Costa in York

Extremely busy Costas . The staff were handling the never-ending queues very well, though. Unfortunately, our flat whites were burnt . Presented well though

They only have one non-disabled toilet which can be very inconvenient.

The staff were super nice and made my random drink that I asked for without question!

The archetypal Costa Coffee: sticky tables, miserable staff, and a soulless atmosphere. I don’t understand how these places remain in business: there at least a dozen brilliant independent coffee shops within a hundred metres. I guess it’s because the instagirls love to pose with a paper cup from Costa Coffee …why, remains a mystery to me.

The food & service have been excellent on the last few occasions when visiting this Costa while we have been in the area. The only negative I have & it's the same in my local Costas back home is tables being taken up at busy times by people on laptops who very rarely seem to be purchasing anything of any great value but are taking space up(table of 4 with 1 person there). Be easier if they were made to share tables to utilise the space so there is room for everyone

It's really busy this costa but they get through the queue quite quickly most of the time... Most staff are approachable, but some need to remember service with a smile 😃...

A badly needed latte and cake was enjoyed here with lovely people watching views and comfy chairs

Pleasant atmosphere, close to lovely Museum Gardens; £7.15 for coffee and basic egg sandwich too expensive.

The customer service was excellent even though the coffee was very busy. We enjoy our visit today. The staff were working together as a team. great place to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there (Costa coffee on Museum street York) however being in the catering industry I was so impressed with the young lady that dealt with a customer enquiry about a food item being suitable for a coeliac. She produced the allergens file and found the product in question & relayed that kindly to the woman who had enquired. I don't think she was a supervisor But was remarkably well trained. Top marks Costa on your training. Also the view onto museum street was lovely as well as the coffee Which is consistently brilliant and my go to coffee shop of choice 👏👏👏👏👏👏.

Tables not cleaned . Had to clear our own table. Coffee was ok

Typicsl Costa but on a wet Sunday afternoon in York it had free tables which is more than I could say for most other places, so that was a big plus!

Coffee and food is good, but poor management and services. When they are busy, customers get bad service and rude responses, they don't know who's order and who is controlling it.

Have called in a few times on our visits to York as we like to stroll in the Museum Gardens opposite. The coffee and service is ok and the toilet in an acceptable state.

Visited this Costa Coffee outlet as we were heading to Museum Gardens and what a great coffee cafe this is.Housed in a beautiful building, the interior is cozy ,lovely decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this Costa Coffee outlet. We were here on a Tuesday morning, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we ordered a flat white coffee, served steaming hot, it was just so good sitting with my twin brother Stephen and enjoying a reviving cup of coffee and planning out the day ahead. We both really enjoyed our coffee's in here, couldn't fault anything about our visit, nice cafe,great coffee, lovely staff and a great location, what's not to enjoy. We moved on after our coffee's and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this Costa Coffee outlet. This Costa Coffee is easy to locate along Museum Street. Opening hours are;Monday to Saturday, Open from 7am. Sunday, Open from 8.30am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

First of all, we got told to wait together in a queue rather than one of us sit down and wait? Surely this is more logical rather than taking up more space in a crowed area. We got told to take a step back but there were people behind us so we couldn’t? Not very well organised Second of all, our food came out cold. Got told by the member of staff that a new breakfast wrap would be given to us, where instead they just reheated our old one. Not impressed and won’t be returning.

Been to many Costa around the country unlike the others this was poor service from start to finish. Wouldn't recommend.

Been on my day off from work, gorgeous sunny day! Had the best customer service ever! As a vegan I was fully accommodated by the most friendly staff!!! And was recommended the chai latte with coconut milk (GAME CHANGER) The girl who served me I think was called Ellie! Absolutely made my day!!!!

I visited this store today 18th Oct 2020 the girl behind the counter was very rude her name ie Ellie it was on her badge she was very nasty to my daughter and son in law it actually spoilt our whole day she made all of us feel like aliens it was not a nice experience her customer service was very bad and the lady behind me actually left and said she wouldn’t be spoken to like that I will never visit that shop again whilst she is there I love costa and visit the one in leeds most days and this one twice a week

Popped in here a few times for a quiet coffee before the start of our day. Always friendly and welcoming and not too busy.

Nos sorprendió mucho tener la mesa despejada mientras aún estábamos sentados en la mesa haciendo un crucigrama del Daily Mail. Otras mesas desocupadas * no fueron * borradas (incluso hasta que nos fuimos).¿Ha cambiado la política de limpieza de mesas? Sentimos que no éramos bienvenidos tan pronto como hubiéramos terminado la tarta de café, té y limón.Cuando se les preguntó, el miembro del personal dijo que era porque tenían demasiado personal en esta ocasión y nos dio la impresión de que siempre intentaban limpiar las mesas tan pronto como las personas dejaran de beber o comer. ¿Pero claramente había otros clientes que habían terminado pero que no habían limpiado su mesa? ? ?

