Brilliant tasty food. Restaurant has no licence (bring your own), but we enjoyed the excellent homemade mocktails. A real find, shame not local enough for a regular visit.

Brilliant to have Naz Spice on our doorstep now. One of the best Indian restaurants/takeaways in York and always a warm welcome from Naz.

Only takeaway in York that will turn up at your door and demand more money off you after you've already paid on just eat. When I left a review on just eat complaining about this they claimed to have rang me and that I agreed to the charge, this is a blatant lie. I never would have agreed to this over the phone. The guy said they tried to ring me but couldn't. They delivered food and demanded more money from me after I already paid. However I can't change my review on just eat to respond to this lie. Don't recommend eating with these crooks, there are plenty of takeaways available that won't do this.

Amazing food, amazing friendly and professional service. Great selection for vegetarians and amazing communication. Only ever had takeout but amazing. Highly recommend the vegetable madras. Thank you to all the staff including the super delivery guy. Have a great day! =)

Accept an order then call to add an additional extortionate delivery charge before they will agree to deliver your food… despite already paying a delivery charge via Just Eat! Check their small print before you order as it’s a wait for a refund! No idea what the food is actually like as £8 for delivery less than 5 miles away on a rather large order is a joke.

Brilliant service , delivered to Stamford Bridge for us by lovely driver , Was the best takeaway I think we’ve had in years .

They will take your money, instantly cancel the order, and then you have to wait a week to get your money back. If you can take my money so quickly, why does it take you so long to return it? Absolute scam.

Delivery was quick, the prawn puree was very good, the curry was excellent but the nicest thing was the Naan bread.... really soft and fresh; i could have just eaten 4 of thoses and been satisfied. The chicken and prawns were fresh and good quality; a lot of other places we've been to use fatty offcuts and the prawns are often a little tough. Would definitely recommend and will go back

AMAZING! Two months on from past orders and 'Naz Spice' never fails to please. This take-away is amazing and the staff are so accommodating. I have tried something different each time (well nearly), and my pallet has enjoyed each one. The portion sizes are great. I nibble through the evening and have been known to eat it cold for breakfast - yes, that nice! My husband has had the kebab special and normal donner kebab. He is now a convert to Indian kebabs. Give them a go an you will soon have their number on speed dial.

Unfortunately I was left a little disappointed, I ordered a butter chicken curry with chips and rice. I got a chicken tikka bhuna and I don't like spicy food. And by the time it was delivered it was too late to call the restaurant. Otherwise the food arrived nice and warm.

Probably the worst Indian food I've ever had. The Onion Bhaji's were two (not four as pictured) nasty flat greasy patties with no taste. The Chicken has never been within a mile of a Tandoor oven. I could describe the rest, but best that I don't. All in the bin and sadly now eating beans on toast.

Had a fantastic meal delivered to us while my wife and I were staying at York Caravan Park. We order via Justeat (hadn't used it before as we don't have the facility where we live). Expected a 40-50 min wait and within 15mins I had a call from Naz Spice to say it was on its way! Fantastic flavoursome food and brilliant friendly customer service.

Advertise as delivery option on just eat but then call and add £10 delivery.

Ordered via Deliveroo, korma was good but that’s it. Chips practically raw, madras and rhogan literally flavourless no spice whatsoever, and food so poorly packaged half of it was all mixed together in the bottom of the bag. AVOID

I hardly write review but today I have to coz I'm hangry now.Wouldn't recommend. Staff are extremely rude to their customers. Ordered on JustEat this evening, awaited delivery until 19:00  as agreed on the App to then find out they called my number provided on JustEat that I have to pay £15 extra delivery charge. Why dont they clear this things on their website. I won't have wait for them.

Really delicious Indian with a good range of curries and excellent naan breads. Food usually arrives in good time, and the staff are friendly.

Absolutely beautiful food, second to none, but even though it said free rice etc we received nothing, disappointed as could not get through to complain...

Very expensive. Portion sizes absolutely terrible for the price and the bloke on the phone was either having a bad day or he's just always rude to his customers. Paid £8.50 for a 'lamb kebab roll', basically a few tiny pieces of lamb in a naan. £10.50 for some watery curry sauce with a few peices of chicken in it. No extras with these 'meals' that's literally just it. Rating 2 stars because the lamb kebab roll was really nice, just a big shame it was a children's portion.

