarrar e ir o sentarse y disfrutar. Los desayunos tés y cafés son muy agradables, también todos servidos en buena porcelana vieja. También hemos estado tomando unas copas un viernes por la noche con amigos. Tienen cerveza y vino y algunos platos deliciosos. El personal es siempre encantador y su perro tendrá un pequeño bocado para comer también!

La señora y yo venimos aquí regularmente, ya sea para sentarse en el desayuno o sándwich o para llevar S está a la vuelta de la esquina de nuestra casa. Nunca una mala palabra que decir, el personal siempre educado y amable e incluso dar un capricho a nuestro perro para que le encanta también. Recomendaría el sándwich de Jota y Dave, el de cangrejo de río y el desayuno rancho! Nunca no vendrá aquí cuando esté abierto y me encanta el ambiente en este lugar

Increíble desayuno y servicio amable. Vamos al número 3 al menos dos veces por semana y nunca decepciona. Puedo recomendar el desayuno Eggs Eric y Veggie, pero hay algo para todos.

Undoubtedly one of York's hidden gems, this place has it all ... friendly, welcoming staff, bright, cheery ambience, vast and varied menu, and superb food at very reasonable prices. A "must" if you're in York!

Nice place and has outside seating. I don’t recommend coming here for breakfast. - Small portions, - Expensive for what you get, - Very bland.

The atmosphere was lovely! The inside is lovely and has a nice feel. Outdoor seating with a good view, however the food wasn’t very flavourful. The veggie breakfast had no seasoning, and while good quality was not very enjoyable :(

Really poor sandwich! £6 ‘specialty’ sandwich. Had to throw it away it was that bad! I’m not one to complain ( see all my previous reviews ) but this was really poor! I also asked for panini but I didn’t have time to ask for it to be rectified as already had a long wait ( don’t mind waiting at lunch time ) especially if it’s worth the wait. Really shocked of how bad it was. Smelt and tasted so wrong

Overall found the cafe friendly and pleasant. Shocked to witness staff member handling ham and then cheese without washing her hands in between. Also I question if she actually should have been using bare hands at all! If rectified would happily return as excellent choice of veggie options.

Super cafe/tea room. Went for an evening meal a while ago as well as lunch time takeaways. Really good food, cosy and welcoming. Look forward to my next visit.

Used to be Mairs delicatessen, and the crew of 3 took it over and have made it keep the legendary heritage of amazing sandwiches, plus the best bit of all, their incredible breakfast menu. Eggs Benedict so many ways - yum. Great prices too! The only thing I would love more is if they opened on Sundays!

Very friendly cafe with THE BEST carrot cake I have ever had!! Great coffee, great service. Excellent.

Great looking cafe from outside. It gets busy so you can have people standing over you whilst you eat. Not deterred we ordered our food. Hot food is microwaved. So bacon and maple syrup pancakes should be a problem - I’m not sure they actually remembered to microwave mine as the pancakes were clearly straight from the fridge. To their credit a new plate of food quickly went ping although my wife had to eat her food whilst I waited for mine. This has the potential to be a great local cafe, but it’s some way off yet.

Absolutely love this cafe, amazing choice and all freshly prepared. Every detail thought of and very friendly staff. Will most definitely be back and highly recommend a visit. The millionaire shortbread is a must! 😊

We visited for a late breakfast and yet again was not disappointed. On arrival (one in a wheelchair) we were greated and a ramp was put down so we could get in without any problems. The service was exceptional and attentive, drinks arrived promptly followed by hot fresh food 1 Eggs Benedics and 1 Full English which as always was very tasty and well presented and at a very reasonable price.

Ordered the full English breakfast disappointing low cost ingredients hard sausage cheap bacon cheap black pudding. Beans and sausage were not hot it appears clearly to be re heated. £9 with a small pot of tea. More like a poor greasy spoon quality. At that price it needs to be better. Friendly staff but breakfast poor. Have been going in for several years before it was called Mairs now no 3 Heworth no care taken or presentation or quality to simply serve food cold when there was 5 people I n the cafe is not acceptable.Another case of microwaving everything.

Had breakfast here one morning, and was impressed with the range and quality of options available. Pity it wasn't open on 2 of the days when I was staying nearby.

A cosy little neighbourhood cafe, where staff know the regulars and make everyone welcome as they’re busying along. The choice of lunch sandwiches is phenomenal and unrivalled - I’d recommend the crayfish, black pudding with jalapeños and chilli jam. Cakes are a tempter too. Take away or sit in and get cosy. Enjoy!

Bacon sandwich and small latte £6.00. Friendly staff and great choice of sandwich and breakfast combinations sadly mine was a bad choice it appears 3 small rashers of bacon lost in a large bap clearly pre cooked and microwaved for that price it should be cooked fresh was like boot leather sadly hardly edible have been here numerous times and the food was good choose wisely.

Our local deli / sandwich shop. Wonderful breakfasts, massive choice, and lovely staff. All in all, a great place to have some lunch!

A wonderful choice and available all day, the breakfasts here are superb. Eggs every way imaginable and well cooked and delicious. Coffee also great. Bonus for us as its right around the corner from where our daughter lives, so a visit will always now include a breakfast here! If you're feeling indulgent the pancakes and bacon with maple syrup looked amazing, but the more calorie conscious among us can stick to great, simple poached eggs on granary bread. Lovely. Oh, and excellent value too!
