This place is truly authentic Indian food. So much choice, you choose the temperature with help on the menu the more peppers showing the hotter it gets. But it was so tasty, get yourself a big nan hanging on the pole, early bird saves about £4! By cash. Niece ambience, lovely friendly staff. Try it once, go back many times!!

Better than any other curry place you’ve ever been to. Amazing high quality food, incredibly efficient service. We were on our way back home to Cornwall and stopped for a delicious curry. The owner Josh is a lovely character and we had great chats with him. 10/10 recommend.

We have been visiting Mubai Spice since it opened many years ago. Tonight's meal was fantastic. The mid week offer of a 2 course meal for £14.95 was incredible value. The staff as always are attentive and friendly

I visit many Indian Restaurants, and MUMBA SPICE (Put another I back on your sign outside, please!) is fast becoming one of mine & my partner’s favourites. On our last visit we spotted Garlic Chicken Tikka which neither of us have seen on a menu before and ordered it along with Madras. Both of us loved it, and we’ll be having it again ASAP!

Recently ordered for collection (tonight) I ordered Fish Pakora which are usually lovely but these were burnt and then had gone soggy in the plastic tub, the fish was dry. I ordered a chicken Karahi but I might as well have ordered italian chicken ragu ... it had no spice, seasoning or flavour and looked like a tub of tomato passata. The Keema was like eating a bland bolognese. Their only saving grace was the pilau rice tasted ok. I teach in a Bradford school and their curries taste more authentic than Mumbai Spice. Supposed to come to £42 but they offered 15% off so Paid around £36 and it was the biggest waste of money. Hugely disappointed!

Yes it as to be the best . Eaten at all the other local curry houses supposedly better but never gone back. Consistently good. 5 Stars Still going there after all these years and still highly recommended.

This was our first visit and we will definitely return. The food was of good quality and was really tasty. The service was also quick and efficient.

Just moved to the area, read very good reviews so my partner and I rang to make a reservation. As a hearing impaired individual, I am assisted by an accredited Hearing dog - I gave the courtesy of informing them that I would be bringing the service dog to support me so they could make any necessary accomodations, and was told that service dogs are not permitted at the restaurant. Including dogs that support blind people, due to the 'personal policy of the owner'. Quite sad really. Also a breach of the equality act...

Great food, attentive service. One of our favorite places to eat as a family, in fact its the kids choice every time we ask where they want to go out to eat. Will definately be back soon.

Great place for parties or even a quiet tables for just 2. Staff are very well experienced and intellectual. Rocky and Josh are the best. The most charismatic couple of guys I've come across. This is now the only place I'll be going for a meal.

Amazing time at Mumbai spice. They even tried to make us the world's biggest naan at our request (but oven wasn't big enough). Food amazing. Lovely staff etc, go!!

Recently visited as a family outing. The place is inviting and the service very good. Unfortunately the food was not as good as we were hoping for. 3 out of an adult group were dangerously poorly later that evening and next morning. Only my opinion but this place needs to be shut down before they actually kill someone. Food poisoning is a very serious matter. I would have emailed the owners directly but no email address is listed on the website. the sharing starter was the best ive had for a while. curries where excelent also, definetly go again.

Service was a strange mix between attentitive at first, to negligent. It changed whilst I was there. However, the food was delicious. One of the best Chicken Karahi's I have had and rich in flavour. My only gripe was the portion size could have been larger. Very well priced. Beatiful decor inside.

Good menu choice, good value and friendly staff

This was just the best takeaway delivered curry we had had in ages! Fragrant and spicy, onion rice was sublime. Chicken chana garlic masala and chicken tikka sag dhal. Every mouthful was an explosion of flavour. I even rang the restaurant to pass my compliments to the chef.

Absolutely our new favourite takeout place, I had chicken tikka masala, and my partner had chicken korma, food was hot, on time and not greasey at all. Definitely recommended.. Paid a little more than normal but definitely worth every penny.

Ordered lamb chaps and garlic chicken but not upto the mark as expected.....a lot of colour was added in both the dishes....the colour in my hand is still there even after washing....l am editing my review as they insulted my honest review as childish and rudely. So I am giving one star for service also. I went there after seeing the reviews but I think the reviews were paid and fake after seeing their response....

It's been a while since we ordered from here due to various reasons, some of the curry resteraunts in Hudds have disappeared or gone downhill so we tried mumbai again and was not disappointed, the food was excellent, they deliver to the other side if hudds for us and we can't wait to order again, cheers guys the food was mega

Delicious Indian food. Piping hot to the table. Freshly made poppadoms, Onion bahjis, and nann breads. Indian beers bottled and on draught. Well worth the trip out.