Delicious king prawn rogan and rice 😊 enough for 2 people , nice crispy popadoms and a dip , plenty of prawns really nice, nice delivery person as well

As visitors to York this was our first take away from Naz Spice, but we shall order from here again when we return. We had a mid week special, poppadum's with pickle tray, onion bhaji and vegetable pakora starters, Chicken Madras, Prawn Bhuna, Egg Rice and Naan, all for £20 and delivered to our camp site very quickly. The food was delicious and portions were more than ample.

The worst Indian ever in my life!! It took 15 minutes to get here but it wasn’t done right the food was disgusting stay well clear I would put -10 stars if I could was absolutely rubbish, we put it all in the bin and we rang up and we told them and they said We can’t please everybody there attitude was rude and was something like there food disgusting🤮.

Possibly the worst food I have ever had as a takeaway. Burnt poppadoms which were literally orange and black, 3 prawns in the king prawn puree and if they were king prawns I'm the king of Europe, soggy flat tiny onion frisbees masquerading as bhajis, beige/brown sauce which was off and to top it all two black hairs in the kebab wrap. Bloody awful. Avoid. Got photos if anyone wants them, they will be on tripadvisor anyway.

Ordered on JustEat this evening, awaited delivery until 8:45 as agreed on the App to then find out the order has been cancelled. They called my number provided on JustEat which was old (whoever I spoke to on the phone said it rung and went to voicemail and they waited for a call back - that phone hasn’t been active since 2016) the main reason the order was cancelled was because it was a 14mile drive (I checked it’s 9) and they want to charge an additional £10 for this. If this was on the app I would’ve paid for it there and then, but instead of keeping a new client why not deliver the food and explain the charge and I would’ve happily paid it there and then or even state they would put it on a next order.. instead, they lost a new client because they were worrying about what would probably cost £3.80 in fuel there and back unless they’re delivering food in an AMG or similar...

Ordered the deluxe thali with high expectations and specifically asked for 'mild'. The lamb bhuna was lovely but unfortunately the other three dishes all just chicken ( were very similar in taste) and the vegetable dish were too hot for me to eat. 😣

Dios mío, estoy tan impresionado de que la comida sepa a comida india fresca y adecuada como solíamos disfrutar. gracias naz spice no hay vuelta atrás ahora! ¡Lo amamos!

Staying in york & wasn't too sure where to go for good food! Tried this little diamond of a takeaway & it didn't disappoint... The food turned up hot & delicious! Will definitely use them again next time we're here!! A definite 5 ⭐

Exceptional Indian Takeaway. I've ordered from them four times since we have been locked down and the food has been consistently excellent. Delivery times have also been very good, too. I would fully recommend them.

had to give 1 star, wouldn't let me do zero.....will NEVER order from them again. my order came to £10.50, I paid £13.00 for delivery and service charge, then I got a call saying I'd have to pay the delivery guy another £2.00 for delivery......so much for no contact and thanks for ripping me off......i wouldn't use them if I were you

We've just shared 4 delicious curries from Naz - first Indian takeaway for a while - and really enjoyed them. The lamb and chicken were tender, the veg biryani was delicious, the sag aloo very tasty and the hot madras was ... well ... hot - be warned! It was ready and waiting for us when we turned up and we were served with a smile. We definitely won't leave it so long before our next one. Thanks!

This is the first time I've ordered. Without a doubt the best experience ever, right from the initial call, when my order was read back to me to make sure it was right, to the delivery. Food is amazing, not greasy at all!! Would absolutely order from here again. Staff and food are amazing. Ive ordered from Raj before and they need to be retrained in their customer service skills and the quality of their food. Im so pleased I had this menu put through my letter box. I will so be ordering again

Vile!!! Worst curry iv ever had I usually orderr with japur spice but seen as they got a bad review though I'd order with naz spice as the reviews were all good, a lamb buna curry and tikka starter later and I was poorly for 2 days with sickness and dioreah! Would not recommend knew there was something wrong with it while I eat it wish I never now! Wont be ordering with them again!!!! Even tho the delivery was fast it doesnt make up for the awfull curry or the 2 days that I was I'll!

