Meat is nice , wasn’t too keen on the chicken … but they don’t come around often enough so we filled up on salad and was waiting for meat for such a long time that we were full. It was nice we eat out a lot and I personally think for the price they should be more frequent with the meats.

Amazing food, and so much of it!

this is without a doubt one of the best and my favourite joints I have ever eaten in world wide.....I had seen a program about this style of eating and as a chef I was interested immediately....then to be working in Huddersfield and find this place I had to try it....went with a friend on his birthday and both walked out thinking this is one our favourite ever dining experiences...this one does up to 11

I was satisfied, the atmosphere was super cozy, quiet, excellent service and wonderful food. I highly recommend it.

Food was amazing, massive fan of the chilli beef. Would highly recommend if you are a meat fan, They operate a red card green card system for when you have had enough, or want to carry on eating.

Always great food and lovely staff members who are polite and helpful! Love going here. It is expensive however for what you get it is definatly worth it!

Very disappointing. Myself and my partner visited recently. The food is extremely overpriced, my partner was not keen on the meat even though his been to other meat places (different business) like this and loved it.. Myself as not a massive fan of meat got a vegetarian option. The food was extremely bland and the salad bar was extremely disappointing. For over £70 we will not be returning again. When explaining our disappointing experience with who we presume was the manager, we were just told that we weren't hungry enough!

Been here a couple times now and it gets better every time, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly!

Still a great place to eat. You have to ask the server for more meat as the time as they try and give you the tiniest slice. The food still tastes good with a good selection of quality meats. The prices are creeping up all the time and at £28.50 per person ( not including drinks) it's starting to get a little expensive.

I've always gone to Fazenda in Leeds but decided to try here again, as its my hometown. Everything is much better than years ago. Use your Green sided disc to keep the food, meat chicken lamb, and gammon sausage pork in honey,coming and flip to the red side to take a breather. In Leeds, chips are included in the price you pay, and the salad bar is awesome. There's so much choice in Leeds. Here in hudds, you pay extra for chips, and the salad bar is actually a corner. The rice gets cold quickly, or it gets cold whilst waiting for the meat. Try to keep the rice hotter because nobody wants gut ache from coldish rice. I didn't like the way the bearded guy (i think he's the manager) treats the waitresses. He appears abrupt with them, and its not good luck in the restaurant in front of customers. He could actually do something himself and pull his finger out if they're not going fast enough instead of just standing behind the bar!They have a 10% service charge on your bill ours came to £9 we paid it but it is only recommended. A bit of music would be nice to give you that authentic feel. If i pay a service charge again, I'll expect the male carvers to smile a bit more or at least look approachable. Overall, the food is rather nice. Would I go back? yes, id like to see if there are some changes.. ie The managers' manner and the rice hotter. I'd recommend going though.

Much better since they introduced the salad bar, however where they have it situated is very cramped and awkward as soon as more than 2 people want to get near it. Good choice for a local gaucho style experience, and competitively priced. But the waiting staff could do with a little more charisma if they want to compare to the likes of fazenda.

Bit expensive for what you get. Lovely food and all but no atmosphere. Back room cold. Also a little worried that the fire exit was locked.

We love Botafogo, staff are friendly and meat is delicious! My fav is the minted lamb by far. Only improvement would be the servers slowing down a bit :)

Not quite as good as previous visits had a bit too much fat on a few of the meats. Some more fat than meat. But what was meat was really good. And love the pineapple everytime.

Great food, the meat just keeps on coming and is cooked beautifully. The waitress was lovely and the Chef is great, the Manageress however was miserable and a bit passive-aggressive. When we asked for a table for 2 she just shrugged her shoulders and made a funny face, always looked a bit angry. A bit on the pricey side but you do get a lot of bang for your buck.

Excellent variety of meat and side orders. The meat was definitely fresh and delicious. I always keep an empty stomach for the day before I come here and then develop a food baby at the end of the night. Well worth it.

Pretty good rodizio. Nor as wise a selection as other rodizio places, but good value for money and you can't fault the service.

Good but Los pampas in Halifax is better

Really delicious food in a nice colourful setting, good vibes and friendly staff. If you’ve never been before the staff will bed you in nicely to how the protocol goes down. Unlimited salad bar with lots to choose from all freshly prepared, with dips and toppings too. An endless supply of meat coming round to the tables, cooked the way you desire! Chefs slice and serve table side and you get snapping up with your tongs. My favourite was the ‘Acem Comprido - Beef Shoulder’ altho the ‘Cordeiro - Minted Lamb’ was pretty divine too and the ‘Picanha Rump’ was very succulent! All the meat was incredible, well seasoned and very very tasty! Also loved the grilled pineapple. The cocktails slipped down all too easy, highly recommend the passionfruit twist on the Brazilian classic. This place is well worth a try, celebrate something special moments you’ll remember for years to come. On road paid parking available near by, free after 6pm.

