The vegetable curry was lovely but my only complaint is that the chips taste like they are a day old and reheated

Was rather quiet when we visited which detracted from the buzz. Bring your own booze is nice. Food was pleasant.

we ate here one Friday night at 8.00pm , free car park over the road , unconventional website didn't make it clear it was unlicensed. we were greeted and shown to our table and that was the first and last interaction with any of the staff outside of ordering our food. supermarket poppadoms ( one each ) and three watered down dips. The mixed starter was a little on the small side but tasted good. The chapattis were shop bought and a huge let down , but the chicken tikka bhuna curry was really tasty . We were left to sit for 20 minutes after the table was cleared until the bill was plonked on the table , no interaction at all ? we got up , payed and left , nothing was said to us at all. we left at 9.30 pm and the place was packed so they must be pleasing a lot of people . The bill (no drinks) for 3 people was £57 , maybe they trade on being a cheaper meal out.

I had chicken korma and it was beautiful

Went here on a the off chance as we were in the area. The place was really quiet. Poppadoms were fresh. However, the dips mango chutney, yogurt and mint were very watery. I ordered the lamb balti rajistani. I wasn't disappointed, very nice 👌🏽 full of flavour, a little bit of heat from the fresh green chillies

Had the miss fortune to visit this evening Naan under cooked Curry bland not a lot of chicken Chips late Rice good £20 bill Didn’t want confrontation normally would complain Not asked during meal if everything ok When asked for bill said food and service not satisfactory left most of it owners son Said I’m sorry to hear that and proceeded to pass me card machine full payment When this restaurant was round corner was the best in Mirfield Please someone open a good unlicensed curry house in Mirfield Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid Never will go there again Too expensive and poor attitude look at photos that’s what I left and still no reaction from owners son

Simply the best curry house I've ever been to and I've been to alot

Ordered from here for the first time last night and to be honest it was a disappointing meal. The portion size was small, the curry chicken kariah (I think that's what it was cold) was lacking flavour and had absolutely no spice or seasoning. It tasted like boiled chicken thrown into water with a bit of veg. I asked for it to be medium to hot spiced and it didn't even have any spice to it at all very bland and just overall tasteless in my opinion. Chapaties that came with the meal were quite small compared to other places they were like mini chapatis. Popadums were okay just standard really. Best I can give it is 2 stars

Tasty curry, staff great. Best curry I've had in years. Had Chicken Bhuna and it was gorgeous. My son had Lamb Vindaloo and said it was great. Chef came to talk to us before he cooked it, very friendly and accommodating.

Food so tasty , it's strange I live near Manchester and lived in Yorkshire the food is so different. However its so tasty offers all we need and the restaurant is inclusive having one of the only inclusive toilets in the area

Definitely the place to go for a great Indian curry. Very reasonably priced and meals always served to a consistent high level.

Starters , quality and main courses quality, perfect quantity and consistency very nice meal for a very acceptable price , if I may just add a negative ..the route to the toilets is in need of a bit if attention , step carpet and skirting boards could do with a bit of TLC . Apart from that the night was top notch ..Food & Staff ..10 out of 10 ....

I’ve just had a takeaway from here tonight for the first time and it was superb. Smaller portions than usual but I ate everything. I’ll definitely try them again.

Was a busy night for them but they seemed very unorganised. Food was nice and hot .staff was polite but we're we was put to sit felt like we was in the naughty corner .need brighter lighting.

Popped in for a quick curry on the way home. Mixed Starter was excellent. Followed by a Lamb Madras which was also excellent. Full of flavour, highly recommended

So good to visit Albawab again. The food was excellent as usual.

First time getting takeaway from here, so I don't know if this is normal or just the start of businesses starting to save money due to the upcoming difficult economic climate. The dishes came in the small containers even though it was the same price as dining in. The dishes were ok, but nothing special and in some cases a little bland. The garlic naan bread didn't seem fresh or fully cooked and had raw garlic and still cold butter spread on top. Overall very disappointed.

Never normally leave a bad review but my entire meal has gone in the bin. Chicken so gristly it’s stuck in my teeth, cold chips, half the order was wrong. Just rung establishment to say I will never order from them again. Have done for years but never again absolutely vile! Asda smart price would have been a 10 out of 10 compared to that. Not sure what went on. Awful awful awful

Aside from the food being tasty, the staff here are all so friendly, attentive and polite.

Five of us visited Al-nawab last night and all our meals were delicious, well-cooked, well-spiced,there was so much choice! Mango naan and crispy mushrooms were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, super-polite service and the final bill was really reasonable. We will definitely all be back!