Shocking and never again. I love my Indian food, and as everyone knows it doesn't come cheap. However, tonight myself and the wife spent over £30 on a meal for ourselves and the kids, to be presented with what looked like prison food. In all my days I have NEVER seen a korma that would go through a sieve like water. The Korma was like water and I managed to count 2 prawns floating on top. The Naan was under cooked and was like dough. The chips were so greasy and soggy they didn't look like they had been freshly cooked. On Just-Eat, when placing the order for the main meal, there was also no choice for rice or naan to go with the meal, and at over £7.50 you would assume this came included. Clearly not as ours turned up with no rice. I called the place up and was passed onto the manager who wanted to offer me a replacement????? How on gods earth does that resolve anything? You want to replace cold, soggy, watery food with what - The opposite, because that's what I would expect from the start for over £30.00. Hand on heart, the food didn't get touched, it sat on the kitchen side while I went out to collect from another takeaway. One thing I will say - delivery was very fast. But I would expect this when the food looked like it had gone through a microwave. I'm not a typical 1 star critic - you deserve at least 2 stars for fast delivery, and the manager did sound like he wanted to help. But as soon as my food turns up looking like water and cold, all trust has gone, I'm sorry.

I've been ordering Indian food from naz spice for years, never had a bad meal from them. I have tried most of the other Indians in york & not one has come close to the quality & flavour of naz spice. So if you want top quality food & service Naz spice is the one.

We ordered our food through Just Eat to be delivered at 8.30 on a Monday evening ..we called them at 8.45 to ask politely what time our food was going to be arriving only to be sworn at by the Gentleman that answered the phone ..We have in the past used Nas spice on many occasions but wont use them again after been sworn at ...

Beautiful lamb tikka clay oven baked

The worst ever Indian I have ever had .ordered a chicken Tikka - was hardly any meat and the chicken that we did find hiding in the sauce was.almoat inedible - just found the hygene rating given in January as a 1 out of 5. Fingers crossed I'm not up in the night 👎😱

Rubbish. Gone down hill since changed to naz. Used to be ran by a lovely lady that did good curry. Tried twice since its been naz and its terrible. Just sloppy sauce with absolutely nothing in it.

Tuvimos una comida de este lugar anoche y fue realmente patético. Muy poco sabor y aproximadamente cinco pedazos de pollo seco en cada comida. Han tenido comidas mucho mejores en los supermercados y en 17. 50 para 2 comidas sin extras, hubiera esperado algo mejor. Al verificar ver las opiniones de otras personas, descubrí que tenían la misma opinión. Ojalá hubiera comprobado antes, pero fue recomendado por un amigo. Además, la calificación de higiene fue solo de 1 y si hubiera visto esto, ciertamente no habría tenido esta mala comida.

Despite ordering through Just Eat using our postcode we were phoned and told we would have to pay more for delivery upon arrival, we then got a second call to say it was actually even further and it was going to increase the cost of our meal by over 50% when we asked to cancel they said the food was already prepared, but delivery then took more than double the time it should which was confusing. We were visiting the area so we’d used Just Eat to ensure we were ordering from somewhere that would deliver to the rural location we were staying at. Food was mediocre and not worth the £8 delivery.

Wouldn't recommend. Staff are extremely rude to their customers and delivery drivers as I have seen this when I was in their ordering food. The food was swimming in grease, and the butter chicken was undercooked.

After being half an hour late I rang them and told it was with the driver. Rang again 20 minutes later and they denied all knowledge of the phone call and who I spoke to. I was told the food was still there waiting to be collected by the driver. Now nearly an hour late, still waiting for it! Would not use again.

Delicious food. In my opinion the best takeaway in town.

I love this takeaway, it's the best Indian in york, but I do however hate the fact that the delivery drivers female passenger was smoking while my food and probably other orders was in the vehicle, I am pregnant and do not want my food to be around cigarette smoke. I'm pretty sure that this isn't allowed as I also work in the food industry. I hope this changes as I would hate to order from anywhere else.

Only five small pieces of chicken in each of our dishes and after paying for delivery, they try and demand more money on our doorstep as they assumed our address was closer, despite having the post code all along.

Some of the best curry we've had. We often cook our own but when we want something different or we are in a rush, this is perfect! Great tasting sauces and breads and fast delivery! Highly recommended!