Came to Mumbai Spice for a family visit, we was hosted by a young gentleman Rocky, such a lovely bloke, I ordered the Maharaja mix for 2, really tasty, for mains I had the Garlic chicken tikka masala and my wife had the jaflonge both was delicious, look forward to seeing you again soon.

A great treat for the whole family. Went with wife and kids and I must admit each and every one of us loved it. Was looked after by a very charming young man called Rokeeb. He made our day. Here's to many returns. Keep it up lads.

Great food, great service, good price

Took the Mrs out for our 1st meal out together since the birth of our children 19 months ago. Was not disappointed, service 10/10, food 10/10, friendliness of staff 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Will be returning when we get a babysitter again! 😁 Thank you, you made our evening 🙂

Lemon chicken was awesome the best I've ever had

Dined in many times and never been disappointed. First time we tried a takeaway and felt really let down. Curries and rice were good, plenty of chicken and cooked well. However the onion bhaji was so overcooked it tasted burnt and disintegrated into dust on my plate. If this had been presented to me whilst in the restaurant I would have had the opportunity to send it back. Seems that the same care is not given to food when it is for takeaway. Also £25.05 for two chicken curries, rice and portion of two inedible bhajis was expensive. Such a shame as Mumbai has always been my go to Indian restaurant, but maybe I will think twice next time.

We went for a birthday meal, and as always, this place didn't disappoint. The welcome is always friendly, the service is always great, and the food is always fantastic. A bit unusual paying by cash only, but I understand the reasoning. Can highly recommend Mumbai Spice for good quality food and service.

Your comments Poor for the money always been a regular will not be ordering again! Poppadoms stale pickle tray sauce slopped open all over rest of my food containers. Curry bland with sour taste to sauce ( chicken tikka masala garlic off specials) starter also poor cheap produce. Hard earned cash down the swanny......

Oh my oh my this place is the best in Huddersfield!! I'll be honest I went they expecting nothing special but I can say I was surprised. The staff are amazing, service was super quick, the decor was beautiful and my days the food was superb I'll definitely be heading back sometime soon thank you for an amazing night

Place was nice, but food should be much better considering the many other restaurants available locally. Tasted like it was out of a tin.

Called in with a friend of mine to order a t/a for four. Had a lovely pint of Kingfisher while watching Man U get stuffed. ( sorry Bos man. ) Once again the food was fabulous. We all loved it. The only downside is there's none leftover for work tomorrow! Cheers lads.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time and that’s coming from a person who has explored many different cuisines. 10/10 food, staff and vibes. Will definitely be returning many more times with more friends and family

Discusting parked at the back near the gate's their was rat's roaming around and very unclean the new side kick bosses are in you're face every 10 minutes yapping about football no privacy 🙄

Definitely the best indian/Bangladeshi curry house in Huddersfield. Best for banter and a top quality curry. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately there is no option to reply to the ridiculous owner reply on my previous review so leaving another review to make him understand that his actions were wrong and out of place. After ON PURPOSE not being served for half an hour (not even mentioning that we were there as family with two kids) we walked out and one of the staff members came out (gave my phone back which I by mistake left on the table) and apologised for the owner action about three times and said if he would be in our place he would do the same. So you know what - at least you got one good thing in that restaurant- good staff. Maybe one day once the owner changes we will try again! Advise to the owner - grow up and change your attitude against your customers if you don’t want to loose your business!!!!

Had the worst experience ever!!! Please do avoid this place if you don't want evening ruined for you and your family. Place was dirty, waiting times more than half an hour (just for someone to take the order) and owner of the place was so rude. Absolutely disgusting place...

The owner is a very egoistic person who on purpose ignores the customers who have been there for 25 minutes just because he does not understand jokes. I would definitely avoid and so would my friends and family around. Ruined our night.

Waiting time for table was too long, could have avoided as there were table vacant. Was not allowed to take our bag to the table stating security reason. Food was good and came on time. Taxi service was called for when asked

Edited my post as I went last week and our food wasn't good, just tasted of curry paste. not sure if they had a different cook on but it was bad, and of course you don't like to say anything incase they mess with a replacement meal, It honestly tasted like a frozen curry from asda, and way way below the standard I have had from Mumbai spice in the past. Also the waiter became argumentative when I asked about it. Shame but I won't be returning.
