Stayed at The Nags Head. NOT greeted by the owner. Was in room 5. No heating. Bed broken and the mattress had springs poking out. Reported the state of the bed to the cleaner because the landlady NEVER showed her face all the time we were there (4 nights). She didn't even show herself when we paid. She sent the cleaner to take the payment. Loud noises from 5am onwards. NOT a bed and breakfast. NO breakfast and NO food served in the pub. The stairs leading up to the rooms are actually fire escape stairs which are wobbly and rusty. So called dog friendly, only if you can carry your dog up the fire escape stairs. Very unsafe to walk up. Difficult to go up the stairs with a suitcase/holdall. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Find a more reputable place than this pub!!!

I wouldn't advise ordering any dish with the lamb shish kebab. I've had a few recently and the lamb is as tough as old boots, inedible, all sinew and veins. On a plus side the donner meat is excellent, the pizzas really good too, the lamb shish is best avoided though.

Staff friendly breakfasts here are variable from average to poor. Burnt sausages egg rock hard bacon an under done. They replaced it but sending really poor food out is trying it on and unacceptable really. Tables need cleaning and general feel was not like it used to be a few years ago.

Entró en el Greggs en el parque minorista aproximadamente 09:15 am. Nos acercamos al mostrador. Queríamos dos baguettes de salchichas y dos cafés con leche. El joven tomó nuestra orden, no fue muy atento, no preguntó si íbamos a llevar o comer, etc. Antes de que yo pudiera pagar, desapareció por detrás y luego regresó y dijo que no tenían baguettes y queríamos rollos en su lugar. We popped into Cafe at Morrisons have spot lunch while we visited our Daughter at University we went there was group of 5 myself wife and daughter and my in-laws.I cannot fault the food which was good edible tasty but service was poor. We ordered using new self Service machine which when we finished told us wait at table be served after ten minutes we where bellowed at by one most grumpy miserable looking women ever seen stating get up here get our drinks as where not bringing them to us. The waitress who brought food out was pleasant easy going lady but she was rushed off her feet and also shouted at by same women as we did. We finished meal left on way out used toilets and omg I’ve been involved in farming for my entire life have strong stomach but even I felt sick my mother in law was gagging at stench as well it smelled like not been cleaned in months stale urine smell so bad stung back of throat and eyes I actually couldn’t believe a supermarket chain has allowed toilets get so bad
