Heworth Coffee House in York

£18 for a mixed up pile of sloppy ‘food’ let’s just say it’s ruined my morning and I will not be back. Not one to write a review but might as well waste some time since I’ve wasted my money.

Called here for a breakfast even though it was lunchtime but they do a all day breakfast, was a lovely surprise when the toast that came with it was full slices of toast and not cut into them silly triangles that everywhere else seems to do and plenty of food on the plate, really good value. They had a good choice on the menu too, I will definitely be calling there again 👍

I visited the Heworth Coffee House for a breakfast on a Saturday morning, and I enjoyed a very good breakfast. Very tasty food, friendly staff and quick service.

This is a little cafe in Heworth York that does a great trade with locals - it’s a bit out of the city centre but well worth the visit There is limited parking close by normally it’s for an hour max The staff are friendly and will mix and match from the menu if you want something different The prices are good for plain cooked food - we were there for breakfast twice on a week ! And will be back for more Wishing the owners and staff a great 2019 - keep up the good work !

I visited with a friend and her baby. Really excellent sandwiches and coffee. My friend had cake which she enjoyed. The food used is excellent quality and cooked really well. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Il be back.

Went to the Thai buffet night, a selection of salads for starters with soup available as well, and a range of curries for the main course, food was all top quality for a bargain £15.

Whenever we're in doubt for lunch we always pop in here always lovely staff and food is delightful! We love our local cafe xx

Visited here with a Livingsocial voucher for afternoon tea and it was fab! Lovely large coffees, great choice for sarnies, tray bake, victoria sandwich, scone and cupcakes - all delicious! Great little cafe that has more on offer as well (breakfasts looked nice) and such warm, friendly staff. Will return!

Went on livingsocial deal from the moment we came in the door we had a warm frendly welcome great food we had to take some home to have later will go again

The welcome was satisfactory but not particularly warm and friendly. However, I ordered a coffee and a mushroom and tomato omelette while waiting for a colleague. The drink came in a glass mug. It looked and tasted average. I heard the cook ask her colleague if she was to put cheese in the omelette - which I thought was a sign of inexperience as I thought all omelettes had cheese in... Maybe I'm wrong. It came with chips n a basic side salad, which was fine but to be honest I only wanted an omelette I guess I needed to have made that clear. There wasn't much taste to it. My colleague arrived and she ordered a drink and I had a hot chocolate. Again basic and nothing flash. I would say on a cold/wet day the drinks would warm you up and you can get warm for a while. A bit overpriced for the quality in my opinion.

Popped in here while my aunt was having her hair done. What a great find. Friendly staff warm atmosphere. I had the sausage sandwich, freshly cooked to order in front of your eyes. This is a wonderful family run place. Excellent value for money and I will certainly be calling in again.

How lucky are we in Heworth to have a super local cafe, well worth a visit for breakfast, tea & cake or a quick expresso.

Went for breakfast 2 adults 1child , great value tasty breakfast a hidden gem on the outskirts of york . Adapted the menu to our taste with no problem , great service, only one negative, no fresh fruit juice but was assured that they may get some in the future.

Just had a great all day breakfast here, very tasty and good service. Looking forward to going back soon and trying the homemade ice cream which looked lush.

Had breakfast here this morning with friends, would highly recommend... Clean place and a nice friendly atmosphere. Would come again!

There is a straigtforward menu of soups sandwiches and cakes. Just okay if you need a quick lunch. Staff work hard.

Try to pop in here on the most flimsy excuse if I'm anywhere near! Great simple well presented food in a nice cheery clean and pleasant cafe. Love it. Value and quality cannot be beaten! My favourite cafe.

Family atmosphere, relaxed and beautiful chocolate cake. Freshly prepared food off a simple and reasonably priced menu. Proprietor could not have been more attentive. Try to bag the comfortable sofas at the front of this Coffee House. I don't know how long this business has been in operation, but it deserves to succeed!