A standard Costa, staff very friendly and polite. Very clean coffee shop ideally located, we would use again.

Situated near museam gardens and not far from the train station is this nice Costa.Seating was restricted as a number of seats were stacked up, so not much privacy to talk as available tables are so close to each other.Opted for a Apple and cinnamon tea which was very nice

After a training course in York, I had a two hour wait for the train. This Costa was only a few minutes walk from the station, was warm and dry, with free wifi and lots of available seating, even in the late afternoon.The only reason my score isn't higher is that the two large drinks I nursed during my two hours there required a trip to the toilets, one of which was absolutely disgusting. Although I hope such an occurance was a one off, it did put a bit of a downer on things.

Of all the Costas in York this one is by far the best. Obviously it does all the usual that you expect from Costas but it's the staff that make all the difference with this one. Polite, friendly, helpful and efficient. Maybe smaller than the others in York but even with fewer staff they are quick to serve and clean tables etc. Make the effort to use this one when in York.

A typical Costa. Neat clean and tidy - as good as it can be in a very busy outlet. When its super busy it can never be 100% but this gets close. Dirty dishes collected continuously and 2 baristas working very hard and very efficiently. Good for a swift drink and nibble. Usual Coasta goos standard

Came in whilst it was buy period, but got served in a professional and quick manner. Drink was up to a good standard. Clean coffee shop and polite staff.

Todo lo que experimente, Costas como lentos en el servicio, pero poner esto a su popularidad y escasez de personal normalmente, pero este fue el más largo de espera nunca. Cola durante más de 5 minutos a la orden y después esperar en otra cola de espera para recibir mi café. Sobre seis de nosotros esperando y luego algunas personas que llegaron después de nosotros pedimos llevar bebidas y nos servían antes que nosotros. Esperar 10 minutos después de otro que conseguí mi café, no murmullo de una disculpa o gracias por esperar; servicio de atención al cliente? ? ? ? ?Tres personas detrás del mostrador, uno los pedidos, una pobre chico hacer todas las bebidas y las otras mujeres que aparecen para no hacer nada más que revolotean alrededor de detrás del mostrador.Una máquina parecía estar roto como algunos obreros parecía uno de ellos estaba tratando de arreglarlo. Estas cosas pasan, pero nadie dijo una máquina está rota y disculpe por la espera, quizás algo de entrenamiento personal sería útil! ! !

En mi "título" comparamos a nuestra tiendas Café Canadiense Tim Horton, sin embargo, Costa se especializa en su humeante, tés y cafés. La espera en el lado largo, pero vale la pena. Tuvimos un descanso para el café en la cafetería Costa de York antes de salir de Nueva York y volver a Manchester. El café moca, incluyendo mi orderer nos fue muy bien preparado y de delightfuk personal. En promedio, el servicio fue sin duda lo que se esperaba sin mucho la risa ni sonrisa en su cara. El ambiente era cómoda aunque algunos basura izquierda durante todo el suelo de la cafetería. En general fue una experiencia para un café antes de salir de la hermosa ciudad de Nueva York.

Normalmente Costa es genial. Nunca había estado en esta rama antes. El personal es agradable y la comida a la altura pero la mera limpieza del lugar era asqueroso. Las mesas no aclaró, inodoro estaba completamente sucio y inodoro colgando, comida en el suelo y una impresión general de esta particular tienda no al cuidado me hace no querer volver.

Sé que estaban ocupados. Sin embargo, seguramente la gestión debe agregar más personal si es una cosa habitual. Las bebidas eran buenas, como de costumbre, el personal era amable y educado, sin embargo, la mesa estaba sucia y nadie vino a limpiar cualquier en la hora que estuvimos allí. Y, desde luego, no debería tener que limpiar un wc antes de mi hija para poder usarlo. Parte de los usuarios que podría haber sido, pero el desinfectante sobre la papelera que fluye. . . El inodoro tenía manchas que no fueron construidos en una mañana. Sin duda no habían limpiado correctamente hoy y era sólo el almuerzo.

Tenía una tarjeta regalo para Costa así Paramos aquí para un aperitivo y café. El personal no podría haber sido más servicial, especialmente la señora barista, y me habló a través del uso de la tarjeta, etc.

We stopped here for a coffee during our shopping trip. It was a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were very helpful.

Dejó aquí un café rápido después de ir de compras en el Outlet de Nueva York antes nos aventuramos en Nueva York. Como siempre el té Earl Grey fue muy buena y el café con leche de mi esposa era buena también. El personal era agradable y la tienda estaba en buen estado.

