Stopped by on Monday afternoon to enjoy 2 for 1 pizzas with a couple of drinks in the beer garden 😍 Pizzas were amazing and the team were lovely!

Stopped in here for a couple of pints after a gym session. Staff are friendly and service I quick. We went around 6pm on a Wednesday and managed to get a table though it did get a reserved table tent in it for a booking a couple of hours later so we'd have had to move if we wanted to stay. It's popular with the student crowd so if the sound of that puts you off go in the summer or the usual term holiday times (Christmas and Easter).

We did Bottomless Brunch for my partner's birthday on 09/03 and it was just an outstanding experience. The table was decorated (such a lovely touch) the staff were an absolute pleasure and the food was scrummy. The menu choices were fantastic and everyone commented how lovely the staff and service were. We will definitely be back - best B.Brunch we have done. Massive thank you!

Only popped in for a drink, atmosphere was good and service was excellent. If going by car don't use car park at rear its ridiculous price.

The staff were amazing and very friendly and attentive, food was great, and the pub was busy and had a great vibe.

had an absolutely gorgeous bottomless brunch!! the drinks kept coming, the food was great and our servers were fab! (georgie, jack and joe) the atmosphere was great and we had a lovely time!! <3 would recommend so much!! we had the margarita pizza and the veggie breakfast!

I called here on New Year's Day because I had to get out of Bradford. But I couldn't find a reasonable place to eat until I came to here. Sadly my Pizza was less exciting than its description on the menu, so I was disappointed. To be fair, this pub is more of a drinkers pub with Sports TV and pub games, so meals are not a priority. I think they made a good effort, but I will look elsewhere, when more places are open, than eat here again.

We came for bottomless brunch and had the best time! The food was amazing and the service was so fast! We were never without a drink and everyone was so friendly. Absolutely fantastic time! Huge shoutout to Joe, Georgie and Oli who made our time at Keystones so enjoyable!!

What an amazing little gem. Went for bottomless brunch last year with 3 of my friends and Taylor was by far the best waitress we have experienced whilst having a bottomless brunch. Attentive, swift and extremely friendly. We will certainly be back.

Nice pub good range of beers lager and IPAs

Absolute joke, me and my partner nipped in for a pint on our way back to our apartment, the place was busy and everyone was friendly ( so I thought ) two young girls were sitting at a table for eight so we asked if we could sit down? They told us that they were reserved for friends, so politely I asked if we could sit until there friends arrived then we would move, we were told very arrogantly no, I told the young girls that they we're being unreasonable so they went to the bar and complained, I was then asked to finish my pint and leave, as I tried to ask for a rational explanation for this the bar maid took my pint from me and asked to leave straight away and was lead to the door with a friendly shove in the back for good measure, What a horrible experience at the end of a brilliant day, Come to York, enjoy our historic atmosphere, just don't ask to sit down,

Huge beer garden with heat lamps and cover. Well stocked cheap bar, pool table. Generally a good atmosphere outside. Take your waders for the bogs though.

Taylor was absolutely fantastic, had a lovely bottomless brunch Great value and so much fun!

Go there for the speed quiz on a Thursday evening. Free to enter and a £50 tab to be won It's also craft and cocktail night with drinks at £3.50 Plenty of banter with the staff that run the quiz, and normally some sports on too 👍

Booked bottomless brunch with a melt burger. Absolutely delicious! Service was brilliant. Such a friendly environment. Great value too! Taylor the manager was fantastic, constantly checking if we needed more drinks, making our bottomless brunch experience incredible! Can’t wait to go back this week!

100% the best place for bottomless brunch in york, me and my friend decided on here over everywhere else as it has the most diverse food menu and the most diverse drinks menu. Taylor especially was amazing and definitely made our experience as worth while as possible. She’s the best🥰

nice wee find at the Monkbar side of town. Good value for money, got a pepperoni pizza,chips and a half pint for around £16. Food's ok, helpful service. Seems to draw a healthy pool of regulars (mosty 18-30s) but people of all ages welcome. Managed to a get a cheeky game of pool unopposed :)

Only had Drinks. Sadly couple of very cocky rude staff unessaserally spoilt part of the experience. Beer Garden atmosphere was great courtesy of a lively student clientele. Had already eaten elsewhere but the food looked 👌 great.

