Nice service and drinks. Been here twice for Poppy Pout's Summer Sizzler shows..Always a great time here. Nice friendly pub.

Lovely venue, friendly staff, reasonable prices and plenty of parking just around the corner. Attended Poppy Pout Presents Summer Sizzler Burlesque Show. Wonderful evening with a great lineup hosted by the amazing Trixie Blue. Will definitely be back.

This was a really good old-school locals pub that I’ve been using for over 30 years, and it still could be, but they’ve taken away the very last low-level comfy seating with tables to make room for a pool table. Bad decision; it’s dragged your score well down.

Staff were fantastic and welcoming, food was amazing we had a schnitzel and an onion bhaji burger! we had a great evening will definitely be back !

Visited the Mount for the first time today and had a very enjoyable Sunday roast. The lady responsible for the food could not have done more to make us feel welcome and ensure that we enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return on our next visit to York 👍

Called in for a couple of drinks before races! Good atmosphere and friendly people

We always call in here when we visit York, it's not touristy at all and is a proper old fashioned boozer like our own local, Neck Oil on tap which is a bonus.

Came for the mount life Sunday session. Was a great day with an awesome atmosphere! Second Sunday of every month. DJ sets. Live music. Open mic slots. Was an all round great day!! Beer was definitely great and great deals on the shots!!

Good variety of beers with a decent price, ideal for an after work pint. Visitied this pub quite a few times in 2 weeks, and already after the 2nd time it felt like home, people are relaxed, pub is not too crowded. Merged with the pub is a great American style food joint which serves good pizzas, and burgers with great quality meat. Tomorrow will be my last day at this pub and I must admit it is the only thing I've bonded to in York. Thanks to Nicole, Ben and the crew for making us feel like home. Hope I will be welcome if I visit again in a few months :)

DOG FRIENDLY !!! Only one hand pump on, Pedigree but pretty good. Food menu looked ok but didn't try it this time. Sports on TV. Enjoyed our visit and if they'd had other ales would have stayed longer. Next time, thanks.

Visited on late may as a part of my British History and Heritage trial, I can truly say this pub is a masterpiece if you are looking for a classic english pub vibe. Good ales, nice staff and the food was very cheap and appealing....

The Mount Pub in York serves great food and drink. The drinks here are more affordable than most pubs in the area. The bar staff (especially Nicole) are very friendly and show an interest. I’d recommend this pub and restaurant in York 100%.