Durante nuestra reciente visita visitamos esta costa. Como con todos los precios son estándar no tiene sabor es muy bueno. Nos ofrecieron un café para un cargo adicional, que rechacé. (Si ofrecen algo nuevo, ofrecen por el mismo precio o más barato puede obtener algunos apuntes).

C'mon its a coffee. How much? I would rather wait until I get home. Clean the tables at least especially all the cigarette nubs from underneath. Not everyone who sits outside smokes and it was grim to say the least.

Can't go wrong with a Costa. Coffee is great and food fresh. Staff are lovely an friendly. Quite a lot of room for larger groups.

My wife and I have visited this café many times during our two stays in York. It is always neat and clean, the bake goods are fresh and the staff are friendly and helpful.

After braving the hoards of York, we dropped in here for a tea and coffee before starting to make our way home. Service was excellent and the tea and coffee of good quality.

I don't drink coffee so places like this are lost on me but my other half does, we visited York 3 times last week when on holiday and went here, the service was good and the coffee nice (apparently) I do think these places are a bit expensive though, not just Costa, we had take out so didn't use any other facilities.

Use this Costa a lot when coming into town ,always a friendly greeting and a smile ,even get your order brought to you some days ..the staff are always cheerful when I have been in even with a busy Que. .nice and airy good location opposite museum gardens ,can relax with a cupper would recommend.

Me gusta mucho los cafés costa, pero hoy éste tenía un mal día! El lavaplatos estaba fuera, así que las bebidas eran servidas en vasos de papel, y evoca con bastones de granizada. Me gusta mi capuchinos con mucha espuma, y un endeble stick estrechas no es de mucha ayuda aquí! Entonces me dieron mi pastel en una bolsa de papel, y fue un error. Probablemente debido a mi acento australiano... . Aparte de esto, el personal era amable y las atractivas instalaciones como de costumbre. También conseguimos hablar con un interesante par inglés. No rencorosos, Costa!

My family like Costa cafes but this was the best service I have ever had in a Costa - anywhere. Very friendly staff, nice food and drinks made it a lovely experience for my family. Recommended.

Esta rama de la cafetería más popular de Gran Bretaña está ubicado entre la zona comercial principal, el popular y el museo de los jardines mundialmente famosa Catedral de York. Siempre me pareció que el personal era amable y el servicio bastante rápido. Wi-Fi gratuito y prensa son un toque agradable en esta ciudad que parece bastante caro. Tome los pies y tienen una taza y un pastel antes de moverse al siguiente visita obligada en Nueva York.

Este fue un regalo para nosotros un Domingo almuerzo - estábamos más tarde de lo usual para llegar a Nueva York y el de otras tiendas de sándwich eran sólo en efectivo. Estamos familiarizados con la cadena pero no esta rama como es normalmente abarrotada; por suerte para nosotros, fue muy tranquilo. El café en Costa es igual suavidad y sabor con Caffe Nero, voy felizmente bebida tanto. Ambos tuvimos sándwiches tostados de jamón y queso, salchichas y cebolla caramelised. Ambos estaban deliciosos y no tan caro, sin lujos aunque te dan sólo el bocata rápido, sin ensalada sin ningún problema. Pasteles es generalmente bueno en Costa y esta rama no me decepcionó. Tuve la quebradiza de caramelo (un favorito mío, dándome conosseur estatus!) y fue la mejor que he comido en un tiempo (para superar Bettys manos gusto y tamaño de porción). Los chicos disfrutaron de su niño pasteles con caramelos y amable embargado de chocolate. El café estaba impecablemente limpio, el personal era amable y el mínimo tiempo de espera. Bill llegó a poco más de £19 para 4 bebidas, dos tostadas y 3 pasteles - bastante barato para los estándares de Nueva York.

Very nice coffee, friendly staff, clean, loads of seats, very good. My wife also enjoyed her tea. Toilets clean. What else can you say? I'd use this place again, no problems.

Esta costa está en una excelente ubicación frente a la entrada a los museos jardines. Es un lugar muy concurrido y yo diría que el personal puede mejorarse con limpiar las mesas. I mi poco mediante la entrega de una bandeja en la que sirve encimera - ¿por qué no puedo otras personas hacer esto? De todos modos, el personal fue muy amable y nos hicieron un buen café. Sin embargo, creo que el té gris temprano pedí en otra ocasión debe de haber sido una antigua bolsa de té, y el agua no estaba hirviendo, de ahí el té era horrible. No me molestaría pedir nada aquí, pero como norma tal vez Costa es no está preparado para hacer una mmmmmm taza de Dios