My friends and I celebrated a 21st birthday at keystones with a bottomless brunch. Food and drinks were incredible, but specifically Bethany made our experience 100x better. She was so attentive and friendly, would absolutely come back for another. Thanks again to all the staff for making our friends bday so special! Would confidently say keystones has the best bottomless in York, value for money, customer services and drinks were unreal. :) 10/10 experience

Brilliant beer garden, visited whilst up for work for 2 days.

We stopped by for a drink in the garden. The covid precautions were good, staff were friendly and efficient and the small garden was nice, although I can't comment on the inside of the pub.

The woman on the door is very abrupt, surprised they have any customers, I appreciate they have to stick to the ‘Covid regulations’ but there is no give or take with her, don’t waste your time if you haven’t booked, move on to the next, there are plenty of pubs in York!

Qué auténtica joya de pub es este. Bajo la estricta guía de COVID, una señora nos saludó calurosamente y nos aconsejó lo que debemos hacer para estar dentro de las pautas. Pedimos nuestras bebidas y Lola, nuestro golden retriever fue recibido instantáneamente con algunos "bocadillos de Scooby" y mucha atención. Dimos un paseo por el relajado jardín de cerveza donde fuimos recibidos por los lugareños y nuevamente, ¡Lola disfrutó del amor de los lugareños antes de ser recompensada con más bocadillos de Scooby y un refrescante tazón de agua!Buenas cervezas, excelente entorno y perfecta hospitalidad. . . es el primer pub al que volveremos cuando volvamos a York. !

Called in for a couple of pints of Peroni as we entered York.The beers very ice cold and we enjoyed our time watching the cricket in the high backed leather chairs before waking round the centre.We also called for another pint on the way back to the B&B.

I was really pleased to see they had quite a few vegan options. My daughter ordered the all day standard breakfast, my self the vegan one. After 30 minutes waiting I asked when it might arrive. A very apologetic lady said it wouldn’t be long and that they were waiting on one item. Five minutes later the breakfasts arrived. We can only assume the one item was beans as it was the only hot item on both our dishes. Toast, mushrooms and tomatoes were very cold and the other items barely warm. As we had a train to catch we didn’t complain and ate it as quickly as we could. It’s a shame the chef thought it ok to send it out without warming the rest of the items. Otherwise the food itself was very nice and would have been lovely had it been served hot.

Had the most wonderful meal here - good home cooking- generous portions and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Came here multiple times despite all the options in York. The staff are mint and the prices are cheap. The vibes are bang on and food is excellent. Always bringing my friends here when they come to visit. Great location. 3 minute walk from the city centre and great sports coverage. Couldn’t rave about this place enough

Unfortunately we only found this pub at the end of the day (Saturday early evening late July) or else we would have stayed here all day!Everything you could want under one roof - cheap drinks (my partner lives the two pint steins), good food (extensive menu), free chargers and charging facilities, secret DJ so you can control the music, free printing, board games, pool (bit pricey at £1.50), TV (mainly for Sports), arcade machines, beer garden, clean toilets, lovely friendly staff and a great atmosphere. It was fairly busy and we could only get a seat on the long wooden tables which worked out well as we got chatting to two other couples who sat on the end and we laughed all night! A great way to mingle! Will definitely be back next time we’re in York, but for a longer spell!

Love this pub. It’s my local and everyone is extremely friendly! Lots of activity’s and some history on your (pub door step) with the history of York’s famous walls around you! And a private silo (historic) it’s a great place to drink and have drunk (yet profound) conversation. Sophie is amazing bar staff, friendly and welcoming every time! (Plus I have my favourite tipple waiting before I even order) great place, great please great location! Highly recommend! (Also cheaper than most places near the centre of York) come and enjoy the historic view!

Visited The Keystones with some friends, good selection of beers, tasty food and a few games of pool to round off the night, would recommend!

Visit this pub regularly for something to eat and to play the speedquiz every Sunday. Staff are welcoming and helpful when answering questions about food and drinks due to dietary requirements. They also do a fantastic deal on 25p wings on a Wednesday. Always enjoy my visit!

