Attended the restaurant for our wedding anniversary, the decor is nice and the service is friendly. Popadoms for starter was nice, then we ordered starters & main courses. The portion sizes are small and the prices are quite high. My main course prawn curry only had 5 medium sized prawns in it with minimal amount of sauce. The dishes had nice flavours but expensive for the size of the portions. We paid £76 for two starters, two mains with one rice & one naan bread & two small drinks.

Today i have ordered an afternoon tea takeaway for the 21st November from Betty’s Northallerton. I rang and received a pleasant greeting. My order was taken and repeated back to me as we had to change the sandwich order, due to a fish and seafood allergy. The person was polite, courteous and professional. I would recommend this service to anyone who is wanting an afternoon tea, and have not got the time to visit the tearoom.

This is one of those establishments that does what it says on the tin, it sells Ice Cream. Very pleasant young ladies serving in the shop and a nice selection of Ice cream flavours to choose from, along with similar syrups to top it off. Would recommend if you are in the area and fancy a nice Ice Cream.

As usual = Outstanding polite service. Our family has several allergies & the waiting staff could not do enough to help with the this. There is an alternative menu & the staff's knowledge & helpfulness made for an enjoyable family evening out. We will obviously be back again. Thank you, as ever, to all on shift.

Lovely cafe upstairs, quite busy on a sunny day. We ordered Meze for one and a Fish and Chips. The waiter asked if I wanted bread and butter with that, so I said yes. Really nice food arrived no complaints there. With drinks, the total was about £44 which was about right. Looking at the receipt, the bread and butter was charged at £2.95! That was for a single slice of brown bread, sliced diagonally. £2.95 for a slice of bread!!! Ridiculous. Sadly, they didn't get a tip because I felt stupid paying three quid for that.

We had lunch at this venue with a group of friends. After two very overpriced soft drinks we sat down to eat. After what seemed an age, the food came. To be fair I heard no complaints about the quality of the food but given the eye watering amounts we were being charged for simple pub lunch dishes, the portion size was tremendously disappointing, and for the record, neither I nor my wife are big eaters. On the plus side the ambiance in the restaurant was good and the fixures and fittings seemed clean , tidy and well maintained. However, producing small portions at high cost and providing slow service is not condusive to encouraging return visits. We will certainly not be returning!

I was staying nearby for the night and decided to eat here . I turned up without booking on a Monday evening and although it was quite busy they found me a table. I ordered a few dishes and I must say all very good. Great service and a nice venue.
