This place is so good that I went twice in my two days visitin York! Both times I had the Yorkshire breakfast that was delicious, especially the folded eggs that were exceptional and probably one of the best buttered bread I ever had. The second time I’ve also tried their carrot cake that was divine. Highly recommended and in a strategic position just opposite York Minster.

did bottomless brunch, taylor was serving us couldn't recommend more! consistently making sure we are topped up on drinks, service with a smile and proper down to earth, couldn't recommend more. food was also insane, tandoori chicken pizza is unreal highly recommend thank you to the chefs too!

I live in York went into town shopping Stopped off here as we wanted a drink , come in a lot for food etc , Went inside to the bar and was told its table service only Ok not a problem but that was for outside , one problem no tables , looked inside there was plenty empty … one problem again Can only sit there if you order food I don’t know if this was because it’s Christmas Market month But what I do know is I won’t be giving you my custom in January or any other month now when trade goes quiet you need locals and tourists alike to keep your trade

Booked a suite for my husbands 40th and it was beautiful. The staff had left a little note with chocolates to wish him a happy birthday which was a nice little touch. I chose the hotel initially because I wanted somewhere close to the restaurant we were eating at ( Melton's - also highly recommended!) but the location was perfect for exploring. Only a ten minute walk to the centre of York. This hotel is definitely top of my list for any future visits to York.

A delicious, inexpensive lunch, an excellent pot of tea, and quick, attentive, friendly service.

Only came for an evening milkshake and coffee but we did enjoy them and got given water for the table without asking! The atmosphere was a little off as we had drunken guys next to us who were incredibly loud which altered the experience. Would go back just to see if the day is any better as I have previously enjoyed my experience here and would’ve been a lot better without the guys next to us!

Went here with my friends, had a lovely dinner. Quality of the food is excellent and very generous portions! Highly recommend the belly pork, homemade lasagna and banoffee. Not too expensive for York standards.
