The best restaurants in Sprotbrough Doncaster Yorkshire and The Humber

Mi familia ha estado en Hickleton Golf Club para jugar al golf y también han estado allí para el almuerzo, así que sugerimos que visitemos un domingo. El restaurante estaba bastante ocupado, pero habíamos reservado una mesa, así que todo estaba listo para nosotros. Subimos a buscar nuestra comida y pudimos elegir nuestra carne y el personal también nos sirvió verduras. La comida estaba muy caliente y sabrosa. Era un ambiente muy agradable en el restaurante y aunque estaba ocupado no era estresante. Me interesó ver que tenían muchos eventos sociales y fue agradable ver que hay una comunidad real en el club.

Not a great place cake here for my birthday the weird Chinese lady who works there stares at you she was making me and my family very uncomfortable the food was no better then a takeaway at 300 quid for 6 people I expect better and better service and the place stunk they had a dirty fish tank that looks like it has never been cleaned ! The the larger tasted old change you're barell !

Not had fish and chips in a while so I’d thought I’d try mr fish for the first time, and what a pleasure everything was perfect thank you 👍

A local gem this place. Went yesterday and the food was amazing as always. Never had a bad meal and their Sunday dinners are class. Best restaurant in the area. 👏

As a local in this village nothing better than calling round corner for tea to be greeted by lovely staff and home cooked food, unfortunately I won’t return and give the greed of a landlord anymore of my money. He’s not bothered about us customers doesn’t even say hello just sits there all day eating food. While queuing for my carvery I had the pleasure of standing next to him which was rather not nice food all round his mouth and sweat on his head, he then delightfully said “I’m going for a s**t” Absolutely nothing like a businessman . Many people from this village have stopped coming because of him and it’s a shame to see him ruining our local. I only hope this doesn’t affect staff jobs

Outstanding food and all of the staff are amazing. Gaynor was our server and was very helpful throughout and made me, my partner and little girl feel very welcome. Lunch menu for a starter and a main is currently only around £12.50! Salmon main is what I had and it was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back again with my family. Thank you for a great experience.

Preciosas patatas fritas caseras y guisantes mushy. Enormes trozos de carne tierna. Gran porción. Pub necesita una actualización. Alfombra muy anticuada de los años 70. El esquema de color necesita un cambio. Extraño olor a humedad al entrar. Un montón de aparcamiento

Este es un pequeño salón de té encantador con comida muy sabrosa. Sólo hemos comido bocadillos y pasteles, pero todos han estado deliciosos. El personal es muy amable. Es un gran lugar para detenerse cuando se utiliza el A 1 M - la única desventaja es que no siempre hay mesas disponibles debido a su popularidad. La tienda de la granja es fantástico también, y es difícil de visitar sin comprar algo!

The food was delicious and the pub itself really cosy and clean. We had a lovely time until it came to the bill. We had booked, paid deposits and sent preorders in for 4 people. However due to unforeseen circumstances a member of the party couldn’t make it and we didn’t know until we got there. We told the staff as soon as we found out so they could take their food from the list. We were told it was not a problem. The starters came but mine came late and only when I asked for it. One of my friends wasn’t asked if she would like a drink either - she only managed to order one when the waitress finally brought my starter to the table. When it came to pudding, only mine was brought out and my friend again had to ask for hers as it didn’t seem to be on its way. The table wasn’t set for desserts despite two of us preordering one each. When we got the bill we found the main course for our absent friend was still on it. I asked for it to be removed and was told it couldn’t be as it had already been cooked, even though it wasn’t brought out. I thought that was what the deposit was for. So we paid for it but never received it. We were told we should have let them know as soon as we knew our friend wasn’t coming. We had done that and had been told it wasn’t a problem. What I really didn’t like though, and the reason why I feel compelled to leave this review, is the judgement the bar woman passed about my absent friend, saying it was her who had let us down. She hadn’t let anyone down and I don’t think the staff in a pub should be judging customers, especially when nobody knew the full situation. It is for this reason and their unwillingness to accomodate, along with the shoddy service that I won’t return.

The talented chef produced wonderful food, as always. Debbie & her staff were lovely and attentive as ever. Why this place is closing at Christmas is beyond me, it is a jewel in Doncasters crown. Thank you for lots of wonderful memories over the years.

Called in for something to eat at the Market Kitchen of Khao Niew Thai in Barnsley town centre where Khao Niew Thai have an outlet in the Market Kitchen and I been there back in about June 2023 time last year where I tired Thai food for the 1st time and it is very impressed this food and I had the Thai spring rolls and it tasted amazing and it is a quick service as well and I think Khao Niew Thai is an great place as well.

Great experience in this place. Reasonably priced for the portion sizes. Our boy loved the American pancakes with syrup. Sausage sandwich & toasted tea cake also very good. Coffee very nice indeed. Lovely staff & nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

Asistí aquí un lunes por la noche que es la noche de pastel. Qué comida absolutamente fantástica y el personal tan encantador y amable. ¿Cómo he vivido en Doncaster todo este tiempo y nunca antes había visitado este encantador lugar? Definitivamente volveré y le diré a cualquiera que escuche que debe visitarlo lo antes posible.

Cracking little cafe serving good portions of homemade meals. Staff friendly and welcoming