Went into Keystones last Wednesday for wing Wednesday! I forgot how much I loved their wings!! Unbelievably tasty. I was greeted by lovely staff who helped me decide on what drink to have. I wasn't sure what I wanted and they helped explain to me all their different types. Had one of their Elvis drinks that was on tap and it was definitely the right choice! They were chatty, friendly and also very funny. My friends and I ended up playing pool for hours purely because of the fantastic atmosphere and staff! 10/10 would recommend

Waiting to meet a family friend and popped in! Lovely friendly atmosphere and friendly staff! Coffee is lovely and good value! The beer garden is a hidden treasure! Not been in for years but I will be back 👍🏻

A mix of amongst others, locals, students and sports fans and the regulars. They also have discounted guest ale/cider evenings on Thursday, regular sports fixtures, food specials and a quiz night. There is something for everyone so find out what is right for you, and ask for the MORE rewards card. On Monday... you can score double points!

We were served by Sophie and she was extremely welcoming and lovely from the start which really made our whole experience. The food came out very quickly and was delicious, would go back again :)

The meal we had was 'typical pub food' with an American slant. The chicken and chips gets a massive thumbs up from my 13 year old very disconcerting chicken conoisseur. I'm flexitarian and there is a lot of choice for vegans - jackfruit burgers, falafels, butterneut squash mac bake, all sorts. I went for the cauliflower wings which are awesome.

Sin duda mi pub favorito en York. El personal súper simpático, la música genial, además el diseño y la decoración es maravillosa. Tienen cervezas muy diferentes, recomendable probarlas todas!! La situación del pub es inmejorable, junto a una de las puertas de la muralla, perfecto para hacer una parada en mitad del recorrido y pasarse por allí :)

Soy un local y voy con frecuencia, pero el personal reciente ha arruinado el pub. Una señora llamada Sarah que trabaja allí era muy grosera y, para ser sincera, era el peor servicio al cliente que he experimentado. We called in here as our 4 month old was due a feed. Everywhere else in York nearer the city centre was packed as it was 1.30pm on a Saturday and the food and drink festival was on. It was quiet with only a handful of people in, it seemed a bit of a locals pub, and somewhere the uni students might start off a pub crawl on a night, it was very spacious especially round the bar.

Very poor food; unbelievable £6 for about 5 haloumi chips! Regular chips were frozen tourist food & soggy fish ugh

Really impressed with the refurb of this place, very up and coming, 5 great quirky alternating ales (currently Tiny Rebel) which are on a £3 deal on a Thursday, amazing! Staff are very friendly and great music (can request songs using an app called secret DJ). Definitely recommend if you’re wanting a comfortable yet quirky place to drink!

En oportunidad de haber visitado llamado Calle de Nueva York. John evitar llevó 20 minutos me dijeron nuestro pedido comida no podía ser completado ya no de patata. Luego más chaqueta 40 minutos para llegar. La comida estaba seco y sin sabor. Tomamos una copa como disculpa por retraso, pero en resumen es evitar a menos que solo quieras una bebida.

Tried this pub again as it had just had a refurb. Beer garden absolutely filthy, toilets stunk so bad made me feel sick. How hard is it to do basic cleaning?

Stayed in York for 4 days & visited this pub everyday, staff were excellent & made us feel really welcome, best pint of Estrella I have had in ages. Will definitely be back Gary

Poor drinks standard. Asked for gin and tonic payed £5 atleast for it and it came with the tonic (pre mixed in by the bar tender)using 45p tonic water you get at Tesco down the road ( I saw the bottle) and the wrong garnish. Probably the worst g and t I've had. The staff are absolutely lovely but the drinks standards are poor for the prices paid.

Waited 30 minutes for some dirty fries and a chicken wrap, no one else was eating. Food came out cold. We're promised a refund but had to wait 15 minutes as apparently they had a new card machine. Eventually had to have a cash refund.

I visited midweek and although it wasn't busy, there were an awful lot of boisterous/noisy youngsters.

Would recommend vegetarian breakfast, new refurb is what the place needed, put a lot of effort in to the new menu etc and should be recognised for it.

They have recently had a refurb which has made it look nicer. The food is ok, smaller portions than expected but tastes alright. A good place for students and reccommend getting a loyalty card to get extras.

Impresionante selección de bebidas, personal fantástico bar y hay un ambiente relajado! Es más como un estudiante pub al lado de York street Johns University, pero atrae a una variación de las edades. Así que los asiduos amable añade carácter y gran comida a precios razonables. Recomiendo encarecidamente si quieres relajarte y tener un chill sesh con la familia y amigos!
