The best restaurants in Holme Valley South Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

Had our anniversary dinner here on a cold snowy night in December. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and the staff were very attentive. Food was fantastic, the butternut risotto was the best risotto i've ever had. Sticky toffee pudding was an additional bonus.

A great place to visit and paint some Christmas presents for family, would visit again.

Just googled best breakfast near me on a drive out to Holmfirth and WOW , I wasn't disappointed. Full English, yes I had to wait for it to be made but well worth it. Probably the best breakfast I've had in years. Definitely coming again !!! 5 stars well done 👏

The food is okay like most Indian joint nothing special

Bloc is my go to when im in Holmfirth, the food is always lovely and so are the staff, its not the cheapest place for what you get but the quality is great! Definitely recommend.

Bit loud at peak times but worth it, the food and service are amazing. Nice for a treat and we love the tapas selection here

We were guests at a wedding here at the weekend. The venue was amazing, food was delicious and team attentive. Thank you for creating a relaxing and joyful experience. We stayed in the accommodation below the vineyard which was great, convenient and clean.

Absolutely unreal burger. If you ever visit Holmfirth and are hungry you MUST go here! Without doubt the tastiest burger i have ever had, cooked to perfection 👌 Well done Lou and big shout out to Joe as well 🤣

The food is always fantastic at Mezze and I've eaten in with friends but I also like that I can order takeout in advance and pick it up.

Myself & a few friends had been out walking around Digley res this weekend. On our way home we thought we’d stop for a well deserved pint & some lunch. The sign outside said Dogs welcome so in we all went. As soon as we entered we realised that not only our dogs weren’t welcome but neither were we. The owner/manager (a very rude, arrogant, little man) turned his nose up at us the moment we entered. We left. This place is a poor reflection on Holmfirth. Shame really as the place itself is beautiful.

We visit Oscars frequently for their pizzas as they are delicious!! Fantastic choice and they never fail to be gorgeous. The wine is also yummy. Great place.

Very Good restaurant…extensive menu , starters huge and of excellent quality , mains very good , naans beautifully fluffy with burnt bits👍🏻 , customer service very professional….. a thoroughly enjoyable meal out with family,,,,,,, well done and thank you Team Bengal Spice

A great mexican dish for lunch with excellent cider in the (small) main cafe. In the height of summer there's a conservatory area. Quirky and interesting, very friendly staff.

Cider press used to be our favourite place to visit. It's now under new ownership and the menu has vastly reduced and prices increased. It used to always be busy to the point we've been turned away due to the queue of people waiting for tables . There was no one there when we arrived at lunchtime although some more people did turn up after a little while. The cider of course is still a major draw but I'm not wowed by the choice of sandwiches in comparison to what used to be on offer. Perhaps in time the menu will improve...but it's disappointing at the moment. But the lovely friendly atmosphere it used to have seemed to be a little lacking. Time will tell...

A good bar and restaurant, perfect for casual dining. The tapas menu offers a good variety although more fish options would be nice. Portions are substantial and quality very good. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
