I had a full breakfast for £9.95 and a cup of tea. The breafast had two eggs, two bacon, two sausages, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes, baked beans and two hash browns. Superb value. Staff were absolutely fabulous - highly recommended.

Lovely warm, cosy little Cafe with delicious home made food. Cakes are to die for and I bought lots of lovely homemade Christmas puddings, cakes and mince pies for presents. Angela (proprietor), is really lovely, friendly and looks after you very well. Great parking (right outside) and hot, home made, wholesome food. Highly recommend.

Went here for breakfast as people were saying it was good. The whole breakfast was cold, We complained so she took it away and returned it with freshly very overcooked eggs and one freshly cooked sausage which was still raw . But was equally cold but we were quite hungry by this time so we ate it anyway. So my wife when paying explained our dissatisfaction again so she knocked 20% off hers. Having run a B&B for many years my wife told her that she should be checking the temperature of the food especially pork sausages and that she should be using a probe to check the core temperature . I think it fell on deaf ears. Later on in the day someone said the usual cook wasn’t there at the moment , that shouldn’t matter if the cook on duty was not competent to do the job .

This is the first time I have been back to Parklands cafe since reopening under new management. Friendly staff, lovely home cooked food and good coffee. Tricky find by driving through the Parklands caravan and fishing site but once found well worth it!

I cannot comment on the food here as we didn't get a chance to try it. Pre cover my husband and me visited the cafe here nearly every week for breakfast. The food was lovely and the service brilliant. Heard it was under new management and decided to pop in this morning. Walked in and a young lad working there glanced at me and carried on with what he was doing. No acknowledgement. The girl working in the kitchen also glanced at me and then carried on with what she was doing. I stood there for a good few minutes but nothing. If they had said hello and told me they would be with me in a minute then fine. Eventually I walked out and we went to Sam Turners for breakfast. Peg 53 was empty and I can see why. A quick acknowledgement would have cost nothing. will never return.

Fooe delivered on time and piping hot. Just as good as eating at the cafe. What makes the difference between good and brilliant is they even supply cutlery and condiments.

A group of us booked Parklands for afternoon tea. There were 8 of us and one person is gluten intolerant. Not an issue - they did her an individual batch of cakes and sandwiches with a scone. We sat in the little summerhouse overlooking the lake which was perfect. There was a selection of cakes and sandwiches and we all got to pick if we wanted fruit or plain scones - which by the way were fab! There was fresh cream and jam to go with the scones. also meringues with fresh cream. The service was also very good and the final bill with extra tea and drinks came to £92.00. We were all stuffed at the end and have said we will definitely go back again. Would recommend 110% - Lovely xxx

Booked afternoon tea here for a birthday treat for my husband. (I think with afternoon tea you have to give at least 24 hours notice which we did). he is also a fisherman so was a good chance to check out the pond. So we arrived for our booking and greeted by friendly owner and staff. We sat ourselves down in the conservatory area whilst they finished preparing and wow! what a spread!! the afternoon tea plates were full of nice things! including a slice of quiche which was a really nice surprise. All sandwiches were fresh and tasty. Cakes suberb! and scones huge!!!! We couldn't eat it all and had to take a doggy bag home. The owner was chatting to us and she is really friendly and welcoming. I am recommending this place to everyone I know! Such good value and great food.

A cracking little cafe. The menu is the usual fare you'd expect at a very competitive price without compromising on quality. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Will go back soon.

As always a fantastic visit, I have an electric bike and I will get it charged there. I asked to use the little summer house, I had let Parklands know I was coming and they laid the table and the food and service is always 1st class. Great value for money. Well done Parklands keep it up.

First came here 2 years ago and have been back several times since then. The cafe has been extended during this time and an extra conservatory added with 4 extra tables. One thing that hasn't changed is the quality of the food. Me and husband come quite often for breakfast. He always has the large full english and says the bacon and sausages are great - not cheap at all. A couple of weeks ago I had scrambled egg on toast with bacon. The scrambled egg was perfect. So many eating places ruin scrambled egg and it comes out in a plastic mess. My scrambled eggs at Parklands were perfect - fluffy and light and red hot. I've also been here at dinner time. You can get a HUGE burger with chips and a drink for under £6.00. Finally the staff are always friendly and helpful. I hope too many people don't read this review as I don't want the place to get so busy that I can't get a table!!!!

