Today i have ordered an afternoon tea takeaway for the 21st November from Betty’s Northallerton. I rang and received a pleasant greeting. My order was taken and repeated back to me as we had to change the sandwich order, due to a fish and seafood allergy. The person was polite, courteous and professional. I would recommend this service to anyone who is wanting an afternoon tea, and have not got the time to visit the tearoom.

I had a full breakfast for £9.95 and a cup of tea. The breafast had two eggs, two bacon, two sausages, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, baked beans and two hash browns. Superb value. Staff were absolutely fabulous - highly recommended.

This is one of those establishments that does what it says on the tin, it sells Ice Cream. Very pleasant young ladies serving in the shop and a nice selection of Ice cream flavours to choose from, along with similar syrups to top it off. Would recommend if you are in the area and fancy a nice Ice Cream.

Under new management Any reviews prior to march 2025 are no longer valid. Good luck to the new landlord. I have been in and wasn’t keen, they have taken away the old feel of the standard. It feels more cramped and louder. Not tried the food. Cost me £9.40 for two drinks.

We visited here at the beginning of January after walking to find somewhere to eat on a cold Friday evening. The hotel was so festive both inside and out with a beautiful tree. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar and when they came we were pleasantly surprised. My little boy ordered a kids fish and chips, and it was a decent size with home made chips and mushy peas at only £4! My husband loved the fish cakes and our older son’s burger was huge with more homemade chips. The breakfast menu also looks lovely which we will try on our next visit.

Nice cafe, pleasant surroundings, good food and drinks . But disappointed that unlike many places the Babychino is not free or a token cost .....come on £1:50 that's unreal, it's only a joke drink but under 3s like to feel part of outing ..... when family easily spends £20 to £30 on food and drink for themselves and bigger kids please reconsider your policy ? .......Strikes Garden centre is free ! ....everywhere in Australia and NZ is free .....
