Service was quick and friendly. Food was really good.

Our server Ella-Rose was amazing and great with my partner’s allergens- she was also just genuinely lovely! The food was great too, but the service was definitely the best thing! Only thing I’d say is they should have a sign outside saying that the gluten free waffle machines are out of order, but other than that everything was amazing!

I visited this place once with my children and despite the nice interior and tasty desserts, we noticed an unpleasant atmosphere due to the service. They would obviously prefer not to have children in their restaurant. I recommend this place only for adults. If you take children, be careful.

As usual Mia is a superstar, lucky to have her as an employee...

The cutest dessert place ever. A big menu of options for every one. Try the pistachio croffle with banana ice cream. Milkshakes are big enough to share. And the lychee spritzer is a 5/5!

Stunning as always! we come here every time we visit york. The staff were visibly very busy but all had a smile on their face and able to spare a little conversation to make it personal, shout out to Loverage who were so lovely and helpful, very friendly chap and never stopped! keep up the excellent work!

Loverage, our server, was absolutely lovely all evening, took great care when taking our order and while serving a large group of 14 people:)) the atmosphere and the food live up to the name, it most certainly is heavenly

Ordered two pudding, food was amazing but let down by one coming out after around 30 mins of waiting and the other not coming out until I told the waitress, she apologised and we could clearly see she was run of her feet appeared to be the only person serving. I had finished my pudding by the time my husbands came out so was very disappointing

I regret to inform you that our experience at Heavenly Dessert in York was far from heavenly. We chose this establishment to celebrate our special day, only to be sorely disappointed. After being seated, we waited patiently for 20-25 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. Frustrated and dismayed, we decided to leave without even having the chance to order. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction to one of the staff members, their response was dismissive and cold, adding insult to injury. It's disheartening when a supposedly enjoyable occasion turns into a disappointing ordeal due to poor service and lack of empathy from the staff. We certainly won't be returning, and we can't recommend Heavenly Dessert to others based on this experience.

We got the sticky toffee pudding and monkey bread and it was delicious! The atmosphere is great and our server Louise was fantastic, super attentive, kind and knowledgeable! She deserves a raise👏👏

My bridal party and I went to heavenly desserts for our desserts after a morning of sightseeing in York and couldn’t wait! However, when we got there (there were 6 of us) they sat us on a table that seated 2 and pulled extra chairs into the corners of the table when a couple had come after us and were seated in a 6 person booth. After that we ordered food which was lovely but they didn’t give us our hot drinks with the food. We asked 3 times for this and had finished the food by the chance we received our drinks. They then brought the wrong drinks with milk pots for the tea that hadn’t been washed so were full of chocolate from the last customer. This experience did dampen the mood on an otherwise lovely hen weekend. Heavenly desserts is okay for sweet food but I wouldn’t celebrate any sort of special occasion there again.

We were served by Jannah, she was very welcoming and helpful. Food was good.

Had a lovely evening - Lizzie was amazing and very helpful, despite having some difficult customers to deal with at another table. Great food and a great atmosphere!

We had the deserts Tapas and they were not little portions at all! We shared some mochi too and the food was fabulous, 10/10 flavours and service. Adam was super helpful and a friendly face, making the rounds looking after everyone, on a seemingly busy Sunday evening. Lovely experience and very nice food. Would definitely come again.

Can't speak highly enough about Adam that served us, he was very attentive not just with us but with every table we saw him at. Any issues were addressed almost instantly and made us feel comfortable and welcome.

We went for restaurant week, and while the food was overall good and the servers (Mia and Lizzie) were lovely, everything was a little spoiled by how obviously understaffed it was — the food was allegedly bottomless dessert tapas but in our 90 minutes I was only able to order twice. Think this may be in part due to the lack of booking services :/ Only two girls for the whole (packed!!) restaurant was pretty shameful, especially as they were so sweet. Also, atmosphere made awkward by one of the girls getting shouted at behind us at one point by presumably management due to not sorting a table fast enough (?). Can’t say I’m in a hurry to sit through that meal out again, unfortunately.

Do yourself a favor and make a point to get in here for some sweet treats! We found this haven after a disastrous dinner experience in town and were trying to salvage our first day in town. We ordered the bueno crunch waffle and a few items with the sampler options. Everything was super tasty (albeit sweet), so don't act surprised. You can order at the counter for takeaway or wait for a table to be served. We were able to be seated immediately ona weekday with no booking for a party of 2. You can order via code or wait for a server.

Disappointing experience, I think my expectations were somewhat higher. Although we were seated quite quickly, the table wasn't properly set with missing cutlery and one of the menus we were given was missing pages. We placed our orders about 10 minutes after being given the menu, only to be told the items we wanted were both out of stock. When we did place the orders, we waited about 20 minutes before waiter returned asking us to remind them of our orders. Not the most professional first impression. When we eventually got the food, it was alright. I think it wasn't the quality I was expecting given the price, but it was passable; ice cream was melted and was quite low quality. When paying there was a lot of faffing with the payment machine to split the bill, I guess we had some staff who were new. Nothing singularly about the visit was disastrous, but overall I've unfortunately been left with a fairly negative impression. I hope to give it another go sometime soon, I think we were unlucky this time.

Heavenly vegan crumble and custard. Love vegan menu as it is so varied. Wasn't aware of the choices Taken care by Donna. Double glasses are cute for teas etc.

Wanted to try this place for ages, it didn't disappoint. Was always wary as I was bringing a toddler so came on a quiet day but the staff were lovely especially Donna who was very helpful Food was very tasty. Kids menu is a good call and good value

Adam was very helpful and nice. He made some good food recommendations and also remembered whose order was whose. He provided great customer service to us all and we were a bigger group. Was engaging and came at good times to check on us and give orders or take new orders. Was very friendly.