It was another great visit to Parklands cafe during our extended ride. I had contacted by Messenger to ask about using electricity to charge my electric bike. The staff couldn't be more helpful. We had our lunch in the Hut and extended the lead out of the window. The food was lovely as always and all the girls worked really hard to ensure we all got our food and drink quite quickly. It is a cafe we found by accident but now use it regularly. My cycling friends and I really enjoy this cafe.

My friend and I had been told about this cafe from some tourists and thought we'd give it a try. It's next to the fishing lakes and caravan park on Yafforth Road. Plenty of parking but we nearly went elsewhere as the cafe looks unremarkable - like a shed. However we went in and I'm glad we did. The menu offers all day breakfast, paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and burgers and chips. We both had bacon and brie paninis and chips. My friend also had salad and coleslaw. The paninis were lovely and you could tell the bacon was really good quality. The chips were skinny ones but very nice and you got plenty. The couple on the next table had just had a breakfast and said it was very good. When I paid, my panini and chips with a can of drink came to £5.00!!!!!!! Wow!!!! Fantastic value. My friends panini and chips with salad, coleslaw and a large coffee came to £6.45. We were both stunned. Will DEFINATELY be back. Give it a try.

Came here for a family meal and it happened to be "Pie Night" (Wednesday), what a selection of pies to choose from at a really reasonable price. Other menu options also available as well as children's portions and favourites. All our diners had nothing but praise for the meals of their choice, a wonderful evening meal enjoyed in a very nice country pub atmosphere, highly recommended by all of us, well worth a visit. And finally can I say we were all made to feel welcome by lovely accommodating, polite and friendly staff, well done to everyone who made our visit so nice.

I ordered lunch from Tea Time in Thirsk, and they delivered it straight to my office—fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious! The toasted sandwich was perfectly crisp with a generous filling, and the fries were golden and crispy, just the way they should be. The quality of the food really stood out, and it was clear that great care had gone into both the preparation and presentation. The delivery was prompt, and everything arrived in perfect condition. If you're looking for a tasty, well-made lunch with great service, I highly recommend Tea Time. I'll definitely be ordering again!

We were staying close by for a few days so decided to try here on our way home from Whitby. The pub is dog friendly which is always a bonus. The welcome from the owner was fantastic and he couldn’t do enough for us and our 2 dogs. The menu is excellent with something for everyone, with a good selection of veggie options. I had the koftas and my wife had the lamb casserole both of which were excellent. Highly recommended

Went for a Sunday lunch and ended up having 3 courses. (I skipped breakfast). I like arancini and so went for them - must say best I've eaten! Had beef for Sunday lunch, which came with loads of veg. The cauli cheese wasn't as I would make at home, but it knockes the block off those you find at carveries up and down the country. Baked and cooked to perfection. The pureed carrot was lovely, as was the parsnip and mash. Beef was good, but mine had a run of inedible connective tissue on the edge. Gravey is divine, and I finished with a lovely sticky toffee pudding on a lake of toffee sauce - my fav. And again, lovely. A special shout out to the camp male server who was fan-tas-tic darling! Very confident , helpfull and hard-working individual - an asset to the establishment. These were the great points, and for me and my guests, I'd like to feed back some constructive improvements. The main, on the whole, was great, but for me, I thought the roasted potatoes were a bit bland and dry. There is a massive yorkshire pudding served, which, again, was a bit dry/stale and bland. That was the only real negatives with the food, although the wife said she wasn't overly keen of the beatroot dish. Here is a couple of suggestions from the females in our group - could do with a hook on the back of the toilet door to hang handbags on and, to improve the atmosphere, maybe a few flowers on the tables? Will we visit again? Certainly, when next time in the area.