Was really looking forward to a nice Indian and I am sorry to say I was let down . Soft soggy popadoms undercooked Nan bread and curries that lacked flavour.

Food was nice. Not somewhere I'd return to by choice, only by invite. In my opinion, for a banging curry you go where the Asians go.

We are regular visitors to Al-Nawab. We have introduced many friends and family who have all become regular visitor also. Consistent fantastic service, the staff are all very friendly and ready to help. The best curries in our area, from great meat dishes to fab veggie options for my partner.

We’ve had takeaways from here several times when visiting our family in Mirfield. The flavours and textures are really nice. The portion sizes are generous, too. And the prices are very reasonable. It’s certainly my Indian takeaway of choice in the Mirfield area.

Avoid if you want the food in less than 2hrs!! Placed order and paid upfront over the phone. Big mistake! Told would be an hour. After an 1hr 45mins I decided to check up. "We are waiting for the driver", guy on the phone was not bothered in the slightest, obviously got the money so didn't care!! Driver arrived at the restaurant whilst on the call, so should've been here 5-10mins. It's just downright greedy, if they are too busy, they shouldn't take more orders. AVOID!!

Simply superb. Clean, nice surroundings, excellent food, value for money but mostly terrific staff.

Haven't had a takeaway in ages so we worried if Al Nawab we still up to it's previous high standard. Needed not have worried the food was excellent. Going back for more next week. Highly recommended.

We ordered our food at 5:07PM and it arrived by 5:30PM! The food was piping hot and can tell it was freshly made. The mild lamb keema and medium chicken masala were both delicious. The portions were very large too. Great value for money.

Not nice curry at all it was disgusting had plenty of currys this was far bar the worst I've had undercooked and over cooked and over spiced never sent a takeaway back ever this is the first time ever.

My wife and I have just had a lovely takeaway from this restaurant, due to covid we could only have a takeaway, but the meal was just as nice as if we had been in the restaurant, the food was plentiful, tasteful and down right lovely. Thank you for an excellent meal.

Lovely night out. Food was excellent and nicely timed. No rushing you along. All covid regulations were being observed. Will be going again, as soon as we can.

Special mixed starter was delicious, served on a skillet with plenty of fried onion. Curries are very tasty and can be customised to suit your palette. Prices are reasonable but have gone up slightly recently and also a bonus that you can take your own drinks and alcohol

Fantastic evening. At first glance the menu doesn't look much but the majority of main courses are the flavours & spices then you choose the meat, fish or vegetable to go with them. Our food was fantastic, tasty but not overly hot. The restaurant isn't licenced but there's no charge to take in your own drinks and they provide the glasses. Looking forward to going back.

Had a takeaway from Al Nawab for VE Day, excellent food as always with takeaway as closed for eating in due to Covid 19. Highly recommended & in our case quick delivery.

Had my first curry from here last night. Best I've ever had

Last week we had an excellent takeaway from Al Nawab. Had it been the same this week I would have given it 5/5. However, this week it barely scored a 1/5. We chose two completely different dishes from the menu, one spicy and one mild. When they were delivered they looked the same and tasted the same. No flavour, no salt, the sauce had curdled and split. The boiled rice had no flavour whatsoever, again lacking salt. We were very disappointed with this meal and had we not been self isolating we would have taken it back. I accept that you were very busy and maybe it was a different chef but this standard of food should not have been delivered.

Haven't been here for a while so we decided to visit the other day.Really friendly service and staff, food was delicious and big portions and I think it's good value for money too. The restaurant and toilets were really clean.Definitely think we will be back soon.

A family run business. The father is the Chef and the 2 sons are front of house. They provide excellent service and are very polite and friendly. Nice comfortable surroundings with pleasant music. On the menu it states that each dish is freshly prepared. I ordered a Keema Curry with Japatis and it was delicious and well presented. This restaurant is on my door step and so I will certainly be coming back here again 😄 !

Great place to come for a curry, staff are friendly and polite. Price is good and selection is excellent. BYOB as no bar but tesco and co-op just across the road. Also parking nearby. Highly recommended

This has to be one of my favourites in Mirfield. I love it. The food is always very good and Imran is always pleased to see everyone. This is the new restaurant which is much bigger than the old Alnawab which I loved. The small restaurant had a very cosy feel about it. That said, there has been no change at all with the superb food they serve. You can be assured of a very warm welcome at Alnawab.
