Super friendly and accommodating for our party of 8 including 4 kids. Everybody happy! Great lunch. Kids enjoyed bacon sandwiches.

Not our first visit and probably won’t be our last. From the welcoming depths of winter to the spring mornings it’s always great to stop here for a coffee or more. They do amazing breakfast here with really nice bacon and sausages and golden eggs. Their selection of cakes is amazing and the staff are always polite and helpful. The coffee is really nice and there is plenty of seating inside and out some under cover outside as well. Dog friendly as well inside and out.

We had just finished a hike (Grassington and Conistone circular), so we were a bit under-dressed for this very nice restaurant. My fault - didn’t do the research! We’d booked in advance given it was Good Friday but it was not very busy. Service was really lovely. Menu was not extensive and surprisingly after our exertions, we were not ravenous - so we ordered some sandwiches. All the food was terrific.

I love this place. Me and hubby have to visit Skipton every few weeks on business and I always want to come here. It's a lovely tea room in a beautiful quiet little village. The food is always lovely and they make a really good cup of coffee. The cakes are to die for too! Try the dark chocolate and ginger tiffin if they have it in, it's delish! It can get very busy at certain times as it very popular with walkers, so if you want to guarantee a table you can book. There are a few tables in the window which have a beautiful view so ask for a window table. Saying that, we have never booked and although we have had to wait a bit, we've always managed to eat there without too much fuss. I would certainly recommend a visit here.

A return visit for the first time in 8 years. For context we got married here 8 years ago and it was just outstanding in every way. We chose to have our wedding here after randomly stumbling across this place whilst walking (we live over an hour away). This time we were at a wedding in Threshfield and decided to pay a visit, stay over and have some memories. We arrived around 8pm to check in and was met with a busy and bustling pub full of families, couples some eating and some drinking. We were welcomed and shown to our room. Shortly after we came back down for a few drinks. A good night's sleep was had and we slept like logs. Breakfast was fantastic and hearty, the toast top-notch. Overall a wonderful inviting pub which every tme we return just makes us smile. Thank you guys. See you again soon 🤩

We went to The Devonshire last Saturday for an early-evening family meal and I don't usually write reviews but I feel it's my duty to do so after some shortfalls we experienced there that I feel need improvement. Firstly, the service was great overall. Very friendly and welcoming staff who did a great job of dealing with a busy bar area and food orders at the same time. No problem with the service from that point of view. Secondly, however, a mistake was made on the till that meant we had to wait over 30 minutes for our dessert whilst our other family members finished theirs. The staff member apologised and was very civil about the error but there was no offer of a goodwill gesture to remove it from the bill, which I would expect should be mandatory in such a situation. Moreover, when the dessert arrived (sticky toffee pudding) it was the most underwhelming I've ever had. Which leads me onto.... Thirdly, the cost per portion of the main meals and desserts was extortionate. I know Grassington is popular with tourists and therefore expected a 'premium' price on food and drink but I'd hoped the portions and quality would match, which it did not. It was acceptable but not worth the price charged at all. Finally, I want to reiterate that the service was really good and the staff members were very friendly and welcoming, as was the atmosphere in the pub but for nearly £10, three spoonfuls worth of a dessert that arrived 30 mins late is an absolute con.