Oh my gosh. That's all I can say. I came here and it was so spectacular. The meat is cooked to perfection and there's never a moment where you don't have anything on your plate (mostly due to great service and the amazing salad bar). The staff are so kind, helpful and polite; they are always making sure you are comfortable with what you want or what you are eating. I highly recommend to everyone who wants a good place to eat grilled food

Amazing quiet night out with MrsJ. The food was top notch and serving staff polite and quick. Atmosphere was quiet, cosy and we could have a good level of conversation over the background music. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice little unlimited salad bar, meats kept coming, all fresh and sizzling. Taste wise their signature beef is above and beyond and their cocktails were nice. The rest were okay.

As a long-time customer of Botafogo, I've visited this establishment numerous times over the years. However, my recent visits, spanning the last three to four times, have left me thoroughly disappointed. The decline in quality is regrettable. The service has become slower and less attentive compared to my previous experiences. Communication issues, especially when ordering drinks, have also been problematic. Moreover, the quality of the meats has suffered. They have been rushed and overcooked, lacking the natural flavors and tenderness I once enjoyed. This declining trend is disheartening, and despite my history with Botafogo, I must acknowledge the consistent disappointments during my last few visits. I hope the management takes notice of these shortcomings and works towards restoring the former glory of this once beloved churrascaria. In conclusion, my most recent experiences at Botafogo have been dishearteningly disappointing. Until significant improvements are made, I find it hard to recommend Botafogo to others.

The server acted like it was an inconvenience to serve us and had an attitude, barmaid and the manager/owner? Were very polite. Good selections of meats but sides weren’t very appealing.

After a couple of years I gave this place a go again and was happily surprised the food amazing the service the best will be back soon :)

Brilliant food, value and service every time. We're lucky to have this restaurant in Huddersfield! No need to leave town for a proper rodizio.

Pleasant food. Called in very early doors (1/2 hour after opening) and obviously it was very quiet, actually we were the first in and only ones for a while, making the atmosphere somewhat quiet. The food was good but surprisingly, the Picanha was lacking in seasoning. The minted lamb (cordeiro) and the Sausage (Linguica) were beautiful. Price was a tad more than I remember from last time I visited just after lockdown but it is comparable to others in the area.

Gorgeous food just missing chicken

Was really looking forward to my birthday meal out, been told the food was amazing so really excited..what a let down..was nothing special and when carvers came to your table they try and slice off the tiniest piece of meat they could and they were all miserable, salad bar was very limited but would say was the tastiest part of the meal, definitely not worth the money we paid and they on top of your bill they ask for a suggested service charge,wouldnt recommend

The food here is amazing. I ate so much. The meat is cooked to perfection. The waiters are very nice as well. 100% recommend eating here. Worth the price for sure.

First time at a Brazillian grill and thought it was a fab experience. Chose a selection from the salad bar (which had an excellent variety) ordered a side of fries And the feast began, meats just kept coming round - every one spot on. Speciality cocktail was delicious. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful ....I had a great time and would highly recommend

Visited here last night & it was amazing. 1) Food is perfectly cooked 2) Huge variety of Meats & Salads 3) So many drinks to choose from 4) Every staff member is so friendly 5) Restaurant is one of the cleanest restaurants i have visited in my life 6) The cheapest all you can eat Brazilian restaurant you will find 7) Top quality Meats & you can tell by the taste 8) Lovely small business I would recommend this place 100 times over, this is my favourite restaurant in the world & i think everyone should go here.

Just love this place! Unlimited meat and a good selection of salad and bread rolls. The service is top notch and although they add a 10% service charge at the end thw payment for this is optional although I can't fault it at all. All the food is cooked how you want it and is always lush. We have been here a few times and love going. Would highly recommend.

Great place, not my first visit as I usually leave reviews after visiting a few times. Booked online through their website at short(ish) notice. Restaurant is very well presented, as has been every time I've visited, and we were shown immediately to our table. Food was amazing as always: tried nearly every meat on the menu and couldn't find a fault with any of it. Both of us left feeling full with no complaints, there was no rush to leave as we'd only been there 80mins out of the 120 you're allowed. Reasonably priced: two people with a couple of drinks each and a few extras (peppercorn sauce which was divine) amounted to less than £80 which includes the 10% service charge (completely optional though is added to the bill by default - no issues from me as I feel the service is always impeccable.) We will most certainly be returning in the future.

