The best restaurants in Wakefield Rural Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Visited here with family off the back of a recommendation and we wasn’t disappointed. The food here is fabulous & I would say the best Italian I’ve visited in the UK. The prices are very good too with plenty of choices. Well worth a visit you’ll not regret it.

Dear all, Might be long here and it will worth your time. I’m please you are reading my review which is needed to know before you make your decision to visit. I am saying everything in my honest directly from my heart to Hidden. Over months I have driven passing this site in my Lorry and seeing something fancy inside I wonder what would it be. My mind keeps telling myself that I MUST visit as soon as possible. Yesterday I put my money where my mouth is, eventually, I went to Hidden Cafe after touring in Coal Mine Museum nearby as a solo person like a Lone Wolf. In that night of being as customer. Environment inside is so beautiful making my mind going to Shangri La. Whether it is an cafe or an mini restaurant or an bar or all of them! Doesn’t really matter because this urban place is an low key place in all set reasons of visiting. Even pop in for a ten minute drink with your friend. I had an well cooked golden pizza with three buns of garlic bread and an posh red wine in addition to my meal. An ace to the young marvellous chef called Milly. Both of the waitress are lovely and welcoming. Sharing stories and our conversations went up to joy and equally. Just like playing tennis. We speak a few lines and wait for the reply or respond instead of holding the ball for too long. We talked all sort of topics. Music, career, families, prologue, hobbies, future and more. Taking yard by yard. Life goes on. Another to mention, their music in the background is smooth, correct volume and matching to the room of relaxing. Somebody could say, ‘To the stars’. gorgeous food and service every time

Had a great trip to the national coal mining museum. Unfortunately the mine tour was closed for maintenance but the alternative tunnel tour was good. Kids enjoyed the park and the horses. 5 stars, will visit again.

Gorgeous traditional English fish and chips. The service is really friendly and warm, and portion sizes are great.

First time eating here, I went with my mum & sister Mum is in a wheelchair and they couldn’t help her any more than they did !! Their customer service is amazing, their service is fantastic and their food is gorgeous (good size portions and tasty) We will definitely be going again Highly recommend a visit

This is such a turnaround from our last visit! Unfortunately we were too late for breakfast... but the rest of the menu offering is really limited. We ended up with jacket potatoes which cost £9.80. This might have been forgivable if the rest of what was on the plate has been edible.... but the purple slop which we assumed was coleslaw and the beautiful fresh salad drowned in vinegar definitely was not edible. We won't be going back! ----------------------------------------------------------------- We really enjoyed our quick visit for breakfast. We were able to pick and mix off the "extras" list - we both got egg and hash brown on one slice of toast and an extra slice of toast with preserve, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was really nice to get what we wanted with very pleasant and efficient service in a light airy space. Would fully recommend.

Nice little pub and not over priced

What can I say, absolutely amazing. Linda is an artist. Our wedding cake was the most amazing cake I could have dreamed of. Our guests wouldn't stop taking photographs of it and it was divine. Each layer perfect. I sent Linda a photo for inspiration, the cake of dreams... the one she made was 100 times better, more beautiful and tasted amazing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Professional and incredibly talented. Thank you for literally the icing on my perfect day

Although a wonderful place in terms of ambience and atmosphere , the food leaves a lot to be desired. Had thai green crispy cauliflower today which wasnt presented well and i just couldnt eat it.

Chicken parmo ! Banging ! Really enjoyed 10/10 will definitley be going back for another ! Lots of happy customers that day

Under cooked bacon missing egg cheap coffee and brown sauce won't be going again thats for sure and to top it off was waiting 25 mins for undercooked rubbish

I just love the domino's here...The pizza is so so fresh. Its lovely and the staff are really great as well
