Great coffee and cake. Hubby had a slice of Millionaire Shortbread and our friend and I had the BEST carrot cake 😋😋. Steve and Trudy welcomed us with warmth and huge happy smiles. They offer a varied breakfast/light lunch menu as well as loads of specialty jams & chutney’s to buy. If we could give The Cake House 10 stars we absolutely would. Thank you.

Super friendly and accommodating for our party of 8 including 4 kids. Everybody happy! Great lunch. Kids enjoyed bacon sandwiches.

Can you remember the days when you would lick your plate if your mum wasn’t looking.. well it was one of those moments on Saturday. I didn’t but the temptation was there… Outstanding food, beautiful Christmas decorations, great staff. It’s our second visit to the restaurant and certainly will not be our last.

Called in for a drink and found the Fountaine Inn to have a friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. It was Sunday afternoon so very busy but we managed to find a table. The pub is dog friendly. There was a wide and varied choice of drinks, including their own Fountaine ale, which was lovely and my huband also enjoyed the bitter - both beers were well kept. Service was quick and the bar man polite. The toilets were clean. The prices were reasonable for the area. We didn't have food as we already had plans but it smelt lovely. We had a look at the menu, the choices were good and the prices competitive, so we have decided we'll be back soon for Sunday lunch as it is only half an hour from home. Parking was a little difficult because there is no designated car park and the pub was busy, but we eventually managed to find a space across the village green so it wasn't a problem.

A small coffee shop at the bottom of the main street in Grassington. I only had a hot drink, but the food looked good and the waitress was saying that the cakes/scones on display were fresh that day and home-made as was the soup. So it's very nice to know that.

I visited the Old School Tea Room for lunch with a friend. We both had the mushroom soup with the cheddar mustard scones. It was the tastiest mushroom soup I'd ever had and the scones made me think I'd died and gone to heaven. Went back a week later and had them again.

Go to grassington often , and tried all the cafes . Today we called for a breakfast , had the best poached eggs on fab granary toast followed by the regions best coffee . Will definitely be calling again . Whilst there a pair of young guys called and asked to cater for 10 for breakfast and the young lady serving accommodated politely and arranged for the gang to do breakfast together , that’s top customer service 🫡 well done , see you again soon ☕️

A return visit for the first time in 8 years. For context we got married here 8 years ago and it was just outstanding in every way. We chose to have our wedding here after randomly stumbling across this place whilst walking (we live over an hour away). This time we were at a wedding in Threshfield and decided to pay a visit, stay over and have some memories. We arrived around 8pm to check in and was met with a busy and bustling pub full of families, couples some eating and some drinking. We were welcomed and shown to our room. Shortly after we came back down for a few drinks. A good night's sleep was had and we slept like logs. Breakfast was fantastic and hearty, the toast top-notch. Overall a wonderful inviting pub which every tme we return just makes us smile. Thank you guys. See you again soon 🤩

This is a regular coffee stop for us & is popular with our relatives from further away. The food is always very fresh with a good selection whether you’re just having a coffee & a delicious cake ( can recommend the scones or the apricot flapjack!) or brunch, lunch or afternoon tea! We had a family celebration here a while ago & we were overwhelmed with the efforts the staff went to to make the day special - excellent food & very friendly waiting staff. The staff are well informed about the food on offer & happy to cater for different needs. Our favourite place for a friendly cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate- we’ve tried them all! Only trouble is that lots of other people seem to think so too so get there early!
