Lovely interior and roadside appeal and polite staff Good choice of menu for most We enjoyed our sandwiches and the chips also the lemon drizzle but the ‘coffee & walnut ‘ cake was seriously lacking the coffee ??? Could hardly taste anything in all honesty Disappointed in that

What an amazing place…Probably the best food I’ve ever had. We stayed in room 1, Lovely cosy room with an amazing bath, quality bedding and towels. But the jewel in this crown is the food. Every course was spot on, the service was excellent, the staff were very knowledgeable including the bar manager. So a big Thankyou to Sue & John

Great coffee and superb cheese scones! A lovely place to stop off on our walks. Need to return for lunch as the meals coming out looked amazing. Good ambience and enjoyed the autumn pumpkin decorations.

A return visit for the first time in 8 years. For context we got married here 8 years ago and it was just outstanding in every way. We chose to have our wedding here after randomly stumbling across this place whilst walking (we live over an hour away). This time we were at a wedding in Threshfield and decided to pay a visit, stay over and have some memories. We arrived around 8pm to check in and was met with a busy and bustling pub full of families, couples some eating and some drinking. We were welcomed and shown to our room. Shortly after we came back down for a few drinks. A good night's sleep was had and we slept like logs. Breakfast was fantastic and hearty, the toast top-notch. Overall a wonderful inviting pub which every tme we return just makes us smile. Thank you guys. See you again soon 🤩

Miserable member of staff who served us. It also mentions that the premises is a chocolatier. I could see no evidence of this other than the usual fare you would find in a normal bakery/sandwich shop. Perhaps the member of staff was having a bad day.The food was average.

I hated the smell inside. It smells of stale bleach which is overpowering. I don't know what they use to clean but it really put me off my meal unfortunately.

Unfortunately the chilli I had lacked taste and was very watery. I think there is too much choice on the menu resulting in an inability to cook dishes from scratch. They offer traditional pub food as well as around the world dishes which is a nice touch if you can deliver. It felt like it had been taken out of the freezer and blasted in the microwave as the vegetables were extremely hard and the beef chewy!