For somewhere to be a grill you would think you could actually get meat not here only tiny tiny slivers probably amounted to 4oz of meat each at £27.50 per person an actual rip off one of our party only eats chicken which we did tell the staff she got 2 small pieces of thigh meat we were there for about one and a half hours you would be advised to avoid this so called grill there are far better places to eat

Food was perfect although the cuts were very stingey flavours were amazing. The service was terrible, first the blonde server asked if we’d been before when my boyfriend said no she then said “seeing as you’re the expert etc.” she then asked if she could get us any sides as if they’re not included in the buffet🤨the second server proceeded to take away our empty fries then refill every other table than ours, which I found very odd but thought may be due to where we were seated. I eventually had to get up and interrupt her conversation at the bar to ask her to replenish our sides when she came back out to refill each tables fries including ours…last. As the only black couple definitely weird vibes🤷🏽‍♀️ They insisted on taking the drinks menus although we intended on drinking with the meal. She took our second round of drinks order came back 10 minutes later and asked if she’d already brought our drinks out as there were glasses on table. When we were stuffed with the impeccable food and asked for the bill she asked if we’d like to pay the £8 service charge. When we said no thank you she asked if anything was wrong with the service then apologised for forgetting our table which I appreciated. Food 4/5 Service 1/5

Tasty dishes, flavourful drinks, warm-welcome staffs and enjoyable atmosphere Been a fan of grilled meat and when I figured out this restaurant, it is a heaven for a place to eat meat in Huddersfield. The menu is diverse with many meat options. These meats taste brilliant as they are marinated with spices, grilled in standardised heat, and served professionally at the table. Not only delicious main course, but there are also varied drinks and yum yum desserts to choose from. I love Botafogo as the chef and the staff are super lovely, professional, and warm-welcome to all customers! Love it so much and really recommend it!!! With love!

I enjoyed eating here, but it wasn't the best food I've ever eaten. I've been at different Brazilian grills with a bigger salad bar selection and more meat variations.

Took my partner for an evening meal for his birthday, hadn't pre booked but was given a table straight away. The staff were so friendly and helpful, food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was brilliant. Lovely place for couples and families. Wide choice of meats and salad bar was great with loads to choose from and go as many times as you'd like. Would definitely go again and definitely recommend to anyone.

I joined my friends for my birthday celebration at Botafogo Grill. The food was great, we met for 7pm. So meat was just finishing been cooked. Plenty of choice for meat. Waiting staff were able to cater to everyone's requirements. Salad had wide range of options. Pineapple with Cinammon on is a big favorite of mine. Mocktails and cocktails were great. Loved my slice of birthday cake and fountain candle. Thanks for a good time, will see you soon.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was not great though. Very quiet, with close nit tables, there is a hushed vibe as everyone can hear. But as I say the food is very good. £27.50 per adult.

Great meat feast. Good chips but salad bar could be better & disappointed by dessert (not made on the premises). If you like meat you will not be disappointed.

Great place to get a quick meal. Served food within 5 minutes of sitting down. All you can eat meat lovely salad bar, lovely chips, Be hungry to get your monies worth 😋

Food was lovely and very fresh. My only criticism was the servers bringing the food to the table didn't seem very friendly. There is also a gratuity charge they add to your bill without warning you, which is very unfair. But the food really does make up for this, it is absolutely worth it. I'd happily go back just for the coleslaw alone

Try it! Food was fantastic. Slice by slice of amazingly cooked, extremely tasty meat portions. Some fantastic sides. Friendly staff. They don't over-face of portions so you get to sample everything as much as you'd like. Will get a second visit.

Another delicious visit to Botafogo, the meat is absolutely to die for. Honey pork my favourite, closely followed by the beef and the lamb.

Had nice chicken burger with chips. Nice place. Just that it wasted a little time which I never had.. but good chips nice burger, filets fried chicken..

It was my first visit but I would recommend and I am going again .

The staff were very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed at all times. The head chef was on point with serving the freshly cooked meats and wouldn't stop until I was truly full. There is a buffet style section where you fill up on vegetables and rice dishes, whilst the chef comes to your table to serve the meats. Roasted pineapple and pork was the favourite of the night. Would definitely return for another session, but wold make sure I'm starving before hand as to make sure I get to try all the meats!

Absolutely amazing! After nearly an hour delay thanks to a useless taxi firm and many calls to Botafogo to hold our table, all the staff were fabulous and the food was to die for!! Can't recommend highly enough!
