Would love to leave a review of the food but unfortunately service was that slow that we ended up leaving without eating. As the bar was very quiet when we arrived (only about 4-5 other tables there) I thought we would get our food quickly. However after being there 30+ minutes there was still no sign of our food and another table that had arrived before us was also complaining that they still didn’t have their food. We ended up leaving and would be very reluctant to go back.

We went last night with a group of ten and it was lovely!
Food was great and the service was fantastic.
We will definitely be going back.
Highly recommended by all of us who went.
Kind and Considerate – Thank You Pepe Batley!
I just want to say a big thank you to the staff at Pepe Batley for showing genuine kindness and understanding. My 4-year-old daughter urgently needed the toilet, and even though we hadn’t bought anything, they didn’t hesitate to let her use their facilities.
It might seem like a small thing, but as a parent, it means a lot when a business puts people before profit. Their compassion really stood out – especially compared to other places nearby.
We’ll definitely be coming back, not just because of their food, but because they showed they actually care about their community. Highly recommend!
Came as part of a large party of about 40 for my partners work event- the service was really good and the staff were very friendly and organised.
The starters were ok- lacking flavour slightly but were hot and fresh. My parkoras were a bit oily but they were edible.
The second course (I had vindaloo) was lovely, piping hot and fresh sauce that had a good amount of heat. Some restaurant vindaloos can be a lacking in spice but this was perfect. Good portion size and the mint sauce was lovely
Would come back again
I have been visiting the R&A on a weekly basis for 10 months now so felt it time for a review. Sunday lunch there is a superb experience. Beautifully prepared food from a varied menu and served by a warm, friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. The fact that you usually need to book a table a couple of weeks in advance speaks volumes for the quality. Thoroughly recommended
Didn't enjoy the food apart from noodles
Won ton had no filling
Salt and pepper had no spices to it
Definitely not fresh meals starter size are very small
Dreadful, waited 45 mins were promised we'd be seated soon which we were. Then waited another 45 minutes. We walked out. Wouldn't come back if you paid us.
Myself & a few friends had been out walking around Digley res this weekend.
On our way home we thought we’d stop for a well deserved pint & some lunch.
The sign outside said Dogs welcome so in we all went.
As soon as we entered we realised that not only our dogs weren’t welcome but neither were we.
The owner/manager (a very rude, arrogant, little man) turned his nose up at us the moment we entered.
We left. This place is a poor reflection on Holmfirth. Shame really as the place itself is beautiful.

You might think a bakery will have cakes and biscuits but this place does much more. Their milkshakes are probably the best around and so are their paninis. Don’t be confused by the name.
