Very basic pub. Toilets were disgusting. Disabled toilet was used as a cleaning cupboard and I couldn't get in to use it. There where two other toilets in the ladies. One had no door on and the other had no lock on. Being disabled I could not use the ladies as the toilet was too low for me and the toilet roll was on the floor. No paper in the proper dispenser. Needless to say didn't stay long. Will never go again

Great experience for my mum's birthday, the manager was really friendly and helpful. I asked about vegetarian dishes and she explained most dishes could be adapted and made suitable, without being asked she suggested bringing my young daughter's main out with the adult starters which was great. Lovely place, delicious food, would recommend!

Didn't eat here but enjoyed a fantastic cocktail in the sunshine, staff were so attentive and friendly and made sure everything was great

Booked a table for Sunday lunch on a spare of the moment. Glad we did because it was not overly busy or crowded but all tables were booked. I can see why. The Sunday lunch is very very nice, it was exactly what we wanted. It almost reminded me of going to your Nans for a cracking roast. Tip ! Follow the advice of the bar man - the portion size is “a big eat”.

Best fish and chips in Beverley. Batter is always crunchy. Portions are huge and service is great.

Best breakfast in Beverley (in my opinion) Both myself & partner had a 'Breakfast Board' each. Amazing quality & excellent presentation sausage, perfectly crispy bacon, black pudding served with beans, roasted cherry tomatoes, 2 fried eggs & hash browns plus ample toast with butter all served piping hot. We are regular visitors & love the variety on both the regular menu& specials board.

I can not fault this restaurant at all. The food and service is excellent. The atmosphere is lovely and as a family we look forward to going back time and time again.

What a little gem. Excellent, authentic food. Great service. Very nice 'Streetfood Experience'. Staff very friendly, efficient and polite. Sitting at the Bar instead of at a table (perhaps not the seats adjacent to the till), for us added to the whole thing. No one in the open kitchen shows any concern about being watched by customers, such is their confidence in what they do. We think they adopt this attitude rightly so. Very good drink selection. It's not cheap (what restaurants & cafes are these days) but it is absolutely excellent value for money. The only comment we'd make so that others really do enjoy Sumo rather than have an expectation spoilt, service is fast. Even when it's busy, you will not wait long for food. This may be exactly what you want, but if you're thinking of wanting to linger over, and savour the food; you should order a little (or a course) at a time which slows things down some ... it's street food so 'fast' is what they're supposed to do ... they do it well without it affecting the quality of the food they serve. A brilliant place, one of the very best food experiences in Beverley and Hull. We highly recommend Sumo if you like Asian food.

Called for Sunday lunch after seeing Facebook pictures. Lovely fresh home cooked food, beef melted in the mouth. Chatty staff who were genuinely interested in making you feel welcome. Regular size plate £10, great value for money. Smaller and larger plates available. We will be back. Thank you.

Had a great lunch here this week. Enjoyed a few cocktails as well which were nice. Price is fair and decor is tasteful. Staff were nice and friendly but maybe could do with some further knowledge on allergens. Will certainly be back

We were welcomed and dealt with efficiently, it’s always good to have a positive first impression for the visit. We had a lovely table, three of us sat at a four seater table and there was plenty of room (important to us because mum is elderly and has dementia). The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, it was warm and cozy. Food was served very quickly and was lovely. I look forward to going again.
