The best restaurants in Wakefield Rural Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Visited here with family off the back of a recommendation and we wasn’t disappointed. The food here is fabulous & I would say the best Italian I’ve visited in the UK. The prices are very good too with plenty of choices. Well worth a visit you’ll not regret it.

Dear all, Might be long here and it will worth your time. I’m please you are reading my review which is needed to know before you make your decision to visit. I am saying everything in my honest directly from my heart to Hidden. Over months I have driven passing this site in my Lorry and seeing something fancy inside I wonder what would it be. My mind keeps telling myself that I MUST visit as soon as possible. Yesterday I put my money where my mouth is, eventually, I went to Hidden Cafe after touring in Coal Mine Museum nearby as a solo person like a Lone Wolf. In that night of being as customer. Environment inside is so beautiful making my mind going to Shangri La. Whether it is an cafe or an mini restaurant or an bar or all of them! Doesn’t really matter because this urban place is an low key place in all set reasons of visiting. Even pop in for a ten minute drink with your friend. I had an well cooked golden pizza with three buns of garlic bread and an posh red wine in addition to my meal. An ace to the young marvellous chef called Milly. Both of the waitress are lovely and welcoming. Sharing stories and our conversations went up to joy and equally. Just like playing tennis. We speak a few lines and wait for the reply or respond instead of holding the ball for too long. We talked all sort of topics. Music, career, families, prologue, hobbies, future and more. Taking yard by yard. Life goes on. Another to mention, their music in the background is smooth, correct volume and matching to the room of relaxing. Somebody could say, ‘To the stars’. Nice little place ,Food a little bland .

We got two pizzas, one Nudja and pepperoni and one double pepperoni. The Nudja one was nice but the double pepperoni… toppings were hanging on by a thread and dough felt undercooked . I wouldn’t recommend. u couldn’t even put the pizza in ur my mouth before all toppings including cheese fell off.

Brilliant and mostly free. Even the underground tour is only 8 quid. The on site cafe is one of the best I've tried.

Really good fish and chips from the grumpy fryer! no grumpy service however, everyone is very pleasant and helpful. good value and worth a visit.

Lovely staff from start to finish food amazing very large portion of curry could not fault it will be going back very soon

Love the Seed room Lovely food and cakes. Service always good. Garden centre is well worth a look round too, much cheaper than the big chains

What can I say, absolutely amazing. Linda is an artist. Our wedding cake was the most amazing cake I could have dreamed of. Our guests wouldn't stop taking photographs of it and it was divine. Each layer perfect. I sent Linda a photo for inspiration, the cake of dreams... the one she made was 100 times better, more beautiful and tasted amazing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Professional and incredibly talented. Thank you for literally the icing on my perfect day

Food was nice and hot and pizza made with less cheese how I asked for. Will definitely order from here again..
